      Never heard of this bank, I live in MA. I found them recommended on a boating page, and they did come in 6% lower than the ************ so I financed my boat from them. That went well, during the process they offered to refi my truck for a decent rate, which we did. Then started getting threatening phone calls looking for the title. If I had the title, why would I need a loan? This took several months to rectify. Now I just traded that truck in, which pays off the loan. In MA, your GAP insurance automatically refunds to you when you pay off the loan its attached to. These thieves have it so it only refunds if you pay the loan off in 60 days. So basically they wrote it so they win everytime, who pays off an auto loan in 2 months? Gotta check on the legality of it in my state, but definitely steer clear of this clown show!

      Never given a review on BBB before. Mountain America was so bad I have to say something. WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A BANK. Took multiple attempts over 3 months to purchase a vehicle with MACU financing. And I still dont have the title to get my plates and registration done. The level of disappointment is shocking.

      They will lock you out of your account if you have a single loan sent to collections so you can't use the app to pay your other loan. You have to go in or call them directly and calling them is a absolute joke. You leave a voice-mail on a Sunday and they call you at 7am. Some of us aren't up yet. Then you try to call back several times and goes to voice-mail. I and so glad I don't bank with then. They may have my loans for now but when I get in a better financial situation I'm taking my loans and going somewhere else

      I purchased a truck in January my first payment was not due till march 15th I tried to pay **** in January and asked for it to all go to principal they charged me $250.00 in interest. without asking me. i called the branch on **** so. The loan officer told me nope can't do it. so I went to the branch manager and was told he would put in the request for the reimbursement. after 3 weeks I call and asked for an update and was told it was denied, but he would follow up the next day and let me know why, he never did. I called the regional manager he said he would call the branch but forgot. This branch is so unprofessional, so dishonest.

      they used to be great, but now they are incompetent and difficult ultimately to deal with. if you don't like one reps answer, call back! and keep trying til you get one you like since they will all be different! Not that it will do you any good, they will do whatever they want regardless of what they tell you. And nothing in their policies you agree to in writing is how they handle situations. Worst bank ever and I can't wait to be rid of them.

      I applied for an auto loan after 3 years of rebuilding my credit. I put **** down for a loan ammount of *****. I net (after taxes) 98k a year and have 0 loans. They gave me a few points I needed to reach and I spent 5 1/2 hours of my time trying to meet their expectations so I didn't pull my credit somewhere else for the loan. ****, at the end of meeting their requirements I was denied anyways. If you are spending time in your life to do the right thing and someone treats you that way it should be criminal. I shouldn't have been rejected because I've been paying off bad debt from 3 years ago when my business was shut down for nearly 3 months during Covid 19. If I had filed bankruptcy they would have approved me. Last year I paid off 45k of debt. This year I will pay off the other 30k. They're harming my credit score by pulling a hard hit, asking me to meet specific conditions, and then still denying my loan app. They asked that I pay off an outstanding debt- so I called the company right then and paid the ******* off. That is ridiculous fraud and I shouldn't have my credit or my wife's credit hurt.

      We've had fraud on our account twice in 5 months as well as having my husbands identity stolen when they were hacked. Every person we speak to tells us something different. No one will return phone calls. People at the branches say you have to speak to corporate. Corporate doesn't respond. We thought we were getting somewhere finally, but she ended up ghosting us too. I would not bank here if it was the last place on Earth to bank with. They don't care. They do nothing to help. If we ever recover and can actually open a new bank account you can bet it will not be with them! Horrible service and company. I don't understand how they are still im business!

      Terribly run. I spent hours filling out a loan application, answering follow-up emails, signing documents, clarifying, before they finally told me they don't do HELOC's on investment properties. Why not tell me that in the very beginning?!? Shady and dishonest.

      I was trying to get out a loan for some dental work and at the beginning they tried saying I was denied for something and when asking for a manager they refused to give me a manager and than came back saying I was denied for another reason I will be finding a new bank and I would not suggest going through them I have had them for years and never had problems ***** now I would not suggest anyone going through them

      My husband had a truck financed through this credit union. He passed away. According to the **** I needed a lien release in order change the title into my name. I called the credit union and they told me I needed "a death certificate, non-probate affidavit, AND a bill of sale". They refused to help me with any alternatives, because I cannot sell a vehicle that is not in my name. THAT IS FRAUD.I called them multiple times, and got very little help. They even gave me a hard time about getting the final payoff amount-they kept telling me I had to wait an additional 30 days. My husband passed in August-it's October, 30 days has definitely come and gone. I'm so relieved to finally be done with this terrible company.
