*** Have been a member of *** for more than 20 yrs.Over the years have seen this service business go right into the toilet. The service people on the phone can be obnoxious and rude. Service calls can go unanswered and unfilled. on and on.... BUT lately. As on today's date June 23, 2025. *** knows there has been an ONLINE EMAIL SCAM, for months at least 4 months. And *** didn't think to warn it's membership. I got hit with two credit cards from these scam and all *** said was too bad, wasn't us. You need to call your bank and credit card companies and cancel your cards. When I asked why *** has known of this and done nothing to AT LEAST WARN it's membership. The answer I got was. If you don't like our service go somewhere else. S**** YOU AAA

*** put me into an insurance policy that was $2k more than the competition. They often can't get to your location when you have a breakdown. I wouldn't give a free AAA membership to anyone I care about - get roadside assistance somewhere cheaper, more effective, and less scummy.

Hidden restrictions in towing policy: a warning light came on in my car and I limped it into the local shop, but they said it needed to go to the dealership. I called *** and they informed me that their terms of service don't let them tow from shop to shop. So if I had pulled over to the side of the road they would have helped, but not because I made it to the local shop? Pretty absurd and I'm canceling my membership.

I have no complaints with the tow truck drivers that came to provide assistance; my issue is with the customer service people you have to deal with when you phone in. (I'm not about to deal with the ap they want you to obtain and use.) Most recently it seemed like the person was reading from a script they had only just seen for the first time, incredibly tedious and I wondered if they were actually recording my information. It was like talking to a person from another planet. Another time the customer service person wanted a residential address; I was more than a mile from the nearest residence and would have no way to determine their address anyway. The directions they passed on to the driver were so bad it took an additional ************************************* They seem to be unable to take down simple directions to where you are located. People in other states have had the same problem. *** needs to put more effort into training their customer service people.

I signed up for PLUS service which includes 100 miles of tow service. I paid $127 for a year. 4 days after subscription and payment for the yearly service I needed to use Roadside Assistance for a tow of 13 miles. AAA Roadside Assistance did not honor my subscription. Told me there's a 5 day waiting period before you can get plus and told me that I only get 5 miles of towing. I had to pay an additional $50 to have my vehicle towed an additional 8 miles. I am appalled at this. Not only do I want to cancel my subscription, I want my subscription refunded. I will never use AAA again. You disgust me.

I have been a AAA member for 35+ years, and I really appreciate the customer service and professionalism exhibited by their technicians. Today they fixed a small problem with my vehicle and saved me an expensive trip to the Dealer.

Our experience with AAA was excellent. We needed a tow from ********** ** to ********* WA, The driver communicated with us the entire time until he arrived. ******* was the driver, he did an AMAZING job hauling our truck, driving down the gorge, with heavy traffic and winding roads, he was very professional and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his job!

I can't believe how bad they are, it's a scam. Better world club is much more reasonable and professional, no stress!I am in actual litigation because of an assault by one of their drivers. There's a reason the BBB doesn't support this company.

My husband and I had been members of AAA for over 27 years. We have several vehicles, and have only had them towed when they were inoperable or unsafe to drive, and to my recollection never more than a tow home if needed and then to the mechanic, which we understood was allowed. This year, for no clear reason and having had no tows after renewal, we were informed AAA was canceling our membership due to "abuse of towing." We received written notification with no detail, and when I asked for a towing history and was promised it would be sent, it never was. I have no idea what they based their decision on, other than probably some internal cost cutting measure.

I have the upgraded service through AAA. I buy a car. The car has an issue and I need it towed. They refused to tow it, because, "It's not an emergency its just transportation!"They also said, "You need to meet the tow driver and provide ID."I have had my cars towed 4 times and not once have I had to wait with the car! The one time I tried to wait with the car, AAA forgot about me and I waited for over 6 hours! If I actually had an emergency... why would I call AAA? So thanks AAA for not picking up my car.
