I have been a student at Strayer University since 2021. I am currently about 2 quarters away from graduating with my bachelor's in criminal justice. I recently was notified that I was being expelled immediately accusing me of submitting a fraudulent temporary ID card for identity verification in which I absolutely did not do and do not know what they are referencing in any way. When I ask the assistant dean for an explanation she stated the information was confidential and refused go tell me anything that explained why this was being said and told me to send an appeal in for review. When ask how do I know how to defend the accusation if I have no ideal what they are referring to about the ID. The response I received several times was "is this your appeal". I then did the best I could to gather anything that I could defend this with getting a print out from the DDS in Alabama along with a letter of explanation as to changes on my identification. It took all of 2 hours for the appeal to be denied again with no interaction other than it was denied. There was a disciplinary hearing held without me or me having knowledge of until after the decision to expel me was made as well as an appeal review or hearing that was denied saying no information was submitted that constituted an appeal hearing to be set. This school has no reported conduct violations or academic counseling on file for me. I have an impeccable record to date making either the presidents or deans list every quarter in my time attending the school. I was scheduled to have my 4 year degree completed in less than 3 years. They now have waited until the day after cut off to drop classes to expel me which means my financial aid will not pay out and i will be responsible for paying out of pocket for the classes in which I was enrolled and will be made to do so before my transcripts will be sent to a new school. I also have ask several times where to file a complaint and was told there is not a higher dept.

I was lied to and mislead by the recruiter that I would be in a associates program to complete 9 months then later to find out I'm in a bachelor's program to do 2 1/2 yrs This at the time affected me emotionally because I really wanted my degree within the 9 month period so that I could get a better paying job to take care of my family.

Strayer University has held up my Financial Aid. I am a Law Student who relays on my financial aid solely to support myself. All my expenses for school have been paid to my account. Strayer holds disbursements even when their paid before school starts. This puts myself and other students in binds with credit beaurus and it's unfair. I need my disbursement now

I enrolled in classes with strayer university and did not like the program. I called the school and asked to withdrawal and stopped attending classes. My financial aid was returned and my account should be closed due to my with-drawling. I did not hear anything from strayer for 2 years, until I started receiving text messages saying my account was past due and about to go to collections. I called a was told i owed over 2k for classes that i withdrew from and never attended. I asked why was i not informed and the agent stated they were sending all correspondence to my Strayer student email address, which I did not have access to, as I was no longer Strayer student, therefore, I was never notified of this balance, and did not have the appropriate time to respond. I then received high-pressure messages and phone calls from Strayer representatives saying that they could reduce the balance by over 50% if I would agree to pay them immediately. I did not agree with the balance, as I withdrew from the classes and should not have a balance at all. I requested additional supporting information and detailed writing of their debt collection policies, which I have never received. I then requested a copy of all documentation that I have submitted to Strayer, including the application in which I signed and agreed to this policy, which they never have provided. I read the fine print of the settlement agreement that I was offered. Within the settlement agreement, it stated that if I did not pay the balance within the allotted timeframe, I would be subject to legal fees and other penalties. I felt extremely pressured and uncomfortable, and I was reaching out and contacting Strayer requesting more information, and my questions were not being answered. I was being pushed around, and then they sent my account to collections without resolving the issue with me directly. I would like for strayer to remove the erroneous charges from my account and correct my credit report.

Strayer University will not release federal **** grant funds. I have called strayer months ago right after I was registered for classes, then shortly after decided that Strayer wasn't a school I wanted to go to. I was able to drop classes much before term started and I was also advised by the financial aid department that no financial aid was scheduled for disbursements and I would have no issues for future enrollment in another school. Well I did, and I still do. After calling Strayer they advised to write a letter and fax or email stating to cancel all FAFSA and **** grants in the letter and also advise for all future enrollment. I did this. Then I was sent a document through ******** to sign and return those exact statements. After they advised that it was taken care of I recently was notified a 3rd time from my current college advising that they are not releasing the funds making this an issue for school beginning Jan. 15th. I have called and been on hold for quite some time. I should not have ANY funds paid to Strayer because I never started classes and I dropped according to their policies so I would not be charged. I need them to release the funds immediately I'm tired of the games.

