      I wish I read all the reviews before booking with this lousy travel company Layovers with ***** because they charge high rates to get horrible airline choices apparently for everyone in the past including the recent trip taken to ****** they offer no refunds and have horrible customer service children are at major risk using this company

      Rough start to trip with missing reservations at hotel and having to sleep 8 in a room (which exceeds fire code for a at-capacity hotel). That is something that shouldve been caught by a travel company. Bus drivers were often late due to driver swaps and misplanned departureswhich got the overall schedule behind. But the activities we were able to do in *** were greatbut hectic schedules but a damper on them. Would also love to see better advertising with the ******** concert that would draw in the general public, but high ticket prices and lack of info pretty much meant it was only parents in the audience. Perhaps some work could be done with ******** where parents that have travelled with the kids could get pictures of them on stage. Instead, the ******** staff barked orders, were impatient and rushed. Just 5-10 extra minutes wouldve made such a difference to alland more likely to get this trip recommended again.Would appreciate seeing a credit to accounts for the missed hotel stay (since we paid for a room with 4, and ended up with 8), they did give some credit since we missed dinner due to late arrival, but since everyone had to rush to get to an event, it was difficult to find food in a busy new city for high schoolers. The credit was not enough (and that was the credit for the missed group meal). Receiving generic responses from World Strides is disappointing.

      DO NOT USE!!!!This company takes your money and does their level best to keep it. They should be ********** daughter's 8th grade class took a trip to ************** for 4 days/3 nights. It cost $2500, which is beyond exorbitant. I would be able to take my whole family (4 of us) for a little more than half that. They provided inadequate funds for the kids to buy meals, and a few times the food was purchased for them (Subway sandwiches only which cost perhaps $7), or the vouchers they were given would only cover 1 food item and nothing else. THESE ARE GROWING CHILDREN WALKING FOR MILES!!!!! The days were extremely long, unnecessarily. They booked flights with layovers when it was completely unnecessary as direct flights were readily available (even using the SAME airline) causing them to disembark at 2:30 AM and return home at 12:30 AM. Unacceptable. They are 14 years old!!! The itinerary was not provided until 2 weeks prior to departure, so no changes could be made. It seemed deliberate as payment was due more than 6 months before. They knew how many people were going and what activities could be booked. Nearly all the sites they saw were free to the public. The baseball game they went to cost $35 per person. WHY WOULD THIS KIND OF TRIP COST SO MUCH???!!! They received very little convenience and were made to share beds. They arrived at one airport, but then stayed in a hotel at another airport, which was much further away from the sites. THAT MAKES NO SENSE (unless there is a financial incentive to do so)!!Never, never, never, never again would I allow any of my children to use this company.I don't want any *** responses from the owner nor do I want an apology. I am more than aware I will NOT receive any refund. I want NO ONE to ever use this company. That is how things change.

      Numerous problems with payment site. Lack of communication with our trip leaders cause of numerous unnecessary problems and headaches. Schedule left us sometimes rushed and other times with major time to fill with high school kids. French Quarter Festival a terrible time to schedule this.

      My daughter received a letter that she was accepted into their medical program for high schoolers. The letter also had an assigned student ID for her and the deadline to sign up was three weeks away. I called on a Thursday for information and on Tuesday i contacted them to enroll her but the class was full and she couldnt get in. They shouldnt tell students theyre accepted if they wont allow them into the program.

      As a teacher, this is my second time working with Worldstrides. The first time was wonderful. No complaints at all. This second time has been a hassle beyond compare. The largest part of the problem is that their agents promise so much and basically ignore concerns. It's basically "Everything's going to work out. Don't worry! You'll see!" And then when it doesn't, they make claims that they were never informed. So, we had a scheduled departure in June. But as early as December, I saw problems and I communicated those problems quickly. But the agent never listened. We proceeded thinking we would join other schools on this trip. It wasn't until the last minute they decided to tell us the original plans were affected because of cancellations and they wanted to change dates or charge us more money to keep the original plans. We accepted the additional charges, but they went further. Due to changes we lost the free place, and I paid for it only to come back to find they added an additional $2,000 charge to the account without saying a word to me. All of this could have been avoided had the agent listened to my concerns in the first place. Back in December, we were even willing to postpone the trip for another year. But we were told we would have to start a new trip, which would have cost a thousand more. But NOW that was different. They now proposed postponing it, but at this late date that was impossible. This organization has far more flexibility than it's willing to allow. We are still going on our trip despite all of this. It's either we do or we lose everything. If you're planning a trip with them, go in with eyes wide opened otherwise you can lose a lot of money. Make them write down any promises and don't just assume they're taking care of you. For instance, one student replaced her brother, and was supposed to get a $200 replacement discount. Didn't happen! Make them write down every promise because the agent who promised the discount wouldn't back it up.

      I signed my granddaughter up for a school trip that was cancelled later by the school due to insufficient attendance for the trip and never received my deposit back - $400 down the drain. Trying to communicate with them is very difficult as nobody will take responsibility for anything. The education community should not work with this company and parents should question it's use!

      My son's recent 4-day Worldstride Grand Canyon trip ($1700) was deeply ****************** Issues:Dinners were so poor most kids skipped meals despite being exhausted from hiking Wednesday's spaghetti made my son vomit and caused stomach pain Many children became ill after eating Accommodation Problems:Promised Marriott properties, but stayed at 2-star Quality Inn and Best Western motels Raised safety, security and comfort concerns for parents Overwhelming Schedule:5 national parks in 4 days 4-6 hours daily on buses between *****, ****, and Arizona Intense hiking, climbing, and cold river wading with inadequate rest time My son returned with severe cold and cough from the challenging conditions Worldstride prioritized profit over children's wellbeing. We'll choose alternative tour providers unless significant improvements are made.

      Stay away from **** with Envision by Worldstrides This entity is a money grab. Read the NY Times article as well as the reviews. Boys State and Girls State are free, as well as many other programs that are more prestigious for less money. See the honest reviews and articles below:********************************************************************* ************************** ******************************************************* *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Also note there were many reviewers who could not get their money back even when Envision canceled the program! Do your homework! Their business on BBB is conveniently not available during the enrollment time
