I hired a company named ABC Legal to serve legal pappers to two Defendants. The company dragged their feet advising me it was in The sheriffs hands. Then they imformaed that one defendants address was incorrect and they had a address that could be served so I had to pay again. So I did. They charged me $135.00 dollars three (3) due to new address. Then the company Said they were returning my money as they were not able to serve the two Defendants. I was a bit upset as this is very unprofessional and has caused me problems with the courts as everything is time sensitive and I now have to ask the courts to allow for a new return address etc. And on top Of all this misconduct they only returned two (2) out of the three (3) charges of $135.00 therefore they still owe me $135.00 and refuse to answer me on line or in account and I can not find a phone number for the company and I need my money refunding as now they have enjoyed my interest on the money not to mention I need the money for medications etc. The two person I wanted served ****** j ****** ***** R Steel My account name : Thistles Please help encourage this company to return my money as it was them who denied service after having taken my money. Service request was provided and a message was sent through their message system that the address may be incorrect because the one I was trying to put in wouldnt populate. They were informed that an alternate address was the work address. Service request was submitted on a Friday. Now where does their website say that you wont be able to contact the process server outside of business hours even though that make service attempts outside of business hours. The attempted to serve subject on a WEEKEND at the work address without calling to see if the subject even worked on the weekend. Before they even made service attempts at the work address, messages were sent that an alternate address was believed to be the correct service address to obtain service. They still served at the work address wasting a service attempt. After paying for service at the originally requesting residence the actual address was discovered it was submitted with photos of the house with house number and vehicles. Although the service address was changed to the correct address and the request for a refund was denied, the photos and vehicles uploaded for the alleged correct and final address were actually that of the changed address after the work address attempt. Despite not attempting service at the final address with supporting photos as they stated, they attempted to act like they had and then requested an alternate address which of course would require additional payment.Initial Complaint

Sent service request to ABC Legal on March 28th, 2025 2- service attempts we made April 1st- 1 minute apart Someone attempted to serve person through a ring camera, which is unacceptable service A new server was assigned on April 24th She attempted service on April 28th and was successful On May 5th, 2025 I sent a message through ABC Legal asking why we still didn't have the proof of service back and they replied stating they needed a "wet ink signature"It is now May 14th and we still do not have proof of service back so I called them at ************ and the lady was not helpful at all. The second I mentioned reporting them to the BBB she stated they could no longer help me and couldn't contact me any further, meaning we would not get our Proof of Service that we've been waiting on. A process server for abc legal has been by my house. Multiple times hes not rang doorbell or knocked. Twice hes left copies of legal documents barely taped to our door. Once I found them in the front yard. Someones personal information could have been used by anyone who saw them. I received a filed Default Judgment in a District Court case. After, receiving this Default Judgment via mail, I went onto the Court website to find out that a Complaint and Summons was filed with the Court. ABC Legal, and/or the Plaintiffs' Attorneys filed a signed Affidavit of Service saying that I was personally serve by an ABC Legal Process Server. I was not served in person or by any means from anyone, the Affidavit of Service does not state my legal name. The process server "declared under penalty and perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing is true and correct". The information on the Affidavit is incorrect and not true, ABC Legal and/or its associates did not do their due diligence which then resulted in the Defendant not being made aware of any legal proceedings against them. Defendant was not able to respond or prepare for any defense and in turn has caused adverse outcomes, such as financial penalties, a Default Judgment filed and other possible legal obligations.Initial Complaint

Abc legal is pointlessly delaying a large amount of litigation I have to file by demanding $75 every time. In the confused mind of their staff, the $75 represents some complex authorization from some higher power rather than a pointless ******* has also confirmed that they do not follow the law and will ignore any court orders I issue to compel service.Tell abc to come up with a reasonable solution such as authorize rather than charge the $75 and don't pointlessly cost me money to force me to move to another process server.Initial Complaint

A gross mishandling of a standard service, including lying about addresses and dates, and obfuscating the status of my case by saying it was being reviewed by compliance--for no discernable reason--for over three days.
