I have a VW Passat 2013. It has a issue under *************** warranty. I sent the car to dealership for repair on 02/27/2025. They are not able to fix it as parts are back-order. So I initiated a buy-back program with ** on 03/31 /2025, submitted all documents that day. (VW USA casenumber ********). The auto response indicates roughly it would be solved in 30 days. However, now it is more than 40 days, and there were zero responses. I called 4 times, always directed to voicemail (which promised to get back to me in next business day) but no response at all. This is costing me mental stress(not sure how long this can be resolved) and also monetary cost (loss of use and still paying insurance) Thus, I would like to file this complain and request VW to reach back to me and solve the buyback issue as soon as possible (note this is already beyond the promised 30 day limit)Initial Complaint

So I purchased a 25 VW Jetta GLI from Auffenberg VW in Ofallon IL at the end of December 2024. Since I have had so many issues with my car. Remote start not working via app or fob (still happening but intermittent)The vehicle random unlocks itself The emergency assist turns itself off (whenever there is slight frost on the car) When changing accent lighting interior colors I noticed going from blue to purple there is no change. The purple doesnt exist. It does on the instrument cluster but not the lighting. Some of these issues have stopped or assuming due to it not being as cold out. I took it into the local dealership recently 4-11-25 to be looked at for the remote start not working. They didnt want to do anything and told me to come pick it up til I told them Im going lemon law. They then finally did something about it and contacted ** who told them to reset the body control module. After picking up the car the issue went away for 3 weeks. I dropped it off yesterday 5-5-25 and after 24 hours did not hear back at all. I contacted today to be told they did contact me saying the vehicle was ready via text. (1st lie). They told that they couldnt find anything wrong with the remote start or the purple lighting and that its ready for pick up (lie 2). They then told me that they checked into the car and its showing attempted programming of the *** and TCM! Was told that tuning the car would cause problems they cant fix. After confronting them about this they then told me that no attempts to program the *** or *** were ever made. (Lie 3). Im getting very tired of having a brand new car with these electrical issues and nothing getting done. Im getting ignored, my time wasted and lied to blatantly to my face over text (so I can have the proof). They arent even trying to fix these problems. I will have no other choice then to go lemon law route and get a lawyer if this persists. I was told if it happens again that I have to do something about it on my own.Initial Complaint

I leased a 2024 **** eTron GT RS ion April 2024. Since that day, the car has spent about 4 months in the service department within three different service appointments. After speaking to the dealer, they sent me to speak to ********************* and they just emailed suggesting you use BBB Auto Line for a resolution. While speaking to *********************, they asked me for options to avoid the buyback of the car and I offered them the following one:Option A I could not find ay other **** that appealed us to trade for another vehicle When I did the Lease, I paid $5,000 (instead of the customary $3,000) and monthly lease payments of $1,899.27 I could consider leasing the car for another 12months (until 04/08/2026) and you give credit me back the four months of lease payments I did while the car has been sitting in the service departments (4*$1,899.27) and half of the initial $5,000 I paid at the beginning of the lease.Option B Continue with the Buyback reuqest.Initial Complaint

I am filing this complaint against Volkswagen Group of America 1950 Opportunity Way Reston, ** ***** failure to provide updates or offer for my defective vehicle, exceeding their stated 60- and 90-day processing. I have fulfilled all their requirements, submitted requested work orders, yet they continue to delay without resolution.2024 Volkswagen Jetta sport VIN: ***************** Purchase Date: March 03/14/2024 Dealership: Brooklyn Volkswagen, ********, ** new vehicle developed issues with the Carnet Module 3 times, Brake pad failure, other issues (19) ECM codes appeared, issues with over filled oil, they attempted to fix the oil level there was a work order that shows where it says oil level has a check **** where it says require further attention rendering it unreliable. January 17th 2025 I initiated a buyback request with Volkswagen due to the vehicles defects. I was informed a decision would be provided within 60 days. I contacted Volkswagen they extended the timeline to 90 days. During recent calls on April 2025 Volkswagen claimed they were still waiting for work orders from Brooklyn Volkswagen. May 1st, 2025, over 90 days have passed and I have received no offer, updates, or resolution. Volkswagens repeated delays and lack of communication have caused significant inconvenience, I am left with a defective vehicle I have attached documents Proof of submission of requested work orders to Volkswagen.I request that Volkswagen promptly process my buyback request and provide a fair offer in accordance with their policies. Alternatively, I request a full refund of my down payment and the value of my trade in vehicle which is a total of total $5500 for the undue delay seeing that it is a brand new car and inconvenience caused. I have attempted to resolve this directly with Volkswagen and Brooklyn Volkswagen, but their lack of action has necessitated this complaint. I am prepared to participate in BBB AUTO LINEs arbitration process if needed.Initial Complaint

