    Process server ********************* was hired to serve me with a summons in *******, **. The documents were left on the ground in front of my residence with no attempt to serve them. My mother, who lives with me, found them outside when she went outside to go to the trash bin.Server ****** wrote statements that if I'm being nice would call "inaccuracies", if not so nice, would call "lies" - indicating that the documents were served to me, personally. They stated I opened the door, tried to say I didn't live here and close the door in the server's face, but that a neighbor confirmed my identity to them and I reluctantly accepted the documents. None of these things happened. I never appeared at the door - I was working from home that day and did not leave my room until after work, hours later. Neither my mother or I had any contact with the process server. The documents lay on the ground for anybody to peruse and read, violating my privacy.I opted not to file a Motion to Quash because I felt it pointless, since I knew all that would do is get the people suing me to hire a different process server who would do it correctly. However, these unethical actions need to be dealt with. It's a moot point for my case because I've already responded to the complaint, which means I can't file a Motion to Quash on service grounds now. Since I've done this business this favor, the least they can do is investigate the actions of the server.Perhaps I'm overreacting and the server went to the wrong unit, but even that is concerning since the numbers are on the door. But I do not appreciate being misrepresented as a deadbeat who tried to lie his way out of getting served. Had he knocked on the door, I would have accepted the documents and acknowledged service - I'd been tipped off it was coming from lawyers who sent me advertisements in the mail.

    Your person came to my door and asked a lot of questions about a friend of mine who is undergoing cancer surgery and has moved to another state to stand a chance of survival. I told him i could not commit to delivering her deceased mom's paperwork to receive her inheritance. As he showed me the papers which I read and thats how I knew what they were about. He was mentioning a lawsuit. This is not a lawsuit, its a call to those who must receive part of the estate. He made a note of my name and dropped it on my mailbox as he left. It is illegal to leave documents with a person where the recipient of the legal document is not the one for whom it was intended.Please deliver DOCUMENT to INTENDED RECIPIENT OF LEGAL DOCUMENT.Or RETURN OR NOTIFY sender.

    This company is super shady. First of all they have no telephone customer service to speak of. Second, they have no response email to speak of, only weird creepy hippy-like emails that you have to obtain in roundabout ways like ********************************** and ************************************ Third these people purposefully send idiot imbecile process servers who deliberately fail to serve your recipients when confronted with the weakest of reasons, just so they can charge your credit card without authorization for second, third, fourth attempts, at $75 a pop, even when you tell them to cease and desist from charging your card without permission, or just "drop and mail" the legal papers. Out of 5 defendants they have successfully served exactly zero in one week of this BS. When you write to them complaining about this behavior, they email you some passive-aggressive "how are we doing email" wherein you respond with the complaint, and you are then hit with an "auto response" gaslighting email stating "we are sorry we let you down" with a sad face making you feel like you are nuts. But then they go ahead and charge your credit card again, without authorization or permission. Someone needs to investigate these con-artist criminals and shut them down.

    *** Legal has various avenues to connect to customer support if there is ever a question or issue on an order. For example, *** Legal has a main phone line available at ************. It is answered as expected during normal business hours. There is also an option to leave a voicemail to receive a call back. While ********************** appears to take umbrage with our email addresses, we offer these among many others. If ********************** is unable to locate a preferred address, he can also use the general inquiry form on our website and it will be routed accordingly. There is also the option on the customers online profile to open complaints regarding specific jobs.

    As mentioned in a previous response, *** Legal does not charge per attempt, we charge per party to be served. The *** support team attempted to reach out via phone and email multiple times to assist with his complaints regarding service. In an effort to appease this customers concerns and any inconvenience he may have experienced attempting to utilize our customer support resources, several refunds were processed around the end of September 2023. Should he require further assistance, he can reach out directly to *** Legals in-house legal department at ************************************************.

    I am rejecting this response because they lie. The fact remains that they charged our credit card $75 without permission, authorization or notice many times after their loser failed service attempts like on Friday night at 9 PM when only a lunatic would be at their work place, and many other evil and incompetent acts. And they didnt credit or refund us voluntarily, we merely filed credit card charge backs and both our bank (and theirs) clearly agreed with us. Avoid these losers like the plague.

