I purchased a 2021 VW ***** at ****** Sacramento on May, 2021. I did a lease option and have never missed a payment. We were hit by another driver on Jan 12, 2023. I filed the insurance claim with ***** (my insurance as I didn't have the drivers information at the time.) My vehicle was towed to ***** Collison in Citrus Heights, CA.. The estimated repairs were for 22 days. The interior fabric is on backorder from VW with no intended ship date. Per ***** collison, VW has reported that the fabric is supplied from a 3rd party that has essentially closed down. VW will not list the fabric as "obsolete" leaving the garage waiting for the product and unable to utilize anything else in regards to ** law when repairing vehicles to original. ***** VW, ***** Collison, and myself have been working to get support from VW with no assistance. As a last result i submitted a claim for a buy back due to the excessive long wait for parts and was denied. My vehicle that i have been paying on is still sitting in the repair shop for 10 months now. We need a solution.Initial Complaint

I purchased a new 2023 VolksWagon **** in May 2023 ************************* Herndon Va. I had a minor damage to the vehicle due to road hazard. I needed repair. I took the vehicle to ******* Volkswagen in Manassas Virginia. It needed two parts. I was told the parts are not available and there is no ETA. I was told it could be six months or more. I talked to the VolksWagon Group USA but they were no help. I believe the manufacturer should be responsible for the availability of replacement parts. They are busy in selling new cars but don't supply the parts. I want my car fixed in a reasonable time.Initial Complaint

I have purchased a vehicle from Volkswagen in January 2022. The vehicle has been in repair for a total of 3 months due to recalls or failures covered under warranty since then. It is currently under repair, and no ETA has been given as to when repairs will be completed, but it is not expected to be for another two months or more.My local dealer has provided me with a loaner vehicle.Initial Complaint

Volkswagen sells vehicles that must be taken to service centers for issues or you break warranty and terms, however even when serious issues (electrical/breaking) occur, the service centers are unable to see you for weeks at a time. I was told that they can't even diagnose my vehicle for at least two weeks. I asked for a rental but the service center said not until they "diagnose" my car (more than what the in-car computer is telling me). Additionally, I have twice before taken my car in to have my oil looked at because it is using oil at a faster rate than it should be. I was told that 1 quart/1200 miles is normal. Since mile 25,500 I have had to add an additional 8.5 quarts of oil (I just hit 30,000 miles). VW is not taking the issues with my car seriously and are attempting to wait until I am out of the warranty period so that they do not have to fix the issues.Initial Complaint

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc - Extended Warranty Scam I am requesting your assistance with resolving an issue I am having with Audi of America. On April 20, 2019 I purchased a 3 year lease for a brand new Audi ** from Audi *** ******** formally know as ******* Audi. On January 24, 2023 I was advised by Audi ***** Finance Director, ****** *** that my factor warranty was schedule to expire on April 20, 2023. *** *** provided me with information and a brochure for the Audi Pure Protection Plan. Six months later, on September 8, 2023, I took my vehicle to get serviced at Audi *** ******** I advised ******** that she can make the necessary repairs because I recently purchased an extended Audi Pure Protection warranty. A few minutes later ******** informed me that she was unable to repair the control arm on my vehicle because my extended warranty was expired. ******** showed me my Audi Pure Protection service contract and pointed out the Manufacture’s Original In Service Date listed on the contract with a date of April 20, 2019.She stated that according to the contract because of the Manufacture’s Original In Service date that the contract was back dated. The coverage for the warranty started April 20, 2019 and expired on April 20, 2023, instead of when I initially purchased the warranty on March 22, 2023. This meant that I spent over $3000 on an extended warranty that was only active for less than a month, in which I still had the original factor warranty that came with my vehicle. I went home and contacted Audi Financial Services and requested to speak to a manager. The manager (****) began to take down my information. **** stated that **** ********** ******** was listed as the seller of the Audi Pure Protection Plan on my contract. **** informed me that he contacted **** ******* the manager at ** ** ********** ******** and **** stated to **** that they are a third party vendor and that there was nothing that he could do.Initial Complaint

I took my vehicle to ********* Volkswagen on 9-7-2022 for a check engine. Dealer said that it was the adblue tank and was under warranty and that they had to get the part from another. Later that day the service advisor called and said that the part was already taken by another dealer and that the part was on back order with no date. Approximately 3weeks later the service advisor called me and told me that the part had an ETA of 5-19-2023 due to Covid. I contacted the service advisor on 5-10-2023 to see if the 5-19-2023 ETA was still good. They said no and they didn’t have a new ETA. I contacted the parts manager on 5-12-2023 to see if he had a new ETA. He told me the new ETA was now 8-1-2023. On or about 5-18-2023 I filed a complaint with Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA) case #******** to fix or buyback my vehicle. On or about 7-16-2023 I received an email from VWGoA customer care stating that they would not buy back my vehicle but offered $2000.00 for my troubles until car is fixed. I declined their offer. I filed a Washington Attorney General complaint, case #******, on or about 7-16-2023. On 8-2-2023 (VWGoA) offered to buy back my vehicle for $12225.00. I declined as that offer was$4000.00 less than it would cost me to purchase the same make and model with about the same mileage from the dealer in Olympia, WA. VWGoA said fine that they would notify the Attorney General to close the case as I declined their offer. I contacted ********* Volkswagen on 8-3-2023 to see if there was a new ETA and they said that they didn’t have a new ETA for the part and in fact the ETA is 01-01-0001. I contact them on a bi-weekly basis and the ETA still shows 01-01-0001. I contacted VWGoA customer care on 10-17-2023 and they said that there was nothing they could do about the ETA of the part and was told to keep in contact with ********* Volkswagen as they would have more info on the part than them.Initial Complaint

