    I'm sure the software or programming itself is solid considering the rigorous document submitting. However I had some problems logging in due to a temporary phone number and have received nothing but resistance. Considering they have my government ID, private documents and facial recognition photos due to a secure submission I wouldn't think that a phone number would pose so much resistance. I'm in the middle of deleting my account and never using ID me again. Terrible experience.

    For years I have attempted to verified my identity as a "Histology Technician" under the medical professional discount program.
    By their own definition my job falls under this category:
    Clinical Technician (e.g., Pharmacy Technician, Dialysis Technician, Laboratory Technician, etc.)
    No matter how many times I contact them - they refuse to educate their workers on what to look for to verify a medical professional license under the American Society of Clinical Pathology. In the case of HT(ASCP) lab workers there is not, and will never be, an "official paper" they print out; There is just a number. That number identifies me. They can run a search and locate my name and credential with that number. I did them a favor and showed them the ASCP logo on the website where this is listed, my name on my credential portal, and my credential number but still that's not enough.
    Somehow their customer support seems so inept they can't grasp this idea because OTHER credentials DO print a special paper... but I have one of the few that does not, and I cannot do such a thing.
    I am being discriminated against and treated unfairly because they can't be f***** to learn how ASCP credentials work. They can't be bothered with accepting a credential number and verifying it on a public system that lists ALL providers so insurance systems, hospitals, and other entities like ID.me can check.
    I will have to verify using other methods but it has been YEARS and I am still having this issue. It horrifies me that the government is actually using these people.

    Emails go unanswered, the phone number that the company provides to vendors for customer support is a recording that states no agents are available, and the phone number listed on this page is not a working number. It’s obvious that the consumer is not important to them, and the 1.12/5 star rating is only further proof. Considering they can’t be given a “0”, the rating speaks volumes (and I think it’s generous)!

    This POS company was given the right to cancel Americans as a human being and they did just that. I am now homeless. ID.me employees and/or the CEO better hope we never bump into each other. It won't end well. My live in a stand my ground state and they have actively went after my lively hood. It's coming you fucking trash. Enjoy

    This verification process has become a total nightmare for me and plenty others. I've never experienced such a hassle to verify my own information. This is absurd. How do you create a security software to keep the frauds out, but the innocents can't get in either. I just want to update my phone number on my account so I can access my UI benefits. I've been waiting for a response from my case being "escalated for review" since January. I'll be emailing the commissioner soon.

    This is the second time I have tried to use IDme first time for pandemic unemployment over 2 years ago and now trying to get a copy of my 1040 from last years taxes. Ok so as if unemployment is hard enough to deal with them having to go through IDme to verify your identity is an absolute joke!!!!! So that was about I'm thinking about a month long process before I could get verified.....to be able to start receiving any money when at the time I had already been unemployed for almost a year!!!! So since then my phone had gotten stolen so I had to change my number and do not have access to my old(stolen) phone. So I tried creating a new account with IDme but it said there was already an account with that same SS# after I put in all my info. They told me to sign into my old account but I had forgotten my sign in password and being a new phone and all of course that information did not transfer to my saved information. So I clicked on forgot password but they said they could do that because it was not the same phone number!!!!! SO FRUSTRATING I DONT KNOW WHY THIS COMPANY EXISTS YOU CAN'T EVER TALK TO ANYONE AND WHEN YOU TRY TO CONTACT SUPPORT ALL YOU GET IS A ROBOT THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!!!!!

    Our government office provides benefit services to military veterans. ID.me is a contractor for the VA and veterans must use them to be able to acquire their Veterans Identification Card (VIC). It is my belief that ID.me makes the process so much more complicated because each additional step they take creates higher tiers of billing. Each time we are able to get over one hurdle of getting veterans authenticated for their VIC, ID.me creates another time-consuming reason to have to spend hours or days to complete the process. We can appreciate thoroughness to prevent identity theft, yet the reasons for delay or not approving the process are most times not legitimate, i.e. phone verification (phone has already verified through providing 6 digit codes) documents not readable (documents are crystal clear & they have been uploaded 3 or more times each), inability to connect for video call. We go through this process almost 5 days a week and the difficulty in getting this VIC for veterans is outrageous, inefficient and ineffective. Our office is extremely busy and using ID.me is draining!

    This company shouldn’t exist. I lost a bunch of weight due to previously being ill and these people literally told me I’m not the person on my DL even though I have my birth certificate, passport and other forms of I.d to prove my identity. So I have no way of doing or accessing certain things on ******* that I need to!
