Can I leave a 0-star rating? Guess not. 1-star it is.I recently gave ABClegal a job - actually, four jobs - serving summons & complaint on four California defendants in the same case. They got just ONE of them right. (Well, almost right, they didn't check the same boxes on the Proof of Service as were checked on the summons, but that was easily fixed.)For Defendant #2, where the *** form line 3b CLEARLY says "Person . .. served (specify name and relationship to the party named in item 3a)," the process server wrote "****** ****" - no job title. For Defendant #3, the process server wrote ********** no full name, no job title. For Defendant #4, the process server wrote "***** ********, General Coordinator." Except you can't serve a "General Coordinator." I questioned it, maybe it could be "General Manager"? Nope, the person sits at a desk outside someone else's office. So a fancy form of "Secretary."Incidentally, it was three different process servers - all (somehow) licensed - and all three apparently don't know how to serve papers and properly complete the *** form.Process servers have one job. Actually two: serve papers, and complete a Proof of Service. It's unbelievable that I have to explain this to ABClegal.ABClegal should have just apologized, but they're standing by their process servers, telling me that they're not going to re-serve unless/until the court rejects my Request for Entry of Default. For one of the disputes, they absolutely refused to do anything and closed the case. For the other two, they said they'd look into it, but I didn't hear back for more than a month. When I requested refunds, they said they'd "review" my requests.

I provided services for this company as a process server and I left after a month. The reason? The expectations from them are unreasonable..they expect the server to make all the copies of the documents to be server which they do reimburse .08 per copy BUT not the cartridge or copy machine maintenances. They also won't pay you unless you have proven sufficient due diligence in serving has been proven. This could add up to return visits of over 6 times ! And we only get paid for the actual proof of attempted serve or serves. They also stated a fee that at the time of serving the individual my pay reflected half of what was listed. They provided some lame excuse. In business that could be considered false advertising ..to them ? They justify it.There is no direct support as mentioned when I first started. Someone was supposed to work with me if I had any issues for a month or so. That person was not around and very difficult to reach online. Another issue is the lack of concern they have for the privacy of the documents being served. They don't want the documents in an envelope.. they said just hand them a stack of papers..That seems unethical to me..I simply found this company to be very inadequate on so many areas. The pay for process servers with this company is extremely below minimum wage..

ABC Legal Services, LLC should be avoided due to the unethical and potentially criminal behavior of their process server. The server allegedly engaged in criminal trespass by entering the residence of an individual who had no legal action against them that warranted service. When the resident did not answer the door, the process server reportedly called in a false police report alleging child neglect, seemingly to escalate the situation and involve law enforcement in harassment. The police later confirmed that the report had no merit. This behavior is deeply troubling and reflects a lack of integrity and professionalism. I cannot recommend their services. When victim of this harrassment attempted to call to report, ****** answered refusing to help nor provide her full name

Very unreliable, unprofessional and unpredictable. My case was never servedprobably because I paid for their basic "SLOW" plan. Honestly, if youre willing to spend just 50% more, youll likely see real movement, clearer follow-up, and maybe even a hint of professionalism after escalation to management. ***, if you choose their cheapest option, expect cheap service. They treat it like a favor, not a job.

They are scam artists. Don't use them under any circumstance. I paid the flat fee for rush service, which on their website is advertised as 3-5 service attempts. They went to the address ONE time. Whoever opened the door lied and said the person doesn't live here anymore (I have a Deed showing the owner of the home is the person I am looking to serve.) Without even contacting me, they canceled the job. I reach out to them and explained that the owner of the home is who I am trying to serve and I need more attempts done at the same address. They said they can do that but I need to pay the rush service fee all over again. I said why? I already paid for 3-5 attempts and you guys only did one. It's the same person, same address, nothing is being changed. They kept saying because it's their policy and they already closed the job.... I thought the representative I was speaking with was just a moron. Come to find out, it's the whole company. Even after speaking to the supervisor, no one would help me. Ended up having to put a stop payment through my credit card. They're fraudsters. I can see from the other reviews here that they've done the same thing to others. I have also reported them as fraud to the BBB.

ABC Legal are not on your side.I submitted an order ($95) for them to serve papers and I didnt quite have the correct address. They give you 5 attempts to serve the papers. So with 1 of 5 attempts completed, they informed me that they need a new address.Upon providing the correct address to the SAME neighborhood within a small fraction of a mile, they charged me $95 again. I didnt change anything with my case, the paperwork or who the papers were going to.I contacted customer service and was informed that they didnt care that they only made 1 of 5 attempts. Any time you update the address, even if it is to the same neighborhood, they will treat it as a new order.Their business is structured to extract as much money as possible. They do not care about serving our needs and growing into the future. There are so many other places that will do a simple address update to provide you with the remaining service that you paid for if you have a circumstance like me which I am sure many people do.I recommend to avoid them and use someone else that actually wants to work with you to provide value.

Company is very unprofessional. Do not use them for service of process. They charged me an additional fee without notice after emailing me and asking for a new address. I had already paid th for the service previously. After 1 attempt they sent an email saying it was bad address and asked me to provide another address. There is no way to reach them online. They dont respond to messages sent via email. Do not use this company. They use deceptive business practices. I dont know if the process servers are in on it but of course they stand to make additional money when this company scams a customer.

I was improperly served a court summons. I have been out of the country since 2023. On February 20th, one week after ******* SPV filed a lawsuit against me for an unpaid credit card debt, I was apparently served papers in person by the process server named "***********************" (************************************). This server declared under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that his service was true and correct. This could not be further from the truth. I officially moved out of this physical location on January 5th, 2024. "***********************" showed up at this location on February 20th and served some unknown person "with an accent" (I do not have any accent, I am American, born and raised and do not speak any other languages) who closely resembled me. This person tried to explain politely (according to court documents) that he was not the correct person and that he has no relationship with me whatsoever. It seems that this ****** tried to racial profile me based on my name and left without verifying with the property management the person living at this address. I will be filing a civil law suit.

This company is terrible and caused me extreme damage. They did not fill out the paperwork correctly and when I called to adjust it they put me into severe emotional distress instead of just saying we will update to clarify what occured on the service. Instead I was put into sever emotional distress. ***** is the key person who caused all the damage and should not be allowed to hurt people the way she highly highly injured me, I would have paid 1k gladly to avoid the distress alone she caused and another $500 to actually of had it served correctly. They left me in a really really bad position which could have been solved with a little consideration of saying we will fill in the paper correctly we apologize instead she saw it was distressing me and antagonisticlh and intentionally further caused my distress
