Subject: ***************************************** at Store #**** Dear ********************** Customer Service,I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received at your Dollar Tree location at *************************************************************** (Store #****).On my recent visit, I asked if I could go to the back of the store to retrieve a box of cookies that I could visibly see. Before I could finish my question, an African American employee abruptly cut me off, stating that there was no more and that the shipment just got here and were not going through all that stuff. Sitting next to her was the assistant manager, ****, who did nothing to assist or even acknowledge my request.I explained that I saw two boxes in plain sight and simply didnt want to enter the stock area without permission. I politely asked if one of them could go check or grab them for me. They both refused, without even attempting to look or offer help. The interaction was dismissive and rude, especially as they were sitting in an open office discussing personal matters rather than assisting a paying customer.I am a frequent shopper and business owner who spends a considerable amount at this location. However, after this experience, I will no longer be bringing my business to store #****.For reference, my authorization/trace number is 509316/026341.I hope this matter is addressed properly. Good customer service is essential, especially in locations where community members shop regularly.*******.

Time and time and time again stores have refused to honor/follow Dollar Tree's return policy clearly posted on the Dollar Tree website. "No refund (w/receipt), only exchange" WRONG. "No return/exchange of unopened, unused body spray/wipes" WRONG. "No exchange without receipt" WRONG. Does corporate care? NO. I care though. I care that a company the size of Dollar Tree doesn't insist that ALL of their stores abide by THEIR OWN POLICIES. I've considered consulting an attorney. Sometimes it's really all about principles.

On 05/23/2025, my son was in Dollar Tree in Hazard KY. Luke suffers from Severe nonverbal autism, sensory processing disorder, and intellectual disabilities. He threw up in their store and they refused to clean up after him. Even asked us to clean it up ourselves because they thought they done it intentionally. Sensory processing disorder can often cause things like this to happen. After we tried to explain that Luke did not mean to do this they were upset and wanted us to leave the store. They offered no medical help and was asked to leave the business due to his condition. They refused to give us the corporate number and would just get upset and walk away from us like they were still upset despite his disability. Luke has severe intellectual delays, and he had no ability to let anyone know he was going to throw up in advance. All the employees were worried about was who going to clean up after the disabled child who had thrown up in their floor. and the treatment we received after was unacceptable.

Dollar Tree on Route 38 in Mount Laurel, NJ.
I placed an order earlier in the week for balloons based on their selections shown. I went to pick up said order and they said they didn't have the ones available nor did it seem like it was even ordered. They made no efforts to rectify the situation. I changed my order based on what they did have available, but had also requested a number balloon, which they told me at pick up they didn't have either. They were so rude to me when I asked if I could purchase the one number balloon that was on display since they said they did not have it in stock. The manager, Nancy, was the nastiest of the three working at the time. She wasn't helpful and she was just rude. To have someone roll their eyes at their cashier when I'm trying to figure out a solution less than 24 hours for an event that I placed the order several days prior and received confirmation I could pick it up later in the week and blatantly ignore me is just awful. I've never been treated so awfully by a business or a person. Why are they displaying options that are not available? This is false advertising and a waste of a customer's time.

I had a terrible experience with an employee at Dollar Tree today. This employee approached me asking me what I did with the candy I had in my hands; it was 7 big packs of Christmas candy that I changed my mind about, and I put it back on the shelf. I told her I put it back and she said where? Where is it? What did you do with it? She did not believe me that I put it back. Thankfully there was another employee in the candy isle when I changed my mind and put back everything where I got it from. I walked her over to her co-worker to verify that I had placed it back on the shelves. At this point she continued to accuse me of stealing the candy. She then followed me around telling me loudly that I was also in the store yesterday stealing. She said and i quote " I was in there yesterday and the day before loading my pockets up." I was at work. I tried to explain to her that it was not me and what she was doing was wrong, but she insisted that it was me, I was lying, and I was a thief. Not only was this humiliating and embarrassing but at this point I was getting mad. I told her to check my pockets and to call the police the manager at this point told me I needed to stop cussing or leave. I was able to talk to the manager to the point where she let me buy the one item I had gone in there for. I have never in my life been so embarrassed. And still while I am trying to talk to the manager the employee is steadily accusing me of stealing. Then she said something about rewinding the camera footage from yesterday to prove it was me, I told her yes please do that so you can see how wrong you are. I cannot believe this happened today. That whole situation should never have happened. Waiting to hear back from someone in HR.

I like going into Dollar tree despite the fact that it is usually a mess, but of course the prices are great for certain things. However I will never ever order from them again, and I will tell everyone I can not to do so. I purchased a liquid dish detergent I like but it is usually out of stock in my local store. I placed the order. For one thing it took 3 weeks to get it. When I did get it I was in shock. The spray bottle items came inside a plastic bag inside a box. The bag contained 10, not the dozen I paid for. There was soap everywhere because every single top was not closed properly. They were simply thrown in the bag every which way. They were not even placed evenly and wrapped where they couldn't move around. When I called customer service that began a weeks worth of the third degree. This is all over **** They did every single thing in their power to dissuade me and hope I would just say forget it and hang up, but I refuse to do that. I kept telling them this was absurd to expect a customer to be okay with this and I want my money back. Eventually after I threatened to go on social media, better Business bureau, and every other place I can think of to tell them of this story, I got a call back from the customer service rep who said they have decided to return my money. Can you imagine? Putting someone through this when it was such a horrible delivery from start to finish, and a horrible customer service experience. I cannot believe what they put me through. They wanted pictures! Which I did send them but I said to them, so you want pictures of 10 empty bottles? Because that's what's here. The bottles were not damaged they just were all loose to the point where two were completely empty. If I could give a minus star I would. Awful experience. And they don't care about their customers. Even their employees complain and their stores are a messbaand dirty. They should be ashamed to treat a customer this way.

*** would not process the legitimate complaint so here is a review.
Store# **** **** ***** ***** ******* ***** Apex, NC 27502. I went to purchase balloons for my mother's bday, with my minor son who has autism on 10/31/2024. Upon entering, there were very little customers seen in the front, and I did not see any staff, so we waited patiently near the balloons. A black male staff approached the balloon area without greeting, squeezed into the small space without an excuse me and asked if I needed balloons. When I requested a pink heart balloon like the one that was already inflated and hanging from the ceiling, he feigned ignorance and redirected me to a wall directory. I realized my attention was intentionally being redirected. His demeanor indicated he wasn't vying for customer service employee of the year, mumbling under his breath at length as I added more balloons to my order. When I asked the cashier about weights for the balloons, she ignored me and later elevated her voice. To further antagonise as I was checking out at a different register she stated "I'm good now, if you need more help getting balloons". Brittany the antagonist also followed me out of the store. I'm aware this was her way to try to lure me into an argument.
My original complaint included that I wanted a refund, Fire the individuals. Pull up the surveillance. I realized she wanted me to come down to her level and miserable people do small things. I still gave no pushback and ignored her. I waved to the camera on my way out so I am easily identified when pulling up surveillance. Please investigate and fire all individuals involved. I was informed the cashier's name is Britany* *** originally informed me that they do not process complaints asking for refunds. I am aware this is incorrect and designed to deceive.
