      I went in for an eye exam and ordered contacts on 1/13/2024. I paid $264.26 for a 6 month supply of contacts and never received them. I went in to inquire after a month, 3 months, and 6 months and each time they informed me the contacts were on back order and they would contact me when my order was in. I attempted to go back again in December to find out the business has permanently closed, but after some research the company stated they would still provide the goods that had already been ordered and had a phone number to call. The phone number does not work and I have not been able to reach anyone since.

      I ordered contacts from Standard Optical in February 2024 at the Lehi location valuing $221. They told me they were back ordered but they would let me know when the contacts arrived. I had to go into the store every month or so because they would never contact me with updates. Each time they told me my order should be arriving within a few weeks. In August 2024, still without my order that had been paid for, I shared frustration and interest in a refund. The employees assured me that my order would be arriving within a few weeks and to wait instead of getting a refund. The next time I went in to the store there was a notice on the door that they had gone out of business. No one contacted me about my order. No one let me know anything about the situation. No one will answer any attempts to contact them as their phone lines are all disconnected. I am now out $221 plus more as I had to pay for an additional eye exam to get access to a prescription since standard optical gave me no record of my prescription obtained through them. I also had to spend more money on contacts from another supplier. I am beyond frustrated and just want my money back for the contacts I never received.

      I ordered 6 months on contacts from Standard Optical. They told me repeatedly that they had ordered them and gave be excuses about "delays" or the orders would be filled after a "new company took over". I called repeatedly and stopped into the office. I never received my contacts or a refund for them and now all of their phone numbers including the corporate one say mailbox is full"

      I purchased some eye glasses from them and it took over 6 months to even get then and only had them for a month and they got damages and kept contacted them to get new ones cause they were warranty and paid alot of .money for then I called then over and over never git no call back or helped for over 7 months

      on august 18th 2024 I went into standard optical and attempted buy contacts. they took my money from FSA and my bank account and then never sent me my contacts. It is now November 27th and I have not received a single update on my order and the location I have purchased contacts from has shut down and will not take any of my calls or respond to emails.

      Ordered Glasses and contacts as well as pre paid for them. Store closed (Layton). Looking for my product. Story on KSL and number was given to contact and does not go through. We were told by owner that orders would be filled. Still no contact or message. At this ime I would like my product and or refund.

      I purchased glasses in July, 2024 — they cost somewhere around $750. They said that the glasses would be ready in August. It’s now November. I cannot get ahold of any of the stores. And no one has contacted me. If they cannot provide the glasses, then I want my money back so that I can go and buy glasses elsewhere.

      May 31st I purchased a pair of glasses I was told they were getting a new lab so it might take a week longer than normal. I waited 2 weeks past the time they gave me and called they gave me the run around. I called weekly and was given the run around each time. I need new glasses I want my glasses or a refund so I can go buy some. I've even called the number this site has for them and it either just rings and rings or I get a busy signal but no human.

      I am writing to file a complaint against Standard Optical regarding a significant delay and lack of communication in fulfilling my order for contact lenses. On July 15, 2024, I visited their South Jordan location for an eye exam and purchased a year's supply of contact lenses. I was assured that the contacts would arrive in about two weeks. However, despite multiple follow-ups, my order has not been fulfilled, and attempts to contact the store and headquarters have been unsuccessful. The store's voicemail is full, and recent investigations reveal the store is "temporarily" closed. This lack of service prevents me from obtaining my prescription, forcing me to consider paying out of pocket for another exam. I request the BBB's assistance in resolving this issue and ensuring I receive my prescription and a refund for the unfulfilled contact order.
