Claims Issue: During my international travel from the other side of the globe, the last flight carrier happened to be Alaska. Two out of three checked bags did not arrive and with much drama with the ******************* and reroute of bags they arrived twenty four hours late. I had two issues: my laptop came in damaged and I needed some items from my missing luggage urgently for an event and so purchased them. Both claims I raised: laptop with original carrier and the purchased with Alaska. The saga of these claims is long. At least a dozen calls, over two dozen emails and letters. While Alaska agreed to reimburse me for the purchases, first they were doing it partially without reason for denial. And the reimbursement was in the form of gift card - really what's with that? With multiple more calls they agreed to fully pay me in the form of check. It's been over eight weeks since that agreement and nothing yet. Both carriers denied laptop damage claim, one pointing to the other. Some clause that this has to be within seven days of the incident, which it was but with the original carrier. However, Alaska being the last carrier is where apparently all claims are to happen. How are passengers to know this. This is terrible. And they both will not communicate with each other and resolve that this is a valid claim and do something about it.Every time you call you speak with a new person. They only do email across departments as next action item. They will not call you nor email you and you have to keep doing follow up after follow up. Wild ***********!!Big Alert: Their email address central baggage service is a Black Hole - nothing ever comes out from there. Sigh!

No stars!! I do have a disability and from my understanding I did everything right for my service animal, when I get to the desk them telling me there is one more part to do, letting them know that is not how I read it and I have been approved from the third party they hired and did all my paperwork for approval for my dog to ride with me to tell me I did not do the paperwork right and I can pay for him 100 each way! Then why hire a third party for this approval then to make it more of a challenge when I get to the desk! Losing out seeing my dad that needs help and flared my anxiety through the roof now! This lead person did not do anything but to continue to be a ***** person and would not even ask me if I need assistance when you can really see in my conversation with her I have a disability and dont understand. Bad customer ********************** all the way around! Cant wait to speak to my attorney!

What a rip off company.Had to to fly urgently from ********* to *******. Booked both flight and car rental from their website. Flight was delayed by 5 hours and I cancelled the car rental as it was no longer needed at the new arrival time at *******. Alaska went ahead and charged the whole rental car amount of more than $3000 to my credit card anyway for a service they didn't provide through their own fault.Absolutely disgusting. Never again flying with them.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER **********************. My original flight had been cancelled by Alaska Airlines. I never received ANY notification about this change. This flight was the 1st leg of my trip from ****** to ******, ***********. The flight that Alaska rebooked me on landed 3 hours AFTER my connection. I called the partner ***************************** said they were unable to change the flight on their end & recommended I call Alaska. I called & was first assisted by ******** who was empathic to the situation. Because of some computer issues could not assist. She contacted her supervisor & then I was forwarded to *************** based in *******. (This is the only name he would provide me). He basically told me the only thing he could do was book a flight the day before the connection. I told him I was unable to fly a day early & would incur numerous costs (hotel, boarding my dogs, car storage, etc.) He said the best he could do was give me $150 credit to use toward a hotel. There were 4 of us flying. He reiterated that the $150 was for ALL 4 of us. I told him $150 would barely pay for a hotel room in **. He said that I was LUCKY that he was extending this courtesy to me because technically he doesnt have to take responsibility for a flight change until the day of the flight. I paid over $12,000 for this trip. He said I could wait until closer & see what happens. I told him that I wasnt willing to do that because of the expenses Ive already incurred & because this was a family reunion in another country. He said that wasnt his problem. Over & over again he kept reiterating that the contract was with *********************************** Airlines & that was it was not his problem. His only responsibility was to get me from *** to *** even if it wasnt on the day of the connecting flight. He refused to let me speak to his supervisor and laughed about me filing a complaint. He said ************* had no power over reservations. He should not be customer facing.

THIS COMPANY HAS HIT THE ALL TIME LOW. WE WERE GRANDFATHERED IN FROM THE AMAZING VIRGIN ******* WHICH WAS A HUGE SHOCK TO GO FROM THE ULTIMATE IN CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE TO THE ABSOLUTE WORST. MVP GOLD STATUS MEMBERS, SUDDENLY STRIPPED OF OUR STATUS AND WHEN CALLING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TECH ISSUE CAUSED THIS, WE HELD FOR AN HOUR ONLY TO BE GREETED IN A HOSTILE MANNER BY SUPERVISOR MIROS WHOSE MANAGER IS *************************. ***** TOLD ME THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT HER MANAGER ***** AND THEN HUNG ON ME. I'M SITTING HERE IN ABSOLUTE SHOCK AND MY CALL THE ***** MEDIA TO REPORT THEIR ATROCIOUS WRONGDOINGS.

The Alaska Milage Plan credit card is very deceiving. They **** the price way up if you use codes such as 30% off fly now or companion fare. Cost more to use discount than not to. Wish I could post pictures of this. It takes a ridiculous amount of miles to use miles. Takes me two years, even using my card all the time to collect miles, to get a one way trip somewhere plus you pay a $75 annual fee for the credit card. You do get a little discount but not as much as they make it out to be.