    I hired ABCLegal to serve a complaint on June 21. I provided the address of the defendant that is listed on the defendant's corporate filings. The servicer claimed that it could not be served because there was no unit number on the address. Based on that, I ordered multiple investigations and had them re-attempt service several times. In total, they billed more $235. After all of those failed, I was able to confirm that the original address did not need a unit number and that the business was clearly located in the address provided. In short, the server simply didn't bother to look. I called ABCLegal to request a refund because the server's error necessitated the subsequent investigations. ABCLegal outright refused. The reference number is REF-********.

    ABCLegal has responded that they will refund the investigation fee, but not the subsequent service fee. I have contested that -- I would not have needed to pay for a subsequent service attempt had the first one not been defective.

    I've worked with dozens of process servers in more than 15 states over many years, and I'm a licensed process server in ****************. I hired ABC Legal Services to solve an easy problem. I needed to have them serve a CEO and his company in another state each with a summons and complaint. Now ABC Legal Services is the problem. They've assigned at least nine different people to this elementary task -- a different person every few days -- and only one seemed to understand service of process, and she was misdirected by others who didn't. None of the others seemed to know what they're doing or what anyone else at ABC Legal Services did before, even though they created a whole online platform for that at great expense.Now I'm going to have to hire another company to serve this company that I asked ABC Legal Services to serve with a summons and complaint almost THREE months ago. So far, I've been charged $340 for four separate service attempts and gotten legal service on exactly one person. Let me repeat: I've been charged $340 for service on one person, and after almost three months, they haven't served the other party to this lawsuit, a company that's easy to find and easy to serve -- for anyone but a process server for ABC Legal Services.I've had enough. Don't ever give ABC Legal Services your money because when it comes to service of process, their main line of business since ****, they **** like a bucket of ticks.

    This problem has not been resolved. The company sent me a carefully worded, opaque letter that apologized but promised to do nothing to fix this problem. See the attached. They did NOT "serve both servees" as they claimed in their message to you on BBB, and I told them repeatedly why that was so. I had to hire another process server to finish the job. I get the impression from reading various complaints about this company, including on BBB, that they engage in this kind of dishonest dealing quite often.

    They say, "Our records indicate that both servees were served, so our customer support team is taking a look and will reach out to you." They have not "reached out to me" with any news about this, other than sending me a letter that says they'll look into this. I don't want them to "reach out," I want them to cancel the charge for a service that they didn't provide.

    I've dealt with hundreds of businesses over the last 10 years, including dozens of process servers. I've never had one out-and-out lie like this.

    This business has not addressed my complaint. They write, "Were sorry that you were unhappy with the service. We have attempted to contact you multiple times and left voicemails. Please see attached for the two proofs of service." They have not "attempted to contact [me] multiple times and left voicemails." They sent me one form letter and have NEVER left me a single voicemail message. They're lying. I told them right from the start that their proof of service on the corporation was invalid under **************** law. That's what this is all about, and they know it.

    Don't close this complaint. I'm not at all satisfied with the company's response. They refuse to do what I asked them to do and what they claim they did: legally serve a company. What they did is illegal under **************** law, specifically RCW 4.28.080(10), and they know it. They tried to serve a company at an unrelated residential address. I told them right from the start that they can't do that under RCW 4.28.080(10). They refuse to refund my money for what was illegal service that won't work in a court of law.

    I paid them to serve documents. I gave them the hours that the individual would be at what location and they followed my instructions only once out of 3 times. I paid for expedited service and they made an attempt within 48 hours but to the wrong address. I will never use them again.

As stated by our customer support team in previous messages, we cannot guarantee adherence to specific times outside of the time of day diligence requirements from the courts.     I paid for service that said it would be attempted to serve within 5 days. One day before my hearing that I needed it served, they still had not even attempted to serve the papers, more than 6 business days after I placed the order.

    This company had failed to serve my tenants the proper document because the process server was unable to locate the unit. She had even went to the wrong property. I had paid for express delivery $140 to serve a piece of paper, and the process server was unable to do her job.

    Hello,I paid $95 to ABC Legal Services to serve court documents from my home country to my ex husband on 11/29/2022. And my court date was on 03/01/2023. My attorney contacted with me that judge decide to postpone the date due to there was no information received from *** Legal. We dont know if they attempted to serve papers to my ex husband or not. This caused my case to be delayed and I have to pay additional court& attorney fees. When I call *** Legal, no one available to take the call. I want them to reach me via email to provide me an explanation/proof of serving attempts so I can present that in court at my home country.
