Important information

  • Customer Complaint:

The BBB has received numerous complaints from consumers that allege paying a large fee to this firm for EIN numbers and the company claiming to be with the IRS.  Online searches for this company website show that the website is based in Iceland and not in the United States.  BBB strongly encourages consumers to visit the irs.gov website directly for any assistance in obtaining a EIN number.  Consumers report their bank accounts being charged hundreds of dollars repeatedly for fees and providing SSN, passport information and other forms of ID that have then been compromised.  To date, we have not received any responses to the complaints on file.

BBB suggests consumers also report their experience to the FTC at www.ftc.gov

On January 2, 2025, I requested an *** number on my phone, mistakenly thinking I was on the *** website. I was charged $319 for this service, which is typically free. Upon receiving an email response, I realized it was not the a **** website, and filing for the *** number is free. I immediately contacted the company to ******. I questioned what service they were providing if I could do this for free. After learning that the BBB has given them an F rating, I now realize I should have contested the charge earlier. I will dispute the charge on my credit card tomorrow.

While attempting to apply for an EIN number from the *** for an LLC, a fraudulent website popped up posing as the *** website. It appears that you are going through the *** application when in reality it is a separate .com website that charges you $319 for a phony EIN filing.

************************************************************** Incorrectly identified as the *** to get an EIN number. In addition this false information also has my personal SSN number. I would like proof that they have deleted my personal information and refund me the amount charge ( false advertising)

Identical issue to those posted previously about this website. The issue happened on 12/30/24 with a business that has no clear identity or proper DBA usage. Business handles and collects sensitive information without properly stating their company's name. I requested to be refunded ($319) and not year heard anything back. The way they represent their company logo, website color, use of EIN, ETAX was very deceptive. They have taken advantage of their SEO priority on ******. This business is capitalizing on *** related wordings and impersonating the *** website colors and services. They are victimizing citizens under the pretense of providing services. All they do for EIN is basically transcribe the information provided you by individuals thinking you were IRS. Extremely deceptive.

I was told to sign up for an EIN with my new business and I mistakenly late at night clicked the wrong link to *************************************** instead of ******* website. I put in my personal information and realized after receiving a fraud alert this was likely a scam. I did not realize this until after the card was charged. Happened 12/29/24

I was sent an email of what seemed to be an official IRS notice, so I opened this email. I clicked on the link because of the threatening nature of this email, as they stated I would be fined for not renewing with them. Having never filed a *** before, I did not have any reason to disbelieve this email. My credit card information was already saved somehow, so this company (not a government entity) charged me $249 for a report I filed FOR FREE. This is an absolute scam, and it is absolutely un-American to prey upon small business owners.

Website: ****************************** First time trying to start a business was waiting on confirmation for the *** or entity I was opening in the state of **********. This website was very deceptive with the text message they sent me that had my company name I applied with and other deceptive factors. They charged me $199 for an EIN number which I wasnt aware was free. They also asked for personal info such as SSN, email, addresses.

This company sent an email to my business when I applied for the government certification. It was deceptive and not correct but they will not refund it. I already have an EIN, so this is even going to cause an issue with a duplicate.

The purchase was made on 12/21/24. I was under the impression that this is the website you go to in order to get an EIN for my new business. They charged me $319.00. Once the purchase went through it asked me to pay another $249 for my ***. I looked up information on the *** and saw that you don't have to pay for it. That's when I realized this was a scam. I contacted them via email and asked for a refund. I will call them on Monday when they are open to request a refund. I also filed a case with my credit card company and they are going to appeal the charge.

On December 19, 2024, I needed to apply for an EIN with the ***. I ran a ****** search for this, and I used the first result from that search, thinking it was an IRS site. I completed the application, and was surprised to see the request for payment ($319.00), as applying for an EIN used to be free, but it's been decades since I have done this. Only after I received the confirmation email did I realize this was not an IRS site, but a third party. When I subsequently received an email from the vendor telling me they would need a power of attorney, I realized that this is a scam.
