We called Innovative Business Authority (IBA) aka Groundworks at the end of June, 2022 because we had water in our basement. Someone came to our home, looked around and determined that there was a crack in our foundation, that we needed drain tile in our walls and a new sump pump, and that we needed to lay a barrier inside the walls. The cost was more than ******** We wanted to start work right away, so we signed a contract that agreed upon service, wrote a check for ****** and waited to hear when they could come. They didn't call when they said they would, so I called them. They wouldn't be able to come until October 18. This was not an acceptable agreement, so we said we would shop around and I requested that they extend my cancelation period from 3 days to 10 days. We spoke with 3 more companies, one came to the house and took our walls apart. All 3 businesses said the same thing, and the proof was behind the walls. There was NO crack in our foundation, drain tile was already in the walls and functional, sump pump was in proper order and working, there was no need for another sump pump. I officially canceled with *** on July 13. I followed the contractual procedure to cancel by emailing a form back. The email did not work. So I called and got a different email and sent my cancelation. According to their contract, they were to reimburse my deposit in 10 business days from day of cancelation. I called today to ask if I could expect payment today, day 10. They said no. They've indicated that a check will be mailed to me, but I've not seen it. I fear that we've been ripped off. Meanwhile, I need that money to be able to move forward with another company to fix the problem. I can't do anything without my deposit back, and I still have water in my basement. *** really has us in a bind! I've shared in a written email my concerns. The man today said he received those concerns back on July 13 but chose not to call me back. Very disappointed.

5 starsI had my basement waterproofed by Aquaguard several years ago.*********************** came to do my yearly inspection and he was wonderful. He explained everything to me and upon my request checked my gutters also for a quote to install leaf guards.****** had the most wonderful customer service. Straight to the point- the salesman who did my initial survey did not calculate the size of my property correctly. The work crew at least caught the issue and worked with the office to not make that a penalty to me. The initial work itself went smoothly aside from the cleanup on the property not being great, but within 2 months I had huge cracks in my brick veneer and windows pulling away from the frame of my house. When calling *** for follow up, they were completely non-communicative, made several assurances that field supervisors would contact me, and no one ever followed through or seemed to care at all that the work they did was apparently faulty. We are currently trying to figure out if the AFS team will in fact be working with us to resolve the ongoing issues with our foundation or if we will have to get attorneys involved.Groundworks, LLC

No call and no show for appointment. I called, and was told there was no record of my appointment. I asked for supervisor, call was disconnected. I called again, told my appointment was another day, but did not have my correct contact information. VERY disappointed.Groundworks, LLC
