      We purchased the Bassett Carolina sofa and loveseat at an ********* **** location, which we have been overall very disappointed with.
      The furniture is mediocre in comfort, and our sofa SQUEAKS — not a huge issue on its own, but given the price and Bassett’s reputation, I expected much higher quality.
      When I reached out about the squeaking, ********* **** did send a technician who was able to lessen the issue. I was actually told, "it is not a defect per Bassett and is the nature of this frame design." For a brand that positions itself as high quality, that explanation just didn’t sit right with us.

      I faced a major issue with Bassett Furniture in ****** regarding a wool rug and dining table I purchased for $7,500. The designer visited my home multiple times and was fully aware that I have an older dog who occasionally has accidents on the carpet. My primary concern is that Bassett is selling a rug made from a combination of wool and viscose, which is extremely difficult and, in many cases, impossible to clean, and did not disclose that issue to me prior to purchase.
      At no point was I informed that this carpet was inappropriate for households with pets or children. Several rug cleaning specialists have confirmed that the carpet cannot be effectively cleaned or repaired by re-dyeing the stained areas. When I spoke with my representative at Bassett Furniture, she acknowledged that she does not recommend these rugs for families, yet she still suggested this particular rug for my situation.
      If I had known cleaning the rug would be nearly impossible due to the viscose—essentially a paper product—I would have made a very different choice. Additionally, Bassett Furniture was significantly more expensive for Hunter Douglas blinds and Carol drapery compared to Decor Fabrics and Design, a local specialty retailer for those products. There are many better options for furniture and related products in *********. I will not shop at Bassett Furniture again due to their failure to inform me about the cleaning issues associated with viscose carpets and their outrageous prices for ancillary products like blinds and drapery.

      $6000 for a small sectional and the cushions are worn out and misshapen after only 2 months! They felt very poor quality and uncomfortable from the start too. My other cheap couch feels much higher quality and was a fraction of the cost. They are not helpful in the store. You cannot leave reviews on their website and now I know why. Clearly they do not care about quality or talking care of their customers. Do not purchase from them!

      Bassett furniture is defiantly low quality with high prices and they do not stand by their product!
      I ordered a sofa and an ottoman a few months ago. After waiting 2 months for furniture to arrive, I was astonished to see how my 6K sofa and the ottoman that wasn't even matching look so cheaply made. The tailoring (cutting and stitching) of the cushions were poorly done that prevent them aligning. I contacted the store manager Bart ******, but he said there is nothing he can do and he hung up the phone.

      Purchased a $6,000 reclining sofa in June 2024 at the Bassett store in ***** **. I I am a guy who never uses anything but everyday mild soap to wash my very short hair. After reclining on a 4-month-old sofa ONLY once the very first time in October 2024 a stain appeared. I think it is a defective fabric and has been given the runaround for months including from the fabric protection company for the plan I bought as well.. They tried to clean it 2 times. Not sure how professional they were as it was performed by a subcontractor. All they offered was to redo a fully attached back cushion with a non-matching fabric cover. I bet they discontinued that exact fabric. Can you believe that I should have a patchwork sofa which is UNACCEPTABLE. They want me to accept a mismatched large cushion right alongside two original large back cushions of a $6,000 new sofa, I have purchased about 6 reclining sofas less expensive in the past and NEVER had an issue.
      Bassett store only offers excuses about fabric and the chemicals in your body and even medications Nope not buying their excuses. Either the Fabric is defective, or they used an inferior fabric product. Now I am told after the fact they do not use any fabric protection. I wish I had read the reviews about the poor quality of their products before buying. Bassett- It's time to replace my sofa.

      I strongly advise against purchasing anything from Bassett Furniture. My experience has been nothing but a nightmare! After two years of dealing with poorly manufactured furniture, including mismatched leather colors and extremely wrinkled upholstery, I still haven’t been refunded for their subpar products.
      Now, they’re offering to refund me only after they pick up the defective furniture, leaving me with nothing in my two living rooms. This is completely unacceptable. They clearly don’t value their customers, only their profits. For the amount of money I paid, I expected quality, but instead, I received a disaster.
      Save yourself the frustration—look elsewhere for your furniture needs! Bassett Furniture does not deserve your business

      I bought a "Magnificent Motion" recliner sofa from Bassett. It is not magnificent and I am not happy with this sofa at all. I have had service here twice and they keep telling me there is nothing they can do to fix the problems I am having. The sofa makes a disturbing noise when you recline. Leather on leather they say. Well I have had 2 leather recling sofoas prior to this very expensive one and never experienced this rubbing noise.
      I paid for the upgrade on the cushions and I have wrinkles in all three seats. Service says they are "comfort wrinkels" and they can't fix it. I wouldn't mind if these large wrinlkels disappered when not in use but no, you are left with 3 permanent areas in the middle of each cushion sofa cushion and the sofa is less than a year old! I asked if they could replace the cushions with covering that is fitted better to avoid this and the answer was no.
      Why wouldn't Bassett even want to try to satisfy their customers? I think the upgraded cushions were meant for this sofa and maybe that is why there is noise and cushions that don't fit well. Very poor customer service on their part!
      I want to alert anyone considering this sofa before they buy so they are aware and are not as dissapointed as I have been.

      Buyer beware! Save your money and go to ****** ********* or ******* *** ******** to buy couches. They are cheaper and hold up better than Bassett Furniture. Bassett does not stand by its products.
      I paid $5k for 2 couches on sale for my family room. I paid a surcharge to change to a “performance” fabric. Within 2 months I called the manufacturer to tell them about the abnormal wear and tear on the fabric and cushions. I was told that pilling is normal and not covered under warranty. They sent me a tool to scrape the fabric to remove the pilling. It’s been 9 months and the fabric looks like I had the couches for 10 years. My *** couches did not look this bad when I replaced them after 12 years. We have 2 adults and no children in my household. In my opinion, the fabric is not suitable for upholstery and the cushions are substandard. Customer service refuses to do anything further about the fabric. I will never buy anything from Bassett again and will take every opportunity to tell people about my experience.

      I spent a large amount of money on a cheaply made bedroom set from Basset last year in 2023. I have had to fight with Basset to make them honor their warranty on workman ship and defects . It has not been an easy nor smooth process. Buyer beware. Today I received a call from the store manager Christi **** who had a serious attitude and hung up in my face because the conversation did go the way she wanted it to. Very childish behavior and not professional at all. The furniture I bought was of poor quality and high price. In less than 3 months it began to fall apart. The handles on my dresser are misaligned and the sides of both nightstands and buckling. I have strings hanging out of the holes in my dresser a year after ordering the item so that I can open each drawer. Drawer don’t close flush and a whole list of other issues that they have been unable to fix . If you want to purchase quality furniture I would suggest you shop elsewhere because if you buy her you may end up with some pieces of junk and a side of attitude and poor customer service . Store management needs serious customer experience training. Christi **** that’s you. Our last conversation showed me your total lack of training and I wish to have absolutely no future interact with you .

      I too am very disappointed in Bassett furniture quality of furniture. I could’ve done better at *** **** and save the money. I’ve been sitting on furniture all my life I’m 68 years old. I purchased two of the same sofas both of them one and a half years ago. It feels like the service have been sat in for 100 years. It is only me I have no children no pets no stains on the sofas, they’re in good condition you sit in it you plop down but you’re sitting in a, beanbag sofa horrible yes I’ve discussed it with them. Yes they changed the core to the cushions. It does the same thing thoroughly disgusted with the quality of the furnishings. I’m glad I wrote this review. It’s a really bothered me that I had to spend this kind of money on crap .
