Do not use LemonSquad for a pre-vehicle inspection! I initiated the inspection on a Wednesday morning, and then the inspector failed to make the scheduled appointment on Thursday, and then failed to make another scheduled inspection on Friday, so we ultimately had to contact another mobile mechanic to do the inspection on Saturday, since purchasing a used car is highly time sensitive. I will now have to eat their quite expensive fee, since they provide no recourse for a refund or credit when they delay the inspection.

They booked an inspection ************************************************************* to see a car from out of state. I called at 8:07 to cancel the apt scheduled and confirmed in an email for the next day and they said they would refund it. They then called back 2 hours later stating the inspector went out to the dealer after the cancelation so I would be charged a cancelation fee. 2 weeks later I have not received any refund. They keep saying they will call me back but nothing is getting done. They sent an inspector after the *** was cancelled and tried to charge me anyways . They failed to refund any of the amount. They will not let me speak to a manager and keep having different people "call me back" without a resolution. They have stated multiple times they will refund me but have failed to refund me. I have all the time stamped emails and phone calls of the events as evidence of their negligence and being shady to send some one to charge a fee after the appointment had been cancelled. Now they keep saying they will refund me but fail to process a refund.

Dealer told me the inspector wasnt even on site long enough to know all of the information in the report, that he was in a rush and probably made up some of the stuff to fill in the report fully (it was a Friday if that makes any difference). I was told the inspector did not drive the vehicle, so Im not sure how he would know the status of the transmission and brakes that he commented on. I called them to complain and all they did is deny deny deny and deflect it onto me as if it was my fault I didnt know what a PPI consisted of?? I feel like the Lemon Squad has incentive to tell its inspectors to diminish the apparent quality of the vehicle in order to keep customers coming back. Once you find a vehicle you like, you wont be using their service anymore! Im still looking for a car but absolutely wont be using Lemon Squad! 0/10

Poor inspection that missed many items. I could forgive them missing the deferred maintenance items, but there was at least two thousand dollars worth of issues that were readily apparent and missed by the inspector. When I requested a refund they refused. To be clear, the vehicle arrived with issues. The inspection was $250, it wouldve been worth it for them to refund me purely for their customer service reputation. I actively steer people away from these guys now. Not a good service, use a local Indy for a *** instead.

Good inspections, but poor customer service. Out of three ********************* ordered, two were scheduled very quickly, within 24 hrs and reports received like 1 hr after the inspection. However, the 3rd inspection, which hasn't happened yet, was scheduled 3 days out from day of ordered (ordered at about 8pm). Then following day, the dealer said he'd not been called to schedule the inspection yet. I called into customer service. They didn't really take any action, just said they'd leave a note with the inspector. So, it's evening. About 24 hrs after ordering. Still no real confirmation. Also. Another vehicle came up and I bought it tonight. I'd like to notify the inspector to cancel, but there's no way yo leave a msg after hours, not I'm the website, on phone number, or by email.

I purchased a pre-purchase inspection for $219.99 for a used car on 3/23/24 through Lemon Squad. Their website listed someone coming to look at the car on 3/23/24, almost immediately after I set up the appointment. It then was changed to 3/25/24 at 11:45AM at the car dealership. My salesperson called me multiple times on 3/25/24 because no one from Lemon Squad called the dealership nor showed up to complete the service. I called Lemon Squad to discuss and their response was placing my order (#XXXXXX) on hold until I found another car for them to inspect. I stated they missed two appointments and I just wanted a refund. They stated my order/money would have to stay in an on hold status for 90 days at which time I could request a refund. They stated this language was in their terms and conditions (****************************************) which I didnt read anywhere. I want a refund because services were never rendered.

Lemon squad advertised for pre purchase evaluation on used cars. I called them and had it evaluated for $200. The report came back that the car was a good buy and I purchased it. No real major problems. It wasn't long when reality set in and my opinion changed drastically about this company. Complete brake job, front end with tie rods and ball joints, and shocks. Currently I'm at $1000 cost on repairs. I asked myself why wasn't this brought to my attention because of the cost and most important the unsafe repercussions while driving. I spoke with the company thru email, they would not speak to me on the phone and they informed me that all they do is visual inspection. Also they use some type of device to input readings in order to get status of components. The bottom line is I wasn't told that most of this inspection is visual and had i been told I definitely would never have used lemon squad. The whole purpose of a pre purchase inspection is to pull tires, hoist and look underneath. They didn't.

Complete waste of my time and money. It was as though the report was on a different car. None of the gauges worked on the car, it was leaking antifreeze, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid. It is missing pins in the front suspension making the car unsafe to drive. The inspector had given it a clean bill of health. Now I have a big repair bill on a newly purchased car.

    Hello,

We appreciate your feedback. Our reports are reflections of the vehicle at the time of the inspection. Our inspectors do not have lifts for inspecting the underside of a vehicle, but you will be provided with several images from multiple angles at ground level for inspecting leaks.

If the engine was recently reassembled, then leaks may not be apparent at the time of the inspection. If allowed by the owner of the vehicle, we will complete a test drive, but the vehicle will not be running long enough for issues such as leaks to appear. If the report indicates there are no leaks, then there will be images in the report to confirm it. Please check for additional media such as videos which will show the vehicle operating. If you have any questions about your report, please contact us at ***********************************.

    Thank you,

We received our ** inspection report yesterday after over a week of ************ was down righ fradulant. We spoke with the owners of the ** and apparently all they received from the inspector was a time, they were not prepared by the inspector to have the fridge on, the ** connected to water, anything. Because of that, those systems weren't tested at all. The owners also confirmed that the inspector was there for only 30 minutes or less and that the following systems were not tested at all despite them being marked as "good" on the inspection report. - Water - Propane system - Fridge - AC - Furnace - Landing Gear The owners have stated the inspector came, quickly took pictures and left but not test any systems beyond opening the awning and running the slideout in and out. We didn't hire someone to simply take pictures and do the very bare minimum, we already did that. What this inspector did does not qualify as an "inspection" at all in my book. What we received was incredibly superficial and contained details that we already knew from our own visual inspection. Infact, we know of a few BLARING issues that they completely missed. We have hired 4 ** inspectors in the past, including one using Lemon Squad, and they were all far more thorough and detailed than this one. We feel like we basically just threw money away with this inspection, and we still don't have answers on some of the basic systems of the ** (propane, water lines, AC, furnace). We would like a refund on this service since we are going to have to hire a different inspector before purchasing this ** to get any actual answers.
