I was recently charged without any notification for a digital local newspaper. Because the cost was quadruple what I had paid, I called to cancel my subscription. I was informed they didnt give refunds. That is a travesty. Buyer beware

I started getting notifications on my phone and GANNETT popped up today. Never heard of it. Contacted my credit card company and they have charged me $19.99 a year, 2023, 2024 and now 2025. I have no idea what this is? Have never received any kind of newspaper from them. I called during business hours and they claimed they were closed, even though they stated the business hours and I was well within the timeframe. I just want my $59.97 back for the 3 year scam. And CANCEL this bogus subscription.

After years of subscription, I want to cancel. This process is exhausting. I've called multiple multiple times and the paper keeps getting delivered. My eye sight is failing and I can no longer enjoy your paper. Starting two days ago, the paper is now calling me every day. Please, cancel my subscription and don't call.

For the past several months my email has been cluttered with offers to subscribe to, since Gannett bought it, the un newsworthy Kewanee Star Courier. I have requested, several times, to be removed from their mailing list, but this has not happened.

Scam! Billed me for ads with no contract, proposal, information, or agreement. They are scammers. Beware!

Check your credit cards! Gannett charges $19.99/mo for unknown products/services without notification. It then locks out people by not answering phones and not allowing access online because "system not available now." I HAD TO REPORT CHARGES AS FRAUD AND CANCEL MY CREDIT CARD TO GET RID OF THIS SCAM COMPANY.

I have an unlimitrd subscription to ********** The Tennessean, The ************** Sentinal and The ******* Sun started in September. Starting Friday certain stories are blocked saying I needed a subscription. After talking with *** and **** in customer care, they stated I didn't have unlimited because I got a promo price. After some disussion, they then said I couldn't look at those stories because I had an ad blocker and they couldnt give me those stories unless I allowed the ads to pay for the story. I pointed out that nothing in thier ad says I must to this to read articles. They insisted that it told me when the ad blocking notice popped up how to unblock it. I know how to unblock them, but nowhere does it say in the ads, you have unlimited but must not block the ads. Nowhere does it tell you this is why they are doing it, just you must not block them. I must say this is untruth in advertising.

I have been charged as high as $120 per month for the print version when the current rate is $35 per month. Repeated e-mails to the editor have gone unanswered and promised return phone calls have not happened.
