I was contacted by a CSR from this company stating they were collecting a debt owed to Spectrum. I did previously have a debt from Spectrum so I made a payment at that moment ( 5/13/25@8:14am) for $250.76. When I asked would I receive a receipt she assured me I would and had me verify my email. I called on May 14, 2025, after not receiving a receipt via email. I was given a confirmation #********* and told the payment will close out at the end of the day in which I would then receive a receipt. I then called on 5/16/25 and was told that the "backend office" sends out the receipt and they were not sure how long that takes. I then sent an email to customer care asking for a receipt. I received a response stating to give them a call. It's the same phone number of the customer service representatives who were of no assistance. In the email I also asked for them to send me proof that they actually had the right to acquire this debt and show that this payment was reported as paid to the company and show on my credit report. They did not provide the information I requested. I checked my credit report and didn't see this debt listed. After reading the reviews of this company I believe I may have been scammed. People are saying this company is fake and they call saying they are collecting debts for Comcast and Spectrum.Business Response
