    When I received a quote from Off the Record, it was stated that the price included legal fees. However, after the case was resolved and I was informed of the final cost, I realized that 'full legal fees' did not cover the fine and court costs.I had initially chosen Off the Record services based on the belief that the total cost would be within my budget. Unfortunately, the unexpected additional expenses have put a strain on my finances. I respectfully requested reimbursement of the $181.75 difference between the quoted price and the final cost. But they responded that had I looked on the website under the 'How it Works' section I would've seen that it was not included. I however feel that when they told me I would get 3 things from them: 1- legal services and advice, 2- your legal fees, 3- peace of mind, there's no reason I should've suspected that there was a reason for me to look in how it works.Additionally, I want to mention that I had contacted other lawyers who provided lower quotes for similar services. However, I chose Off the Record due to the perceived inclusivity of legal fees in the initial quote.

    I am writing to file a complaint against Off the Record App regarding their services for handling an ******** traffic ticket for me. I believe their practices have been misleading and unnecessarily expensive for foreign customers like myself, and I am seeking a refund.I used their services with the understanding that the traffic violation could result in a criminal record. However, I later learned that as a ******** citizen, there would be no record transfer to ******, and the fine remained unchanged. This raised doubts about the necessity of hiring a lawyer.I was also charged for seeking legal advice, which seemed excessive, especially since Off the Record App has a refund policy for ******** citizens.I kindly request the BBB to investigate this matter and consider my refund request for services that did not provide the promised benefits and potentially involved misleading practices.

    I engaged with Off the Record for legal assistance with a traffic violation, and my experience has been deeply unsatisfactory.

    Initially, the company required me, as a ******** citizen, to waive the refund policy that American clients benefit from. This discriminatory practice, seemingly based on nationality, raises serious concerns about fairness and equality in their service.

    Furthermore, the attorney assigned to my case not only failed to fulfill the promised services but also provided misleading information. On October 5th, the attorney informed me that, as a ********, American records do not transfer to ******, rendering my case irrelevant for him. This crucial piece of information was never communicated to me earlier, despite my explicit concern about maintaining a clean record. The attorney accepted my case, took my payment, rescheduled the hearing without my consent, and ultimately failed to appear, resulting in an increased fine of $380 and a notice of potential arrest.

    It's disheartening that Off the Record's customer support defended the attorney's actions, citing legal advice, despite the attorney's failure to appear at my hearing. This experience has not only resulted in financial loss but also eroded my trust in the company's commitment to providing competent legal representation.

    This company advertised money back guarantee for fighting traffic tickets. Ad says we win or your money back. Further language says you get a refund if they do not win and they help you fight your case. My outcome was still a guilty verdict with a plea deal for a reduced sentence and I asked off the record for a refund and they refused. The issue is on my record and negatively effects my record and my career. I went to off the record because they advertised we win or you get your money back. They are lieing to consumers for there own profit and taking advantage of consumers.

    I hired a attorney trough this app which they charged me $555.00 for a ticket hearing and they didnt showed up to the court, they dont answer emails, phone calls regarding of this situation This is my first time having a traffic ticket in my life and I thought i need attorney to resolve or help me to resolve this matter which causes me to find out guilty, this is unacceptable and unbelievable

    Company refused to honor thier own Money Back Guarantee. My account and case show as eligible according to ***** terms but customer service refuses to honor it. By using this company the cost of my ticket INCREASED they claim that will not happen and that is thier company values.

    My case has been on going for nearly a year with nothing but penalties for my ticket not being paid when I was instructed by my attorney that he was working on getting me an extension I never asked for. I simply asked for my paperwork. Which he doesnt have because he probably never showed up to court which seems to be a theme with this lawyer based on reviews. My case was supposedly lost but speed reduced thus allowing traffic school. Wheres the paperwork so I can pay it? Why wasnt I told about this until it was too late. Now I have penalties and soon to be in collections messing up my great credit. ****** continues to string me along saying hes working on it. Has yet to respond after saying Im speaking to the clerk today that was nearly 3 weeks ago. Meanwhile Ive gotten another notice of the failure of payment. Reached out to customer service for the second time today. The first time they simply contacted the lawyer in which he said Ill be contacting you by the end of the day didnt hear from this guy until 4 days later. What a joke this lawyer is. I want a refund plus late fees Ive compiled on the ticket as of now and I want my judgement summary so I can take care of this and put this behind me. And I want it immediately before this goes to collections.

    first of all off the record is horrible about answering calls every time i call its a long wait last night when clock hit 9am EST the call automatically dropped after waiting 15 mins on the phone to talk to someone i was very upset.i received a speeding ticket and i wanted to have some legal assistance with reducing it i have a great driving record. They matched me with first attorney he told me the price changed from $350 to $550 which i didn't agree to then they found another attorney this attorney agreed to the price told me to sign some paperwork that's not required then told me to take a drivers improvement class and do community service before even going to court i wanted to fight the ticket. they are not helpful wont give me a refund because "the attorney has filed paperwork" which is nonsense their money back guarantee is BS i would like a refund

    I booked services on march 6th I reached out 2 weeks later to no response I just reached out again another week later and no response I called the customer service line and they refused to give me a refund Had to file a chargeback on my CC

    I requested service on February 4th. After making a payment I saw stuff online that led me to believe this is not a legitimate way to get the ticket dismissed more than what I can accomplish on my own. On February 4th I contacted my CC company to put a hold on the payment since there is no way to stop a payment through OTR. On Feb 24th OTR notified me there was a dispute filed. On March 8th I was notified the court day had been moved from what was originally on the ticket. I assume its the attorneys way of securing work being done on the case. I havent received any response from OTR or the attorney. I just want a refund and I want to handle the ticket on my own.

    *** contacted me after I submitted my last complaint trying to get a hold of them. I put a stop charge with my CC company after I saw many reviews claiming the business was a scam. Many people were duped out of their money. The website claims to win or money back. What they fail to mention is to them winning means anything other than the just paying the ticket entirely. So if they can get you traffic school plus pay the fine they win. They owe you nothing. I can accomplish that on my own. I was contacted by 1 lady who talked down on me for several minutes and didnt understand why I would cancel. Then I received another call from OTR and they tried to extort me for $25 saying if I didnt pay that I they would send it to collections. Definitely dont trust these people.

    Lets see they lie about their money back guarantee because they lost my ticket didn't get the points reduced ticket still went on my record which is a loss in anyone's book but not the way they see it. They got a fine reduction but a fine reduction is still a loss because points when on my driving record. So i would like a full refund form them because i now have to pay the court house too. Points that were not reduced is a loss so they should refund. They are not a fair company. They lie to you with mount back guarantee.