I recently within the last 2 weeks was advised I would be expelled from Strayer because for 2 courses I reached out to a tutoring company for help on some lab assignments. One course had been close to over 3-4 months ago. I was in a current course which I was withdrawn from with a failing grade I saw on my transcript. I was told I gave my user name and password to them and they did my work for me. I did give my user name and password with my consent which I didn't know I couldn't do to get the help. Then on screen share I was helped to resolve the work. I did not know I would be expelled for that or I would not have done that. It wasn't clear to me anywhere I could not do that. I had an A in every course thus far but got an F in two courses because of getting the lab help. I had not had any other issue at the University for anything. I was surprised I wasn't given probation or a lesser charge. I tried to appeal and wrote a letter. I was advised my letter wasn't a sufficient appeal letter based on what happened. I wanted to voice my concern and unhappiness about the situation because I take my courses very seriously.

I am a student at Strayer University currently enrolled in the Fall semester. I have completed 90% of the degree program and expecting to graduate March 2024. I am taking 9 credits each term and for this term they changed from the blackboard Canvas. This took many for a loop including myself. During the month of November, I was ill and fell behind for two weeks. A coach called and asked if I could take care of the past due assignments, which I did take care of. I was all caught up and working on an assignment for Week 9, Sunday 03-Dec-2023 when my school computer crashed. I reach out to Strayer tech service who was unable to help but referred me to another service for assistance. I wasn't able to speak to a rep so I decided to wait until 04-Dec-2023 Monday to call again. Well, what I received from Strayer University that morning is: You HAVE BEEN DROPPED FROM YOUR CLASS DUE TO ATTENDANCE. The system says I missed 4 consecutive weeks which their system automatically drops you. That's not true, I have not missed 4 consecutive weeks and I have attended class. When I try to gather information on what constitutes attendance, their policy is not clear and changes according to what documentation and who you speak with. They dropped me from the class the last week of term with an A average in the class. Those I spoke with ***** ******* (success coach) and *** **** (Associate Manager) who didn't seem to care a bit. They said that the system dropped me and there is nothing that can be done about it. Please someone help with this situation. This school is a complete rip off. They have been ripping students off for years and nothing is done about it. They took the Department of Education money and refuse to give it back or reinstate the class. I HATE THIS SCHOOL. I am so close to graduating and it's like the school doesn't want students to graduate, just stay in school receive government funds so the big wigs can line their pockets. I want my money back!!!!

So I was to start Strayer at the beginning of this semester, which I received the laptop in the mail and started my first class everything went fine going into the next week which would be week 2 I had an emergency that was very serious and I had to attend to it and it was occupying most of the day besides also being a nurse and taking care of clients, I sent ******** to both teachers as well as emailing them as well as emailing the contact lady ***** that I was given, the teachers texted me and told me just keep them in the loop of things and get my work in whenever I could going into week three my uncle was found dead in the home where I provide nursing care in which was extremely hard and left me feeling broken! I reached out thru text and emails to let them know I would have to drop classes I wasn't in the right state of mind to concentrate on school work! The teachers where fine with it they understood but when I called Strayer the lady that I was directed to was extremely rude the only thing I was directed to do was go on there websites and withdrawal from classes and ahe made it very clear I would have to still pay I explained to her what was going on and I had only got to do 1 week of work she was stern and still rude so I put the tickets in like 5 weeks ago and have still not heard anything back!! Which to me is very unprofessional, they showed no sympathy in my time of hurt all they kept repeating was your gonna have to pay over and over! How unsympathetic and they should have just unenrolled me in week 2 when I expressed my concern of getting behind but no they didnt. They tell you strayer will make your dreams happen well I feel like Im in a nightmare if I knew they where gonna do this to me and be so rude and unsympathetic I would have never signed up!! By week 1 I was supposed to find out about my credits that where transferred and still I have heard nothing! I have screenshots of the texts and emails to strayer and the teachers!
