      Sent my son in July 2022 to ******. We were led to believe that this was going to be a really great experience for STEM. Dont believe the hype. Save your money and take your kid on an incredible trip around the world. After the initial money was spent to even go$2700 just for tuition and then another $1k for travel (flight and unaccompanied minor charges) AND then I had to supply linens, towels, etc.! All in around $5k. the first night, my son didnt get food or water until AFTER 9:30pm. They missed dinner due to late flights; he finally got his schedule and found out he didnt get his 1 Or 2nd choice which is why he really wanted to go(robotics and engineering). Said that all he did was regurgitate info from a book. The final night was a catered dinner and ice cream social was chicken nuggets and one ice popsicle. The people that they hire to ****** your kids to the airplane before handing them off to the airline were less than competent and didnt know where to go. My son, who thought that this was going to be an experience of a lifetime, was in tears when he got off the plane. Had I known, I would have skipped this privileged and special invitation and taken him to Europe where he could have actually learned something this summer. Save your money! Its a scam and waaayyyy over hyped! Very disappointed.

      If I could give a negative star rating I would. This is a total scam. They somehow were able to process my payment in a matter of seconds, but when I cancel WELL in advance and within the parameters of their own terms, I am told that I won't see my refund for 8 weeks. EIGHT WEEKS?!! And from what I read, I'll be lucky to see it then. Also, they force you to use the travel insurance to recoup half of it. Of course, we aren't able to choose the insurance company and... you guessed it ... it's been a month and all they have done so far is acknowledge that they received my claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am planning to go higher up the ladder than the BBB since they are poorly rated here and it's not phasing them any. I'm sure my daughter's school chose them in good faith, but obviously didn't check here first (and I, stupidly, trusted the school and didn't check either). I believe some press attention might be in order.

      BEWARE!!!! NOT A HAPPY PARENT!!!!I sent my 14 year old daughter on the ************* trip in June 2022, and she and her friends were stranded on the side of the road TWICE!!! The first time the bus broke down in a Wal-Mart parking lot for 2+ hrs. The second time the kids were stranded on the side of the road with no food or water near the ******************* for 3+ hours. After contacting Worldstrides I was told this was "within situations might happen".

      Worldstrides would not refund my money even though I purchased the travel insurance. My son and I were going to *******/******** and had to take a covid test before leaving which they said I tested positive for (the nurses were at school after hours) so I was told to go to the doctor the next day and I did test negative so I believe it was a false positive but they would not accept that test. I had no symptoms of covid at all. Luckily, my son was able to go but they still would not let me go on the trip and would not refund my money, right at $4000. I contacted customer service several times thruough email and phone calls and they said they would look into the situation. I had to stay on them and they finally said I did not purchase travel insurance (which I always do)!. They changed payment companies in the middle of me paying for the trip so I think my money was lost or pocketed. This is a bunch of crock and I will not tell anyone to use them if this is what they do to people. I am not happy with this company at all and will not refer anyone to them. And if my school uses them again we will just not go. This is sad that they do people this way!
