    Solitude was extremely responsive to a request for the removal of landscape debris around the lake beds. They notified the office in advance of their arrival so all preparations could be made if necessary. There was a large palm tree that was pulled out of the lake which they were planning on coming back the next day to pick up. Instead arrangements were made to remove the palm the same day so it did not have to be left beside the lake. Ean and his team were great!

    We hired Solitude Lake to manage some water features at our apartment complex. With renovations, we drained one of the ponds and for 9 consecutive months our company's request to reduce the scope of our service were completely ignored as they continued to bill for services they were nor providing. They are unresponsive and clearly do not care about their customers and relationship with them.

    Our homeowner's association ********* **** Ellicott City, Md hired this company in 2019 through our property manager Tidewater to maintain our community storm water pond. In the contract, the basin of the pond was supposed to be treated with herbcides for invasive weed growth and kept clear, sandfilter drains kept cleared, reporting to the Community twice a month during spring thru summer, and once a month November to March with any issues. The firm was hired when the Community had a complete rework of the pond to County specifications after the last inspection done in 2018. The Community received "clean" reports thru December 2022 from Solitude. Upon the County's inspection in September 2022 and receiving the report in January 2023, the County stated that the invasive growth needed to be removed and sandfilter drains cleared so the pond could properly drain. There was also a four foot tree growing in the middle of the basin. The management company Tidewater contacted Solitude who stated they were not responsible. As president of the Community Association and having a copy of the detailed contract asked for a meeting with Solitude. Upon meeting, Solitude admitted that they had dropped the ball! We asked that Solitude as stated in their contract meet with the County to determine what needed to be done to pass the inspection. Solitude offered a **** credit on billing which was unacceptable. We had paid over ****** *or the maintenance service contract. We asked for a minimum *******  Solitude also said that we would have to pay for the clean up through a subcontractor which amount to ******* which was outrageous. After agreeing to contact and meet with the County with all parties attending, Solitude never initiated a meeting until I got the County involved. Solitude told the County they usually don't meet but the issue was between Solitude and the Community. The County asked Solitude to set up a meeting within 10 days to meet to review the issues. Don't use!

    We have a small pond that Solitude(aka lake doctors) has taken care of for 5+ years. We have always been able to work with them, Lily pad management, cattails. . They have never compromised the fish that live in the lake. We have also been able to work our payment plans that work for us, we had to tweak the regularity of the visits and quarterly works for us.

    A complete shower. On the first visit they attempted to cure the algae in my pond by tipping in a load of chemicals and killed around 50% of them within 24 hours. They then admitted they should have tested the oxygen level before doing so. Oooops, but we don't care. I cancelled the contract and was left with one months bill to pay. Despite emails/ Phone calls/ and letters trying to resolve this invoice, they have ignored everything and sent my bill to debt collectors. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

    I have called and left messages with no return call. They were to call me before service each time but never do. We have had 3 or 4 different people servicing our area so there is no communications. We have a few ponds that they now decided to not treat. I told them about this but still nothing

    I called the office on behalf of the charter school regarding questions on the invoices and contract. Veronica was very helpful and answered all my questions. I am very pleased with the service. You don't get a lot of good customer service now a days but I sure got one from Solitude! Have a wonderful day!

    "Company thinks they can break the contract and charge even more." That is what another poor customer of Solitude wrote. Wish I had read these!! I was quoted ****** for 4 treatments on a quarterly basis. After signing the contract, it was changed to ********** for monthly service without any explanation except that "management" told quoter to increase the price and type of service. I advised quoter that another company I called said a boat was needed, but he disagreed. The tech who did the work was unable to reach 1/2 of the weed area and said he would talk with manager about getting a boat in here. Manager stated "Since this is a one time treatment that was a confirmed "rush" job request for last week we will not be able to return under this contract. In regards to the scope of work we were able to treat according to the contract even though the water level was high. We are more than happy to work with you and create an additional contract though." I paid **** for this 1-time service that turned into 1/2-time service and now he wants more of my money to do the job contracted for! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND THEIR BAIT-AND-SWITCH TACTICS!

    Be wary of their service after the sale.

    I have never written to the *** about any company...ever. However Solitude's poor customer service, prompted this senior citizen to write.
    Solitude installed a Vertex PondLyfe 2 aerator in December, 2020. The pump died about a month ago. I immediately left phone messages. No response so I wrote 2 times to their 'Contact Us' form and then emailed. No response over 2 weeks after the equipment failure. I even wrote to Vertex about Solitude's lack of customer service at that point.
    I had to reach out to ***** ** to fix the aerator and hope the fish wouldn't suffer the effects of oxygen deprivation and/or thermal shock after it was running again.

    After it was fixed (at my expense of course) , I finally got a reply from Solitude. The email said their lack of response wasn't up to their standards and someone would contact me. A week later, I did hear from them but the person that wrote said she can't help with broken parts (even though they were under warranty) and literally gave me another phone number to call within Solitude! How disconnected from good customer service can they be?

    Ultimately, Solitude didn't help and through their customer service incompetence, they didn't honor the parts warranty for a broken membrane/rebuild kit.

    Please remember I've never written to *** before. I can truly say they are not a good company after the sale....at least from my personal experience.

    Hope they read this and fix things.

    Solitude Lake Management has been one of the worse companies I have ever dealt with. I was "Promised" a clean lake, signed contracts for yearly maintenance, aerator system and Dredging of our lake in Jan 2022. it is now the end of Aug 2022 and our lake still has not been dredged. They stored their dredging machine here for 10 for free but never dredged my lake. I spent ********* of dollars on building roads to put dredge in, cutting down about 40 trees and even bought a ******* tractor to help do this work, only to be told, the dredger can not be put in there. We have 3 different contacts either "move on or got fired" no one knows. a Sr Representative told us in July, we are working to get this resolved, but we haven't heard back from SLM. I asked to speak to upper management and get their contact information but never get the information. This company does not honor their word or contract. I gave them 1 star because there is no option for negative stars.