Vehicle has had major squeaking / grinding of brakes since purchased, worse when cold / damp. The condition is so loud that people standing by will notice, it also means that we are cautious about breaking & so driving unsafe. We have mentioned to ** service many times & been told to clean the brakes by driving at speed & hard breaking, this only helps a little & is temporary. ** service changed the break pads for us last year as good will which did help but has not resolved the issue. Recently, since then, we have also experienced severe juddering when braking which is unsafe & caused by rotor warping, this has resulted in us now paying to have the rear rotors and pads changed today 4/28/25 when the car has only done ****** miles. We have heard that this is a known issue for Atlas Cross sport vehicles & some other customers have opened lawsuits against **Initial Complaint

Over the year and four months I have had to continuously go to two dealerships about issues with my new 2024 Crossport atlas. From the recalls to miscellaneous issues coming about, the dealership (Prestige Volkswagen) has not been able to resolve my main concern which is glitching that occurs in my screen (radio console) at random points. Since that, there has been other issues like my parking, braking and windshield wipers sensors going off automatically without any know cause. The dealership is not able to determine the case for the braking and parking sensors coming on. They have replaced my overhead console stating that will fix the screen glitching, it has not. Furthmore the side seat paneling unhinged itself. This car qualifies as a lemon due to the number of attempts that have been made to repair it, yet the dealership will not buy the vehicle back. It has caused unnecessary hardship taking time out of my work schedule and undue stress. When having a new car, no owner should have to continue to deal with problems of a new vehicle and still be expected to pay. Volkswagen group of America is not abiding by the Florida lemon law after many attempts of repairs. This issue should be taken as a matter in their hands when all supporting documentation has been provided to reflect the car is indeed a lemon.Initial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle from ********** Volkswagen in July 2024, paying approximately $5,000, which covered the lease payment, down payment, registration, and other associated fees. Unfortunately, the dealership has failed to send the necessary registration documents to the ***. Consequently, I have been making monthly payments of $360 for a car that remains undriveable due to the lack of registration.Despite reaching out to both ** Credit and ** Corporate, I have been informed that they are unable to assist. Given that the dealership is no longer in operation, I am requesting that ** Corporate, as the overseeing entity, either refunds all my lease payments or buys out my vehicle, as I am unable to utilize it.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Initial Complaint

I have a 2017 VW Golf Alltrack that I love. And this is one in a long line of 8 VWs we've owned as a family. That being said, I've had it with ** over $815.I bought the Alltrack new in 2018 - got the extended warranty - and over the years. experienced an issue that once the start button was pressed. the electrics would all turn on, I could put the car in gear, but it never tried to fire. I could press the start button again to turn the car 'off' and this cycle would repeat itself for about an hour. making the car undrivable at work, at home, in the parking lot etc.The issue was so infrequent, that I chalked it up to some oddity. Finally in '22, the car did it a few times in a row, over the course of a month. Got it into dealer, it worked fine for them, they charged me a fee, and sent me on my way. Followed up the next time with having it towed in (on my $) and of course it started fine for them. They 'diagnosed' it and replaced the start solonoids.Did it again a few months back, and the kind folks on VWVortex and Reddit recommended a new start button. Got that done.Did it again 2 weeks ago and I reached out to **** and they asked to have me take it in and they would look into it.issue popped up at dealer, ** recommended a steering wheel column starter to be replaced, and just picked it up.But, warranty expired last year, and they are saying that extended warranty won't cover anything. even though it has been an issue for life of car, with first 'attempt' to diagnose and fix it 4 years into my ownership with still 2 years of extended warranty coverage. So, instead of taking an $815 hit from their $12b-$15b annual profit to cover this for me, they said 'sorry - warranty is over, nothing we will do.'So - they've lost a future customer, an evangelist and a believer in the value of an extended warranty. Just wanted to vent here, and hope someone won't have to deal with what I am (no longer) going to deal with.
