Thriveworks claimed to accept Medicare and charged my account $380.00 for two visits. Due to other reviews stating they will continue to charge your bank cars, I went to the bank to cancel my bank card, which meant I had to change my payment options on all of my accounts online. I was so distraught from the entire experience. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Took me weeks of numerous emails and phone calls. I was reimbursed in two payments in full. They didn't even bill my insurance. I wish there was a agency I could file a complaint on their billing practices.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

It’s really sad because the therapist was great and I signed up as part of my self care regimen but I had problems communicating through the portal and the fees were not well explained. My deductible was met so I mistakenly thought it was going to be covered they required a debit card on file and took money out of my account on multiple occasions for different reasons without my consent. When you call to dispute it’s an overseas call center each time e and no supervisor available. No one ever called me back and there’s nothing apparently I can do about it. So I won’t be using Thriveworks and I learned the lesson the hard way which was too bad because it was a nice concept for busy people who work.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

Hi Angie, this is the complete opposite of the experience we want anyone to have at Thriveworks. It's our goal to make sure every client has a positive experience at our practice, and the experience you've described with billing sounds really frustrating. It’s clear that we really fell short. We'd like to hear more about what happened. Would you consider reaching out to ***********************?Review fromAlyssa S

$311.74 was charged without authorization to a previous payment card which had been removed and replaced in your system well before this charge was processed.
To be clear:
The card charged is no longer on my account and does not appear on my dashboard.
I updated my payment method days or even weeks prior to this charge, and the card on file was correct at the time - CONFIRMED BY YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AT TIME OF PHONE CALL ABOUT THIS TODAY.
I have spent over an hour on the phone with representatives Chase and Art to attempt to resolve this issue.
I was told that I would need to pay another $311.74 in order to have a refund processed — which is both unacceptable and unethical.
Your representative Art claimed via email that a refund has been issued, yet was unable to provide any proof or a transaction receipt confirming that. I was then told I will not be getting a refund without another payment from another representative -- Art lied and fraudulent emailed me confirmation of such. This lack of transparency and accountability is especially concerning given that Thriveworks serves individuals seeking mental health support — a vulnerable population that deserves far better.
This situation reflects predatory and misleading practices, and I expect it to be resolved immediately.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

I would give no stars. This company dose like to tell ya your insurance didn't pay mind you for bills over a year old.they send you a receipt after they bill your card you have to put on your account in order to be seen. I was also told they would no just scan my card...their website you can't figure out to even see your bills..or to keep track of everything I was an idiot and put a credit card on file and I can only imagine how much they got me with that!! Mind you i had to stop seeing my therapist because of these very reasons which was in April had only 2 visit that weren't charged yet which would of been 15.00 each but may 22 I look at my bank statement (cause I did change the card) and seen a charge 69.57. My co-pays would not of added up so I looked on their web site there's nothing in there stating I owe them this for a visit not paid jan.3,2024 really !!! Here's the kicker I know what the other guys complaint on here is the same thing ive been going through with them...cause this is now the 2nd time they tried to play this your insurance didn't pay.mind you if I owed the still more money why when I stopped going did the finally get my 160. Back. So if your gonna work with these people because I had a hard time giving up my therapist cause I dont trust easy she was great but this company is a joke. Here's another thing they like to pull charge you for a no show appointment which is 150.thats what made me switch my cards but who knows I need to pull out my credit card stuff cause whatever they can get away with and you forget about they will not contact you and say they over charged you trust me...Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

Hi Heather, We are so sorry to read your review! We know that payments are an important topic so we work to over-communicate our fees and reiterate them many times during our initial onboarding process (by phone when scheduling, by email immediately after scheduling, in our paperwork that's reviewed with each client during their first session, and the information is featured prominently on our website). We don't want anyone to have any surprises, ever. That being said, we'd like to see if there is anything we can do to make your situation better. Would you be willing to email us at ***********************?Review fromDan-El S

That comment Thriveworks left on the bottom on my complaint. Nonsense, They are just doing that to make themselves look as if they are trying to help their victims. All they do is send you a email explaining how they used deceptive marketing to scam you. Any positives reviews that you see online about this company are fake.Review fromJessica M

Outright charged me $434 for my daughter’s appointment when my copay should have been $25. I have another daughter who goes to the same practice so I know the insurance is accepted. I also uploaded the insurance twice!!! I have reached out several times to them to get this corrected. 3 times NO RESPONSE.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

Cassie is personable and approachable. She gives me positive feedback and has stabilized my anxiety and depression. I don’t want to lose her as social security cuts are going on. I hope I can still have her continue my careThriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

I requested a therapist that accepted my insurance for the services they offered and was told I had a match in network. My insurance carrier states on their website that if a provider says I’m in their network, then they will agree to cover the charges. Simple, right? I triple-checked this with both parties. Then I get a surprise invoice well outside of my co-pay. When I contacted Thriveworks billing department, they said my insurance wasn’t active (it was) and that my end date was 3/31 (it was not), so they agreed to correct the information and refund the money. A couple of hours later, I receive 2 e-mails which contradicted one another. The last e-mail stated that the insurance I have is in fact NOT accepted and that I would be switched to self-pay. This was extremely misleading. My insurance company stated they also never received any claims from Thriveworks. It is my responsibility to make sure services are covered, which I did to the very best of my ability, but in the end, Thriveworks did not follow through. This also contributed to a decline in my mental health which is the opposite of what I needed at this time.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

I love our couples therapist. She is really good at what she does, is very fair and doesn't chose sides. The style and technique which she uses, helps us meet in the middle and see each side of the problem. I am really grateful as this has helped our relationship tremendously.
No pricing issues like the others, although I paid attention to the cancellation policy so that I wouldn't had any problemsThriveworks Administrative Services, LLC
