      Good communications / updates during the annual inspection process. **** conducted a very thorough crawlspace inspection and informed me of a non-moisture problem.

      My certified inspector MatthewCote out of the ********, MT office found i have a natural spring comming up in my crawlspace. I knew I had water streaming all over crawlspace and my husband believed it was due to watering lawn of the hill our house sits on. **** was great to work with, he was totally professional. He explained my situation and showed me in photos and map of my basement what this ssprincause, how it had eroded and damage caused. It has been going on for quite a few years, of which I noticed escalation of water even though I decreased watering on above lawn. I wish I had researched this sooner. But **** assured me it's not too late. He was clear and concise as to what I needed done to resolve and eliminate further damage by installing 2 sump pumps, installing trenches & piping to drain all areas of water, draining ouside of house past septic and ***** field, add a humidifier and encapsulation of crawlspace. I highly recommend Groundworks and **** to anyone.

      We used Groundworks to lift our porch and seal the perimeter of our house. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. From our initial contact to the final product, they were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.

      We were impressed by the thoroughness of the inspection. ***** answered all of our questions and gave us three options, depending on how much work we wanted done. We were also relieved that the cost was less than we thought it might be.

      My wife and I had foundational support piers installed by *********************** after an inspection for a 3/4 sinking in one corner of our house that was causing large visible cracking in the exterior brick. ***** and his crew did a good job installing the foundation support piers and clearly explained what they were doing and why. They also did an admirable job limiting the mess caused by breaking through the subfloor of our basement. The low rating is for the lack of communication from the project manager ***** *******. The job was originally scheduled for 2 days, June 26th and 27th. On the morning of the 27th while talking to ***** as the crew arrived, I asked if they were on schedule to complete the job that day. We were shocked to find out that the city inspection had been scheduled for Monday June 30th and that the work could not be completed until after the inspection. This meant that we had to coordinate someone to be home on Monday the 30th as well, no easy feat on short notice for new parents who both work full-time jobs. Coordinating being home on the 30th with no notice was seriously disruptive to not only my work responsibilities. We are not ignorant of the fact that circumstances can arise outside of Ohio Basements Authoritys control, such as the schedule of city inspectors.Additionally, when ***** gave us the original quote during the inspection we were left with the impression that only the flooring of our finished basement would have to be removed for the installation process. This was not the case as ***** and his team immediately said upon arrival that sections of our drywall would have to be removed. ***** either didnt understand the installation process or misled us, either is problematic for a job at this price point. We now have a much larger recovery project than we had anticipated (~50 sq ft of drywall had to be taken out) to return our basement to working order.

      I have to say I was fully satisfied with the end result of the work done at my house. I was getting ***** piping replaced throughout my entire townhouse with modern Pex piping. If you plan to live a bit more conscious free, I highly suggest it. The work done wasn't completely to my satisfaction and the project took much longer than expected due to various reasons. Most of the supervisors I worked with were very competent and solidly communicative with my frustrations, actually empathizing with the reality of the situation. The initial person who did the job was a great and super friendly guy but his helper was just not great and he had to continually fix his problems which made things run over. Months later when I got settled I expressed frustration to the management and A-1 met in the middle with I on a constructive solution. I am 100% happy with the results and plan to do a lot more business with them.A really really big shoutout to *** who was easily the best contact person I got in touch who made things happen. Make SURE you get to a supervisor who doesn't give you a standoffish attitude or dismiss your concerns, they have really great people working here.!

      I had my 1 year warranty check up with ****** ******** and it was a pleasure to work with him. He went above and beyond repairing a small error from the install last year. I really appreciate his help and professionalism.
