On July 27, 2022, I took a large pickle jar filled with quarters, dimes, *******, and quarters. I've been saving my everyday change since before the pandemic. The last time I cashed in all my coins at a Coinstar machine, I had saved over $600. The jar, at that time, was only filled halfway. I purposely waited to cash in my coins because I knew I was going on vacation next week. My pickle jar was 3/4 filled. I take it to a Coinstar machine at the Krogers on New Cut Road and when I cashed in all my coins, it said I only had $200. They charged .25 and ****% leaving me with $176. I said no way is this only $200. There was no way I could cancel the action. I looked all around and there was no way to cancel it. I went to the ************** desk. I was instructed to contact the 800 number on the machine. I called and was on hold for 25 minutes. No one ever answered the phone. So I hung up and had to cash in the coins. I am extremely angry because I know there was more than $200 in that machine. I don't know how this can be resolved, but Coinstar needs to change their methods because I feel as though I've been robbed. I was really depending on that money and now it's gone. I really feel that this was a deceptive practice and there needs to be more accountability on how the coins are processed by Coinstar. You all really need to do better. I am beyond certain I had more than $200 in my jar. Far more.

      Good Day,

We understand you feel like there are coins missing from your transaction count. Please know, we take these claims seriously and work to ensure all counts are proper. We do have a process in place if a consumer believes all coins are counted however we cannot complete that process here. In order for us to review this fully, we would need to have a technician check the machine and complete an audit which can take a couple of weeks. To get this process started, can you please email ************************************ with your transaction details, including store you went to & the amount you received with the amount felt shorted? Once the proper team receives the details, we can get a audit started to ensure your concerns are fully addressed.

      Good Day,

We're very sorry to hear you are having troubles receiving cash for your transaction. Generally, if a voucher is scanned a second time at another register within the same store the voucher will go through without a problem. If you have a moment, please go back to the original store to have them scan one more time to receive the funds.

If this does not work, please write the word VOID on the voucher and send a picture of it to ************************************* Within the email, please include your full name and mailing address. Once received, we can send you a check for the transaction.

Thank you for giving us a chance to help,
