      I was initially a bit hesitant about getting my solar system from a sales pitch, but SmartRoof did a good job installing my new solar panel system, and their quote was in line with the other quotes I had received from Energysage. All of the crew members were skilled and knowledgeable. Although individually quite competent, they could have been better organized as a team. While that disorganization (missing parts or tools on site, not having correct inspection information ready) slowed down the installation, the final product looks good and blends into my existing back roof so well that my neighbors are unlikely to know I have solar. The electrical team was especially skilled and competent and did a great job wiring this new system into my existing electrical system.

      The solar department of this company is a massive scam, they quote you improperly on your current energy rates so that you will be convinced that you will save money when you will not. The "no money down" claim is a sham to hide the fact that all of their loans require the ITC be paid in full to the loan company by month 18, otherwise your monthly rate will increase significantly. They employ aggressive sales tactics such as promising that there is no cancellation time frame so that you will sign in your first meeting even when you are still undecided. They are also internally a pyramid scheme, taking advantage of 18-25 year old hopeful employees to generate leads for peanuts (max 1% of a sale and overall $30-40k annually) while the salespeople and executives all pocket 6-7 figures annually without issue.

      I am very pleased with the work. My roof looks amazing. James Jones was very patient with explaining the process with me. He answered every question I asked and kept me up to date on everything going on with my. Was also very polite and professional too.

      A classic case of bait and switch. A rep came to my door due to a recent storm in the area and asked if wanted him to do a free inspection.

      The initial person was friendly and seemed trustworthy. We went through the process and our insurance company approved us for a new roof, but the experience went downhill from there. The following person I dealt with has been a nightmare. Seemed friendly but provided us with misinformation to get us to upgrade to fatten his commission. After the deal was signed, he would never return any of my calls from that point on. As a consumer roofing is not my business, and we relied on this so-called professional to guide us and give us accurate information to make decisions.

      Everything is done virtually, so getting copies of any of the documents is a hassle. I didn't get access to their online portal until 5/30/23 – a week after the install, even though I requested access several times. The invoice was just an amount, not broken out so I could even see how they arrived at the amount and when I called to speak to their accounts receivable rep, she was rude and overtalked me. I reminded her that I was a customer and if she didn't have the patience to listen to my questions and answer them, to put someone on the phone who did. I eventually received an invoice with the costs broken out, but it did not match what the Project Designer had promised.

      The roof was completed in 1 day, but a lot of debris was left behind. A field supervisor came to inspect the roof the following day but did not go up on the roof! Even from the ground she found several areas that required them to come back to fix. It took them a few days to come back out to fix, and I requested that someone who would go up on the roof come out to re-inspect, but we are still waiting for that to be done.

      Furthermore, they are WAY overpriced. My neighbor got his roof replaced with a different company and paid a little more than half of what Smartroof charged.

      Had a wonderful experience with SmartRoof from roof assessment, purchase agreement, scheduling, and installation. James J. and his crew completed entire roof installation in one day (seemingly with ease). Frequent contact was made to let us know what was due to occur every step of the way. Great clean-up job afterwards.

      Gutter work was completed the next day with a small friendly crew. Clean-up was done well by that crew also.

      Again, Great Experience working with SmartRoof!
