      They provide terrible service in ******** ********! We have monthly power outages lasting between 5-48hrs, which causes major disruption working from home, wasting food and taking care of a young child. The outages happen constantly in our area and no remedial measures are taken by Dominion! They could every easily protect the power lines, cut trees around the lines, protect boxes… anything! But no! We are very annoyed with these constant outages while Dominion keeps increasing its rates!

      I wish I could award zero stars. Va Power is the most unreliable power company that I've ever had - and l've lived around the country. Hello VA Power - we get thunderstorms here year round. Yet seemingly every single time it even looks like a thunderstorm might roll through and just like that - no power. This is now maddeningly consistent. You'd think by now that it would have figured out where the potential trouble spots were and take some preventative measures to alleviate those trouble spots. If I could swithch power companie I would - instead I'm stuck with incompetents.

      If I could give zero stars, then I would. Dominion energy is an absolute joke. I have been trying to pay my monthly bill of 108 dollars for the past THREE MONTHS and every single time I schedule a payment, they wait up to a week to take the money out. By that time, the money is no longer in my account due to other bills coming out. I have been financially struggling for a while now and this just makes things even more frustrating due to them now threatening to disconnect power. I have tried calling to resolve this issue, however, every attempt at a resolution is just met with denial on their part and how its somehow my problem that they decide to wait a week after the due date to pull the money from my account. **************** for ******************************************* is by far the worst and I can see why they only have one star out of over a hundred reviews.

      horrible experience trying to figure out if a rebate program still exists for buying an energy star dehumidifier; website user unfriendly; called customer service and they give me a list of 7 options to hit in succession which is outrageous and a topic for a Saturday night live skit. No one knows anything. One of your employees just hung up on me. Disgraceful! Unprofessional!

      June 4, 2025 Better Business Bureau, Thank you for bringing this customers concern to our attention. We appreciate the opportunity to research and investigate ********** is important to note that although Dominion Energy does offer rebate programs to our customers, they are not solely implemented by us. As we do not sell the products to be purchased there are certain steps processed via the applicable 3rd party. We have no control over what an individual retailer chooses to disclose/display within their establishment with regards to details of a rebate program offered through our company. What we can confirm is that applicable terms and conditions/policy requirement were/are available on our website during the active terms of any program ********** we know there are multiple ways to maneuver through any given website. How quickly one can access the intended data can be determined on how the search is implemented. We do apologize for the situation described that the customer experienced and the fact that their contact did not provide access to the requested data more efficiently. We have reviewed our website and found multiple avenues of accessing the intended rebate data with fewer steps. When in doubt it is easier to put in a key word in the general search bar in the top right-hand corner to access information faster. As an example of different paths to access data, searching with the key word of rebates takes an additional 1-2 steps than searching by Energy Star which gets you to the intended data almost immediately. Further review of the account notes suggest that the customer may have been directed to an unrelated website resulting in the root cause of their concern. Following the directions listed above through our general website (**************************************************) would be the correct way to access said data.       Dominion energy *** disconnected my power it has been 4 days now I sitting in the cold no food because it all went bad no water no power. Yes I was behind on my bill and paid it last week but the payment came back due to fraud ***** checking account and I called ******************** several times and they didn't want to listen. The domionion **** tried to find me programs and they couldn't find nothing ***** area including 211 couldnt find anything because my power had been disconnected all I asked for was a 10 days extension until i.could ********** funds ******* bank and no was the answer.i have attached a email where I submitted my information to the fdic to try and recover ********. I get to sit in the cold ********* food went bad no water and no money to buy any food or water.

      By far the worst customer experience I've had with ANY company, by ***. Words cannot begin to describe how horrible this company is. I'll try to be brief. We our doing a house addition and needed a simple reconnect to the meter box 10 feet away from the original connection point. Instead of reconnecting they took our meter and disconnected our power, just leaving us like that. We spent literally dozens of hours on the phone for 7 days trying to get it back - while they blamed up for losing the meter, when we have it in their writing that they took it. The entire time this was happening we were PAYING for electricity while the house was completely unpowered with NO METER. We spoke to dozens of people who promised various things like people coming by and phones calls back - none of these promised things EVER came. WE STILL DONT HAVE POWER 7 days later and WE ARE PAYING FOR THE PLEASURE OF IT.

      I've had Va power for a long time at different locations. Never complained, just paid my bill. Evidently for at least the last year, no way of knowing exactly how long because they can't or won't tell me, they have been estimating my electric bill. I never studied the bill, just paid it. They finally sent a person to read the meter and they were under estimating how much I used. So now they send a bill for $1001. Because of va power's ignorance to follow thru and read the meter I have this huge amount of money due, whereas if they had been reading the meter at least every other month to verify usage, I would have been paying them all along, verses now they want a big down payment and a plan to add to my bill every month till paid, and according to their policy, they will charge a late fee every month until it's paid off. That's c*** policy when it was their lack of follow through to send me a monthly bill that I would have paid in full each month. It takes forever to get through to actual person, and they take no responsibility for the financial situation they put me in due to their negligence. I've been dealing with chemo, surgery and radiation for the last year and have medical bills that I need to pay every month, now I have this issue to deal with due to to fault of my own. Thanks Va power for s******* up my bill and putting me in this situation!

      In my 20 years of renting and property ownership, I've dealt with various energy providers, and Dominion Energy stands out as one of the worst. They charge high rates for electricity and have a troubling habit of disconnecting service for consistent customers without warning. This lack of communication is alarming, especially in an industry that relies heavily on customer trust. I strongly advise against using Dominion Energyit's a poor choice for your hard-earned money. Consider relocating to an area with better energy providers. Note that my future residential search criteria will not include areas serviced by Dominion Energy.

      I paid $150 security deposit instead of them running my credit and lowering my credit score. After a year of service and selling the house, I gave Dominion my new mailing address and they sent the security deposit check to the old address which was cashed by someone else. And they refused to re-issue a check to me or give me any information about the check or who cashed it. Absolutely horrible customer service. I wasted months calling.

      The energy saving plan is ********. You will end up paying more than regular billing. DOM is cheating people and saving moeny for themselves and charging more to use this program. I have enough proof to show. The representative agreed this plan doesn't work for me and most of the customers. She was so rude and did not feel sorry for what has happened. I would warn everyone to be cautious and not get into this trap. So far I paid $300 more in 5 months I have used. I just noticed the comparison table in my account online and realized that I have been charged more that regular bill rate. Rediculous misleading program.
