      I have banked with ETRADE for well over a decade. I invest tens of thousands of dollars with them. My lawyer inadvertently sent a wire transfer intended for my ETRADE account, but with a SWIFT code that belonged to ******************************************************* (ETRADE's parent company). *************************** accepted these funds, but did not transfer them to ETRADE.I contacted ***************************, but they did not know how to assist since I do not bank with them. I called ETRADE to see if they can contact *************************** on my behalf to retrieve these funds. He said they would contact ** and had me upload my confirmation forms. I could call back in a couple of days and they will have an answer. Since they leave case notes, any representative will be able to help **** called back after a couple days, and someone clearly didn't understand the problem, because they simply said that cannot find the transaction at ETRADE. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me a manager would call me back. They never ****** I called back and thankfully one rep called ****** *******. She explained I would need to have my lawyer recall the funds. My lawyer made attempts to recall the funds through his bank and provided me with the documentation. *************************** responded that the request is being investigated.After weeks, I made another attempt to contact ETRADE to see if they can make contact with *************************** again in order to facilitate their investigation. They finally transferred me to a supervisor--****** ********--who was unwilling to contact ****** ******* claiming that the banks do not talk to each other--even though a previous representative contacted them, and ****** ******* transfers me to ETRADE every time I call. He did not seem to have a good working knowledge of wire transfers and did not make any attempt to assist. I asked to be transferred to his supervisor, and he simply said it would take a long time and did not transfer me.This is not how customer service should operate.

      Zero should be an option to this malicious scamming company that only blames everything on volatility. Volatility is a euphemism for scamming peoples accounts!!!! Their platform is a worthless delayed timing on quotes and options that do not buy and sell like they are supposed to. Theyre complete scammers and hope theyre out of business soon

      This is a terrible company to do business with.The employees are very unprofessional,rude and do not care about their customers,They placed a freeze on my brokerage account for more than 1 month.Saying someone not authorized tried to log into my account.I have been a customer at Etrade for more than 10 years,i provided all the necesary documents to get the freeze lifted,they have refused with no plausible explanation.The managers their will never return your call or respond to e-mails.If you have an account at Etrade, my advice is to close the account, and transfer your money elsewere.This is the worst experience i have had with a brokerage firm, and trust me, i do have experience in this business.They only care about making money when you do trade with all their outrageous hidden fees at Etrade that eats on any return.Minimal profit if any at Etrade,

      Zero stars. I deposited money right or of my bank account. Now I'm not a rich person. I'm not buying 1000 shares. I wanted to make my first purchase and it's been over a week and my money is just sitting there and now they won't return it and close it out until Tuesday then it will take a they say 7 to 10 business days. I think they are taking advantage of small purchases and using our money while we wait for it to come back. It looks like a scam to tie up funds. Thanks for ruining my first experience trying to buy stock. I recommend go to public trades. ********** They release your funds immediately and you have the power to purchase right away. E Trade is horrible. Never again.

      Never use this company for external account transfers. They rejected me 2 times, saying that I didnt pay for the *** fee, and in fact I did! I even sent the receipt to them and it still got rejected. These people dont have any idea what theyre doing. I took my business elsewhere.

      I logged in a few weeks ago to look at my small porfolios. They had changed the look of their website and I couldn't find what I needed, so I chatted. I told the agent my concern, she said, "What do you mean?" I tried further to explain how I used to find it and now I'm clicking on everything and I cannot see what I'm wanting and she said, "What do you mean?" Ugh!After I finally found what I was looking for, and after I'd received a notification regarding one of my stocks, I checked and noticed they had dropped drastically, I decided to withdraw the money. Not a wise choice, but still, I panicked! I waited for a week for the deposit. After checking with my credit union, and pasted a copy of the transaction for them to see, they told me the four digits on the transaction were not ones of either of my accounts. I tried to contact customer support and finally got an agent who told me the transaction was completed. I told him, "No, it did not get deposited into my account" and I need the account number changed on it. He checked and said the funds were *********** complaint it, why didn't they notify me it was unsuccesful? Why do I have to chase it down and find out the checking account I opened my funds with was closed, because of fraudulent activity and I had to close it? I did not remember this. I did not think to check my funding accounts before requesting a withdrawal. Just simply email me and tell me the account was closed!

      They made a MATERIAL change to their Max **** Checking terms of service and only notified through an email. They removed direct deposit as one of the conditions for waiving the $15 monthly fee. They failed to highlight this removal. They only bolded and highlighted removing foreign transaction debit fees and the $5,000 balance condition which was already pre-existing. I asked them to credit the $15 fee back, but they refused.

      Do not use this company to handle your funds, if you have a debit card and you go out to eat or use it on Cash app, Apple Pay, or Meta they will restrict you from using it and you have to verify like 20 pieces of information before they will restict it, they do not notify you so you have to call them which can be 2 hours on hold before someone answers and when they do answer they generally hang up because they are confused, stay far away from this company for anything financial

      Terrible customer support, not knowledge, doesnt understand their own platform. Their platform has so many bugs and displays inconsistent information between their own desktop and mobile platforms. Developers claim its working properly. once *************************** bought Etrade, their products and services went in the garbage. They withhold your dividends for extra days compared to other brokerages. Stay away from etrade. Much better brokerages out there. No wonder better business bureaus rating is an F.

      s***** customer service they make you waste your time trying to do the stupid verification which took 2 1/2 weeks by the way and then when you try and do the verification, theyll tell you you cant have an account wont give you the reason why will yell at you when youre trying to get information I was yelled at by the supervisor over the phone, trying to get more information was denied to speak to someone higher up a s***** business and a bad way to conduct it
