I dropped off a substantial amount of money at the **** and the *** simply declined my transaction but took my money. I went into the local branch and told them about the issue, they told me that their *** wasnt working (no sign or message). From there they said they sent an disputed charge and I should have my money back in 7 days, this took a bit but I was trying to be patient and understanding despite how frustrating the situation was.The next few days I get an overdraft fee as this money wouldve kept me out of the negative. I am a little frustrated so I call the help desk, they tell me apparently nothing was submitted and they manually submitted itand it should take up to 10 days. This is just really frustrating and unprofessional, especially since the basis of a bank is trusting them handling your money. It leaves a really bad taste in my mouth and Im seriously considering switching banks.

I will never do business with these rude folks again and I will dissuade any other person form doing business with them.We had a loan for a camp trailer through them. Right off the bat they messed up our mailing address. Then when we did not see any paperwork from them, in only a couple week period, they start dinging us with a late fee. Pretty hard to pay a loan when we don't have the materials to pay it. Very rude when we reached out to them. We set up auto pay after that. Somehow, again we get late fees, as they were not pulling the payments correctly. Now nearly 4 years into this loan we upgraded our camper. We wanted to pay off the loan, get the title in hand so we could start advertising our camper for private sale. Again we reach out, they say the fastest way to pay off the note and get the title is via a direct wire transfer. They said that would get us the title in a week or two versus a month if we sent a check. I took off work to do this nearly a month ago. Been watching the mail, watching summer slip by and our best chances to sell this trailer. So we call them. Yes, the transfer had gone through, but they had not routed the money internally to pay off the loan. To add injury to insult, they took out the auto payment on the loan a few days ago, when asked about that and getting that money sent back, they acted like they didn't know how, that it would be refunded somehow. Should be a direct transfer right back into the account.Yes, never again will I deal with these incompetent and rude people.

The customer service has been terrible. This ********************************************* has been fraudulently taking money out of my father's account for over a year. I've been trying to get them to fix it and they won't. I finally reached someone who was willing to actually listen to me and who let me explain the entire situation. He said he understood, could see that the credit union was at fault, and would get it taken care of. He gave me a number I could use to text him if the issue wasn't resolved. When the next statement came, the problem hadn't been fixed - they are still taking money from my dad's account fraudulently. I tried to text the number I was given and the only thing that happens is a message saying "the question was resolved." The question was not resolved, the credit union is still stealing my dad's money, and now they won't return my calls. I'll be visiting their headquarters with a lawyer soon.Trust me. Bank someplace else. At least the big corporate banks, like Zions and ***** Fargo are forced to actually talk to you when you have a situation. There is zero accountability and zero oversight and zero care for customers at Mountain America.