I spoke with AudiConnect representatives over the phone on Thursday, October 12 about connect the services. The services wouldnt connect and app would always show error message. I received a text message to stop by nearest Audi dealer for identity confirmation. Once I arrived on Friday, October 13, 2023, I was told by four different Audi employees(2 managers) that my 2017 Audi ** Competition ********* ******* was not compatible for service. The program had been updated for newer model cars. I then phoned AudiConnect ************** and spoke with a representative to decline services because I was at dealer and they're stating that services aren't compatible which is why I the representative was have a hard time trying to connect services. I'm in Tennessee. **** and 3G/5G service is horrible. The representative never stated that services werent compatible even after I gave him the VIN number, year/make/model of my car. I spoke w ****** on Monday, October 16, 2023 and he told him that they fraudulently charged my card for $200 for svc that doesn't work with my car or compatible with my car. He stated he would have a manager to call me back. He noticed where I had three open tickets about a refund and someone would get back with me. AudiConnect is running an entire scam on innocent people. If I’m told while at dealership on Friday that service isn't compatible with my vehicle-why would I pay $200 for an entire year????? And pay on Friday, October 13, 2023? Reflecting on my bank statement. Please do not buy service. Do not entertain the idea of service.Business Response

I have had issues with my car and have taken it into our Volkswagen dealership for repairs here in Bozeman, Montana several times, but it the issue was never resolved although I was charged for the 'fix' every time. During this time I had an extended warranty. I had three appointments from 11/22 to 03/23 in which the service team acknowledged an oil issue, attempted to fix it and failed. Now, due to mileage, I no longer have that extended warranty and my car is no better than it was when I first took it in. Apparently, the ******* dealership had reached out to Volkswagen to ask for compensation to cover the cost of replacing the engine. I have called several times within the past year and always get the same answer, that they haven't heard back from the powers that be at VW and are waiting for them to give them a yes or a no. I never heard back. The appointment details are as follows. On 11/21/22 I took the car in for regular maintenance. It was noted that my car had no oil even though I had an oil change done in June of that year. They acknowledged there was a leak, but told me to keep driving the car until something 'really bad happens.' Total $714.20.On 11/23/22 my car started making unusual noises and my EPC light was flashing and sputtering. I figured this was enough of a 'really bad thing.' I took the car in again. They claimed the oil screen was loose inside the motor and that was the issue. Total $4933.73. On 02/22/23 same thing. The car had not been fixed. In fact, nothing was fixed. The same lights came on, the same noise came from the exhaust. I took the car back in. Total $3572.45. Final notes on the last service was that vehicle ran normal. Unfortunately it did not and I took it in one last time after the lights went off again. I am told now that I need a new engine. I made responsible choices in acquiring that extended warranty and also my car is a 2017 ****** VIN ***************** with only 78,329 miles on it as of today.Initial Complaint

I took my car to Audi of *********** for a second opinion ********** Audi on 5/23/23. ****** documented no major issues. Audi still has my car with no resolution and without providing a loaner. My car went in for possible carbonation issue as diagnosed by ****** and months later Audi ***** advises they drove my car 600 miles over my warranty and my motor is blown. My service guy went on vacation and it does not seem he communicated that my car was not to be driven . Audi has in their records that my car was towed there to remain in warranty and not to drive over my warranty. Audi's stand-in service guy accidently told *********** car insurance that my car had a bad leak and they don't know where it's coming come from and it is not operational. It seems he assumed he was talking to the warranty company because not myself nor *********** knew the car was leaking oil as it was not leaking oil on arrival. I called after *********** informed and they denied conversation. I advised that ***********'s calls are recorded and then they admitted my car is not operational and leaking oil and had been driven 600 miles while my service guy was on vacation. It took multiple calls to even reach my service guy as there was very little follow up while they had my car. ******* delivered this news and begin blaming the warranty company for given false authorization that he stated he has via email. So now my car is past mileage for a 3rd party warranty and requiring major repairs and they are pointing fingers at each other . I had to bum rides for work and school, rent cars until I could get the money to finally put my 99 ***** back together. This has been a nightmare. I am not asking them for a new car but I am asking for an vehicle that can get a warranty with a full diagnostic run. Please help!
