I cancelled my service in June 2024. I was told an email would be sent advising me when they would collect their bin, and that never happened. Admittedly, I take half the blame because I should have followed up with in a few weeks to see why I never got an email stating when they would come to collect their bin; but I had at least two surgeries within that time frame. Needless to say I had more pressing matters to deal with. I decided to reach back out again recently to my contact stating my bin never got collected, but no response. I submitted a service request online; received an email confirmation on 12/28; and I still haven't heard back from anyone. I checked my junk/spam folder; still nothing. Needless to say, their recycling bin never got collected after cancelling my service six months ago. So I had to get someone to haul off their bin for me and it's now in the landfill!!Recyclops, LLC

This company is terrible. They jacked up the price by almost $20/mo more than what I was paying. They're way too strict on what they will accept. If there's anything in the bag that they won't accept, they just toss the whole bag in the garbage instead of sorting out those items... even if it's just 1 or 2 items. What's the point in trying to recycle when the recycling company just tosses it in the garbage anyway. Additionally, they will continuously charge your card every month with or without permission. There's no way to delete your card information out of their system either. Plus, I have been trying to cancel my service for a couple weeks now. I left my cans out by the mailbox to get picked up like I told them in my cancellation notice, and they are still sitting there even though someone came through for pickup already. I never would have thought it would be so difficult to cancel this service, and I will never recommend this company to anyone else because of this difficulty just in trying to cancel. 1 starRecyclops is a terrible company to deal with. I don't remember being told it was a recurring renewal (which I don't do), and thought I was just paying for a year. They hold your credit card hostage, then just charge the $324.00 yearly rate without authorization. There is no information, instructions or way to cancel service online through the manage your subscription. I can't speak to anyone by phone, and after going back and forth with customer service through email, they say they will credit all but $50, for 2 months of service even though the account was suspended for 2 months and there hasn't been any service. I put in a dispute with the card company in case the partial credit doesn't come through. I really don't trust them.Review fromAshley S

I can echo EXACTLY what the review below me says. I have been recycling for years with Recyclops. From the beginning, they have been a horrible company to deal with, but they were the only option in my area, so I continued with their service. This past year they MORE THAN DOUBLED their pricing without noticed and charged my credit card without authorization to charge the higher amount. I have gone back and forth with their customer service **** ********* who has been zero help. My service has been canceled for over a month now and they still have not come to pick up the bin off the curb. All of my emails have gone unanswered.Not only that, I was at the grocery store yesterday and noticed that they provided cardboard boxes to people to carry out their groceries in. I asked the cashier if they would accept cardboard boxes because I hate to throw them away since I just recently had my recycling service cancelled. She asked if I happened to use Recyclops and said that her plan is up in spring and she is not renewing. I have never heard one positive thing about this company. ****, PLEASE, bring another recycling service in so that we can all be done with Recyclops once and for all.Recyclops, LLC

We're sorry to hear that this service wasn't a good fit for you. We work very hard to provide a service of sustainability to communities that otherwise would not have a recycling program. While we provide a convenient recycling solution to thousands of customers across the nation, ultimately it does not work for everyone. We're sorry to hear you are one of these individuals that were unsatisfied with our service. While our prices did increase in May of 2023, they certainly did not double and communications were sent to all impacted customers in April of 2023. It is unfortunate that you were caught off guard by this increase. An email announcing this increase was successfully delivered to the email address you provided Recyclops, but it remains unopened from what we see on our end. We do offer pickups with a less frequent pickup frequency at a lower cost. Had the service been a good fit, this possibly would have been a viable option. We do wish you the very best and hope you find a solution that works for you in order to divert materials from landfills. I have recycled for years and Recyclops is by far the worst of any company I have used. They more than doubled my rates without even informing me. They just billed my credit card. There is no way to cancel. Your only option to reach them is to submit a form but they won't respond. On 01Jan24, I submitted a form asking to cancel. I have followed up numerous times. They will not respond. They do not offer a phone number and if you call their corporate office, they will not answer. I will never use this company again.Recyclops, LLC

On November 7th, 2023, an email was delivered to the email address you provided us that announced the exciting new of your Recyclops recycling being ran by a local franchisee. In this email, details of the new franchisee including their contact information such as email and direct phone number were provided. You may have also been given this information when our cooperate agent(s) returned your call from 1/19/24. The number for our main office was never intended on being difficult to find. By simply typing in "phone number" in the search bar of our knowledge base, the number to our office is disclosed. We are also sorry to hear that you were caught off guard in regards to the increased rates. We notified all of our customers impacted by a price increase on 4/28/23 that costs would be changing on their next subscription renewal and we declared that increased amount in the email that was successfully delivered. Despite your recent experiences, it looks as though throughout your years of being provided recycling service you have reported very few issues and overall have had a neutral if not positive time using Recyclops pickup services. We are sorry to hear that the current conditions have ultimately played a factor in your choosing to cancel. 1 starPaid up front for an annual subscription and then received an email a few months after that they will be charging an additional $12 a month doubling to cost we originally signed up and paid in full for. Its dishonest and poor service to charge customers additional fees after they have already paid in full on an agreed amount. Would recommend not subscribing with them. Our originally agreed amount was $144 plus can and bag fees and now its $324 a year.Review fromJosh B

2 starsHorrible, horrible business practices. We have used Recyclops several months and have already had two missed pick *** but they dont hesitate to charge me the full month both times. I have held for someone to answer the phone as much as 15 minutes until I gave up and hung up the phone. Anytime you try emailing you get the auto reply that you are in the queue and weeks later still get no reply. I am amazed that a company with business practices this bad remains in operation.
