      I order my glasses 4 months ago, they kept telling that they were running a little behind. so, now June 12 they still dont have them. later I was told that they didnt know when I was going to get my glasses, they already charge my insurance and paid them $775.00 out of pocket. desided to get my money back. i'll add to this after I call my insurance and see how best to resolve this.**********

      I've been waiting since December 2022 for my replacement lenses for my glasses (I paid the replacement Insurance) and not only did they first not put in the order, January they ordered the wrong lenses, February the correct lenses got ordered but forgot to include transition lenses so here we are, June 7th and I still don't have my replacement lenses. Excuses I kept getting was "Our lab was in the middle of moving." I've requested a refund on the amount I paid for the insurance and have not received a check in the mail. Extremely frustrated and will never shop at Standard Optical any location again!

      My husband and I went to a yearly exam and glasses updates on 4/21/23. The doctor was quiet and kind of cold and not very personable. The girl helping us when we were picking our frames was nice enough. The real issue comes in TWO parts:1) I paid nearly $500 out of pocket for our exams and glasses. I should have paid about $170 out of pocket according to my insurance. I have tried to contact them MULTIPLE times to get the billing and procedure codes so that I can submit for reimbursement on my own with NO response. The last time I heard from anyone about billing was nearly 1 month ago.2). I got my glasses in two weeks. My husband is STILL waiting on his glasses and it's been nearly two months since they were ordered. When I called them two weeks ago to check in they told me that the lenses had broken and they had to reorder and start from scratch (no big dealer, I understand that) my big issue is that it's been nearly TWO months and they cannot tell me when the glasses will be ready or where they are at in the process. They never answer the phone either. The only way to get them to do anything is to go into the office and deal with them face to face. Will NEVER go back to this office or company. 0/5 stars.

      Paid for a contact lens prescription and wasn't given one while they ordered me some trial lenses. I called to get the status of the trial lenses two weeks after the appointment and told it would be several more weeks. Asked if I needed anything to order elsewhere, and they said just the prescription we gave you which apparently was just for glasses. Tried to get a hold of them again, and their phone wasn't working. Called corporate, and had to leave a voice-mail because no representatives were available. Corporate called me back and has no record of my prescription and no explanation on why these lenses would take months. Asked if I ordered them, would it be faster they said no. Corporate wasn't able to get a hold of the store and couldn't get me my prescription but did confirm that i paid more for to get the contact prescription. Said someone will get back to me at some point.

      Wow! I wish I would have looked here first!! They staff was friendly and seemed helpful but they did not know anything about when glasses would be completed. The first time I went in I got a frame that fell apart in a few months. Thinking it was a fluke, I ordered the same frame. It broke the same day!! They were not able to give any reasonable answer for this. When I asked for a refund I was refused, even after talking with the District Manager. I ordered a different frame and was told it would be ready in about a week. When I did not hear from then after two weeks I called. They did not know what was going on. I continued to call, they said they would call me with info and never did. I was not able to get through to the District Manager, it seemed she was not returning my call. They staff did not know that she was on leave. I also spoke with the Vice President. No one could tell me when my glasses would be ready. I would call about every two weeks. I would ask for a call back when they found out, THEY WOULD NEVER CALL BACK. I continued to ask for a refund and was denied. I order my first pair in September 2022, they final pair in February and it is still not here and no idea when!! I finally asked my credit card company to deny payment. They are doing that. When I called the business to let them know, they still have not reached out to me. Beware!! Do not do business with this company not only for such terrible customer service but also a unreliable product.

      I had a decent experience when I first picked out glasses for my son. Unfortunately, his glasses broke within a few months. I went into the store to utilize the warranty. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem to replace them. I made the request in January, I still don't have his replacement.... I have made several calls to the store and reached out to customer service and no one seems to care to return my calls or messages.I finally had to take him somewhere else and purchased a new eye exam and glasses. I feel like I wasted my money at Standard Optical on a low quality product and the store refuses to honor the warranty.Standard Optical's customer service is a joke! In a world where we can buy any frames we want online, you would think brick and mortar stores would be more helpful but Standard Optical will wind up disappearing in the dust while customers receive the customer service they deserve from reputable companies online instead.

      It has now been over 7 weeks since I had my exam and order input. When asked about an ETA, I was told they couldn't even provide that. I called the corporate headquarters and they told me to talk to the same people who told me they couldn't give me an ETA. On line sources say prescriptions should take **** days to make. Not two months or longer.
