  I bought a home from Stanley Martin homes. In the beginning it was great the people were helpful and getting stuff done. My understand new homes will have problems and Im very understanding but Im also very ***** on being fair. Stanley Martin owed me money and it took a month of me constantly hounding these people to get it. The guy who was initially taking care of it was great in the beginning but after I wrote him a great review on AvidSurvey he switched up and being impossible to contact. I continued to send double texts, even triple text, and calling but no response eventually I said hey man if you are busy just say you are busy but just communicate a time when we can speak. After a month finally he paid the money owed then instead of apologizing for the bare minimum responses he says done, anything further speak to Stanley Martin Warrenty and says have a good day. When you owe someone money you cannot catch an attitude when they ask for what it is owed. Simple and professional would have been an apology and an explanation of whats going we are human so I would understand more besides that Stanley Martin homes isnt terrible but many practices need refinements.

  Several things come to mind with my home being 4 years old this month. My most recent concern is that a windstorm blew my shingles off my roof, which I am to understand are low grade quality shingles. Stanley Martin only answered me once in regards to they will not cover the cost of repairs. I have emailed and called several times to know availability. . Roofs are made to last way longer than that, like 15 years minimum up to 30 to 40 years. This has barely been 4 years. Out of six townhomes in my row four of them had wind damage. I am very upset that Stanley Martin will not contact me so I can hopefully get some repairs done. I am very afraid that I will have rain come in soon and my roof will be damaged. It's very disappointing. I love the neighborhood but there are a lot of problems.

  Poor quality work. When we moved we noticed the front of our house had a chunk of stucco was missing in the corner. We spoke to several people and was told they would speak to their managers about it. Finally got a whole of the warranty department to be told, it was hit by something such as lawn equipment. I was speechless because it was like this on the day of the walk through the whole house was cheaply made. ******************* is no help. Wouldnt recommend buying from Stanley Martin homes.

  We closed on our house in August of 2021 in *******. In less than 3 years the cost of needed repairs has topped $10,000 that we have paid out of pocket. So far ******* Martin has not been willing to reimburse us for any of it. If you don't want to be in financial distress due to repairs- do not purchase a Stanley Martin Home.

  I purchased a new home from them in April 2023. We have a serious ** problem started by moving the home. I sent them the following email. (We called their ** company at least seven times. I told them if I have an issue with our ** I will call a professional Company inspect problem an fix the issue with that company not D&R) Unfortunately, our ** broke down again this weekend. It wasn't working or cooling, so we called a professional ** company for repair and inspection. They discovered that it is losing gas, indicating a likely leak somewhere. They added a dye to locate the leak and will check it again in a week. You can see the details in the attached document.Additionally, they noticed that the seal is missing from the ** unit. This is concerning because the seal is essential, and its absence suggests that something might be hidden. Why is the seal not on the ** unit?As I mentioned before, if the ** broke again, I would call a professional company to find a permanent solution, and you would need to cover the repair costs. We have contacted your company seven times since our first week here, but we still haven't gotten a permanent solution.One of my contractors mentioned that if an ** needs repair three times in a year, it should be replaced. I will look into this further. I also learned that the ** units were purchased from various sources and installed by different people, and you are working with a third party for the warranty. This lack of accountability is frustrating because normally one company should handle all these aspects.We are very disappointed with the ongoing issues and having to contact you every 2-3 months for repairs. ** units are not supposed to function like this. I hope you understand our frustration. We need a permanent solution to this problem, and you need to cover the repair costs.

  Seems its a trend with company to only fix what is required before the closing, been after them to relocate a sprinkler head that was installed on some elses property, its been 3 months, barely get the manager to respond to my calls and messages. Flooring has warped multiple times, water heater not working correctly for months. The list goes on Ill never again buy from them

  Very poor build quality. Molding on exterior and interior is very poor. Pai t is cheap and very low grade. We have had at least 15 hardy plank siding board Crack between 1 and 3 years of new ownership. Bathroom gout in the main shower has cracked after just 2 years and there are a tin of imperfections in the finish work. Be very careful if you buy a home from them.

  We recently bought a house in ************, **************. Our construction manager *************************, he responded nicely before the closing. After the closing he is not at all responding. There are couple of things left that should be done before the closing. He said they will do at 60 day appointment. Its been more than 5 months since our closing there are still couple of things pending which are really important concerns for us. We have been messaging him about the works. He is not even replying to our messages. Please look into this COMPLAINT and get it done.Thank you.

  I submitted an offer to purchase a house of theirs and they came back with a higher than listed house price even though they had no other offers. They refused to even honor the price they listed it for. Beware, this is not a builder that you want to purchase from.
