This company is fraudulent. They owe me $4700 for a trip they cancelled. I was to receive my money within 30 days. That time period has passed and I have seen nothing. Attempts to call or email them are futile. Their answering machine says all business is done via email. Emails are not answered. Please do not do business with them.

This company has is a fraud and stole money !My husband and I scheduled Come Sail Away Cruise Thru History with ******************* cruise in 2019. The cruise was canceled multiple times due to the Covid pandemic. We were told that Cruise Builder could not guarantee the cruise with this host/speaker and we were given the option to pick another cruise with ***** Cruises. We confirmed out Mediterranean cruise with Cruise Builders that was to take place 5/13/23 5/28/23. All was well until on 2/23/23, Cruise Builders notified us that the cruise was canceled. We emailed them and told them we have a confirmation, how can this be? They replied that the cruise is on but due to inflation, they can no longer provide airfare, hotel or transportation. We looked up the cruise on ***** and the cost was roughly $4000. We paid $12,500. They have held our money for three years and now state that they cannot provide transportation, hotel and airfare. The difference of $8500 would clearly cover the cost. Cruise Builders will not reply to emails and there is no phone number. Better Business has multiple complaints, as well as Yelp. This cruise was paid for with honest hard work and is a substantial amount for two retirees. They need to return all the funds if they cannot honor the contract.

Adding another compliant will this resolve this matter we find our self currently in??This has been a very unpleasant situation to find our self in. Another comment regarding the unprofessional treatment this company apparently engages in is of no concern to the people working at this company. What recourse does an individual have in this matter ??? After several attempts to reschedule, receiving no response to our questions from Cruise Builders we are upset and looking for some answer, or solution to this matter.******************

I guess most often the only people who write reviews are the unhappy ones. In March 2022, I booked two trips with Latter Day Travel. I am a recent widow and I wanted to travel and feel safe- going with people with similar values, to places I really wanted to see.My first trip was in Oct 2022, a 3 Temple Trip, to ******, *****, and ****, with a 5 day Mediterranean Cruise. It was so amazing. Everyone on the trip was wonderful, including our tour guide and educators. My 2nd trip was to the Holy Land, ****** and *****, along with a 7 day cruise, in Dec 2022. LOVED all of it. When I had questions I could call and get answers. A couple of times I needed to leave a message rather than getting to talk someone directly. they always returned my calls within a few days. A few times I sent emails with questions. Those were always answered as well. I had never traveled out of the US before. They did an excellent job helping me feel at ease. We had pre trips Zoom calls, and great emails with details we needed. I booked both of my trips when they still paid for plane fare too and they honored it, making my flights arrangements even after they changed their policy, based on my booking date. We even enjoyed connecting with others on our trips through What's App.

So infuriating!!! How can they get by with this?My *********** were originally with the Cruise through History. We were given til November 2023 to use our credits. Were scheduled for half of our original trip this September and received an email that they are broke and have cancelled our trip. They hope they will be able to offer something in the future and are sorry. We are losing almost $11,000. This cannot be happening. They kept everyones money and mismanaged it and are broke.

Just two weeks before our scheduled trip to ****** and **** (and after the original trip, cancelled due to COVID was downgraded to exclude a Mediterranean cruise and an extra $1550 was charged) we were notified that this company (also known as Latter Day Travel and VacationBuilder) "has no choice but to cancel your trip." Of course there will be no refund, but they are sorry for the "inconvenience." ************ has $9650 of our hard-earned money. This was to be the trip of a lifetime and the celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary. They have had most of that money for over 3 years! This is fraud! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!

After one year of trying to recover some of the $9,000 we lost on a Mediterranean cruise booked for Oct. of 2021, we cannot say enough about how bad this company is! We did not buy travel insurance for $500 per person, that is our fault. But the morning of our flight out of SLC, my husband had a medical emergency. After surgery and the doctor's admonition to avoid travel until he healed, we missed our trip. I called Latter-day Travel the morning we headed to the doctor instead of the airport. After a year of trying to get answers and at least some credit for flights, etc., we have received credit for $1,000 to be used only by booking another trip with Latter day travel. They kept telling us we had to contact the airlines to get ticket reimbursement, but the airlines indicated it had to come for the travel agency. It took a full year to finally be told by the airlines that the ticket credits had expired. We could only use the $1,000 credit with LD travel by booking a short cruise for two months from now. After that, if it ever happens, and buying travel insurance, we will never use tis company again! WORST travel agency ever, a subsidiary of Vacation Builders.

We booked a Mediterranean cruise out of ***** in 2019 for March 2020 (on ***** Cruises, with airfare and two nights in ****). Unfortunately Covid hit and our trip was canceled, and we were told that our credit is good for 2 years. Earlier this year, they couldn't book our cruise because they don't have any schedule from ***** yet. Well, ***** published their schedule last month and I left multiple messages (always with "we are very busy and will get back to you") and several emails but am not getting anything at all. I should have looked into the company's ratings before I booked because now I think they are not going to give back our money and just let the two years credit expires and pocket the money. After reading all the other negative rating, I would advise anybody looking for a cruise to book directly with the cruise lines. We did that several times now with Princess and we are extremely happy with the service. Will NEVER use this company again.
