I have never been so frustrating in my life. This company is taking advantage of ppl hurting & trying to connect with their loved ones. Their App. is junk. I have been on the phone with their ***************************** at least 10 times in the last 2 months. I plan on complaining to the ******************** and the State's US Senators.

Lets just start off by saying that no where did they state or advertise that a charge of ***** was going to be charged by creating an account, and then when I contact them and tell them I would like a refund and to close the account, They repeatedly avoid giving the refund then try to only give me 30 dollars of it. extremely unprofessional.

I have changed my phone number with GTL last year and I still have a $57.34 credit on my old phone account, I have called these people on multiple occasions requesting my money be returned to me and this has been since October 2024, and I have yet to see my refund, at first they claimed that I would receive 2 checks In the amount of $20 dollars and it will **** *-10 weeks to receive it and the remainder $11 dollars is supposed to be placed back on my GreenDot card and I haven't received anything from them, when I go on Connect Network, my money is still on that phone number which should have been removed from my account by now but it hasn't, I don't know how the ************* allow these types of businesses to come in and use and abuse the American Citizens, I would like my money returned to my account. There's no star rating for this business

Absolutely no stars, the unprofessionalism and lack of humanity of their ***resentatives is INHUMANE. They speak to their customers like children and have no respect for what the families of these inmates go through on a daily basis nor the inmates. If you call to get help on an issue with the Gettingout app or etc. to the number ending in 0115 customer service number they answer the phones with such attitude and arrogance. They are quick to kick you off the phone and advise they are busy with too many callers and "are you done". Before you can answer the *** they hang up in your face. How do you hire unprofessional, biased and rude people in a profession that's sole mission is compassion and connecting families and inmates with their loved ones. You should be ******* as a company to have such heartless workers ***resenting you. When I asked for a supervisor the worker hung up in my face today.

ViaPath: Criminals extorting your loved ones. A Monopoly on the prison telecom system which needs to be regulated. ViaPath thinks it's ethical to charge 16/Minute and to place a watermark over calls (which the consumer is charged for); ViaPath thinks is is acceptable to enact a $3 fee to "establish an account" each time the consumer desires a simple reload. ViaPath's Video Chat app (Go Visit) is a downright SCAM, stealing funds from users and refusing to work correctly with no obvious support (it doesn't work either). The premium which this company extorts from it's users commands premium service, but all I have ever received from ViaPath is service equatable to criminals and scammers.

I've complained for MONTHS about numerous bugs on your website. Right now it's saying I have zero credits. Minutes ago I had credits scattered across several state prisons.
New, unread messages aren't bolded and since messages don't always come through instantaneously, I can't assume that "15 new messages" are the most recent 15. I have to click through tens of messages to locate the unread ones. This issue doesn't appear in the app. Even the problems aren't consistent!
It says "exceeded maximum contacts." I deleted 30-40. Still getting the same message.
"EXPIRED WEB TOKEN" next to an inmate name apparently means "blocked by staff." But you would never know that.
I can go on and on. Deb A******* should be embarassed to put her name as CEO to this company. The Facebook reviews alone are humiliating.

GTL charges incarcerated persons exorbitantly high prices for the use of their technology. GTL "Inspire" Tablets are provided free of charge but the cost for streaming video and audio content including games, movies and music is an exorbitant $6 for 10 minutes. This is outrageous given the average market value of said services. IPs are being charged for faulty technology which is the case of streaming programs on the ******** app. GTL levies a charge in advance for streaming a program on Pluto but drops the connection shortly after the 1st commercial. IPs are not reimbursed for this tech glitch despite this being a long standing standing problem. Another example of exploitation is that Viapath, the messaging technology also owned by Global Tel Link) charges $.25 for a 1000 character message. Until very recently it was $.25 for a 1500 character message. No notification of the change, no upgrade in service, just an increase on cost. Global Tel Link has a sweetheart revenue sharing contract with the ********************************** such that a percentage of profit made from GTL services is returned to the ***************** in the form of a commission. This is a unholy alliance between private industry and state government that MUST be terminated.

Poor customer service. They say they are here to help you stay connected to your LO and thats not true. They will argue with you and say you are a liar. The supervisor I was talking to even hung up on me when I was trying to explain the situation. They didnt want to help look into my account and blamed everything on my bank. Even after I called my bank and they said they took the funds out and then refunded them.

I have overnighted a couple of money orders that have never been added to my inmate trust fund. It shows they have been cashed by someone in the company. I have called and reported this issue and pretty much was told oh well your luck!!!! Terrible ***************** People hang up on you and no one has a clue what is going on. I have reached out several times for a supervisor or management and I am told they will tell you the same thing.!!!If you have to deal with this company, get someone to sign for your mail. Someone or the company is stealing trust funds!!!!
