      We have had issues with window since the house was built in 2020. When the wind blew it was coming through the window with enough force to blow out a match, we have also had snow indoors in the track of the window. Milgard sent a someone out to check the windows and his solution was to caulk them. We now have water coming in the window when it rains. They sent a tech out again and he found a crack in the frame that is causing the issue. This went unnoticed with 2 different techs in the past and almost went unnoticed this last visit. I believe it has leaked from install, but as we have wood windowsill's covering our drywall it has gone unnoticed until now as I believe with our harsh ******* the crack has gotten bigger and is now letting in more weather. Milgard refuses to honor the warranty, claiming it must have been damaged in shipping, or by the installers and should have been a warranty claim then and not been installed. I was on site for the entire build of my home, and I can guarantee that the window was not damaged by the installers. It has been a defective window from the start and whether or not they want to admit it, it is a manufacture defect and should be covered under warranty. Milgard knows that these windows have been a problem since install and has tried to put a band-aid on the problem since the beginning and they are looking for any excuse to not stand behind the product.

      I purchased several doors and windows from Milgard in 2019 and had them professionally installed by a licensed contractor that partners with Milgard. In August of 2023, my entire sliding glass door spontaneously exploded. The glass was in one large shattered sheet, with no point of breakage. It just combusted. I was standing in my kitchen and heard a pop. This door was covered under warranty so I contacted Milgard to begin the warranty process. It is now December and Milgard has cancelled on THREE of their appointments to replace the door. They have been leading me on since August! I now believe this warranty is a scam. The door takes up my entire dining room and it now gets down to freezing at night, and my family and I do not have insulation during these winter months. I feel that 6 months is an egregious amount of time to force a customer to wait and my next (4th!) appointment is now in January. This warranty is not being on honored and seems like false advertising.

      I contacted Milgard in early July regarding issues with a sliding glass door and chipping paint around the exterior of other windows. The windows and doors installed in 2016 are covered under their warranty. I was assigned a case # ******** on July 10. I was told "screens aren't covered" however, the issue it seems is the door has warped and changed shape, making it difficult to open and close the screen. I replaced other windows this summer and that was the feedback from my recent professional installation when he examined this door. The screen is fine. The warping is a problem.I've been told by Milgard that they have assigned a painter vendor to paint the chips--but they won't tell me who the vendor is or what is the time frame. No reply. I'm left with no information or date.

      Thank you for getting Milgard's attention and they have offered a paint company to repair the chipping frames this spring--a longer time frame than I'd hoped for, but I will be happy to the warranty repair. 
      I also mentioned the sliding glass door issue--the screen is problematic due to the warped track in the door. Some are saying it was installed incorrectly. Now the threshold has loosened and water leaked. Milgard swiftly replied saying "we don't fix screens" but the screen is fine- it's the warped track that's preventing it from sliding. I believe Milgard should send someone out to assess the sliding door. I tried contacting Milgard again and haven't received a reply. I sent them photos and a video. Please assist. There is a 10-year warranty and they should at minimum send someone here to assess the issue. 

      I appreciate your assistance with the second issue that I included in my original request for help.

      I purchased Milgard windows through a Milgard certified installer that I found on their website (*******************). I ordered the windows on May 24th, in part, due to a Tax Refund Promo being run by Milgard. The conditions of this promo was for orders placed between April 3 and May 31. The value of this promotion for me is $770. I took the earliest installation date, and installation was completed on August 2. The order number, which is required to register for the rebate was provided to me in an owners resources packet upon completion. The registration window for the tax refund promo closed on July 28. I filled out the registration anyways and reached out to Milgard directly, leaving a voicemail with somebody named ***** who I was told oversees promotions for the region. I was never contacted. I have attempted to work with my installer to seek resolution and was informed I was not the only customer in this position and was CCd on an emails in both September and October to ****************** and ***********************, the Milgard sales representatives for ******************* with no reply. I would like to see Milgard honor this rebate as I missed the registration window for factors that were only in the control of Milgard and its installer. The registration window closing as quickly as it did makes me feel like the promo is a tactic used to bait consumers into purchasing a product, only to later find out they will not be receiving the promotion.

      Third service request was sent to Milgard window and door this morning, case #********. Last two requests were sent to Milgard in Apple 2023 without an answer. A third party followed up twice with no answer. 

      Regardless Milgard may receive or may not receive last two service requests, they are bound by full life time guarantee to repair or replace defective kitchen windows.

      Milgard Case # ********. Purchased multiple Windows and 1 door for a vacation home located at ***** Breaker Reach ********* ***** in 2019. Multiple problems with defective door (lifetime warranty) that has been repeatedly addressed but they have failed to fix/replace the DISCONTINUED ************* door due to leaks, improper fit , wrong hardware etc since installation. REPEATED calls are needed over several months and now years, very difficult to get customer service and then it is still unresolved. Door mostly is either unable to open or pops open going from kitchen to our outside deck. They constantly don't have the proper hardware and or can't fix it, they have trouble getting parts, replacement for a discontinued model. 2 plus hour waits on phone, often leave voicemail and they mostly don't call back, even the next day. They say they will resolve it but they don't have the parts for a discontinued product so I asked for a comparable current model that is available. Terrible customer service and lack of resolution. Service Mgr ******************************* refuses to call us despite numerous requests. IF I need to I will file a lawsuit, although I have not yet. Milgard has all the details about the purchase via dealer ************************ in ******* including measurements, Pacific ***** won't service it anymore because Milgard pays too low rate for the service call, they refer us directly to Milgard. After repeatedly waiting several months for service or a replacement doorS or parts, they are always still wrong size part or replacement door is defective. They can't get parts for discontinued Essence model anymore but haven't offered any replacement which is current and available! Windows are alright overall, but door is defective, poorly functioning. They won't ever resolve this without your intervention or me going to court to *** them. Claim is for door only $1800 with tax (2019 pricing). SEE Milgard Case # which they have on file.

      I see the response from **** at Milgard but the problem was NOT resolved in 2020.  It is still ongoing but will hopefully be FINALLY resolved with this latest replacement door ordered by *****, their service manager.  It still is not yet received or installed as it is being shipped from ****** ** to **********, then ***** and then installed at ********* **.  Although we have spent literally 4 years dealing with numerous missteps and failures by Milgard, I am hoping THIS TIME they will get it resolved.  I finally managed to get through to someone who is monitoring the multiple problems incurred with this faulty door.

      BBB: Please don't close out my case just yet, I will update you hopefully soon IF Milgard finally gets this defective door replaced correctly.  Milgard case # is 06159640.

      Still not resolved despite Milgard claiming it was in 2020-21.  Its been a never ending battle since 2019 due to multiple attempts and failures to deliver and install a proper replacement door with the proper hardware and not being damaged SEVERAL times. Supposedly they are trying again on Dec 4 2023.  It still is not resolved.

      Milgard came yesterday (12/4) and it appears that finally the door problems are resolved after multiple problems, attempts and 4 long years.  Hopefully this door will finally be the resolution for this issue.  We will see how this current door holds up to the elements such as rain and if it will be functioning properly in the near future. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

      We bought a new home and it came with Milgard windows and supposedly there is a warranty. Our window seal failed. They have been out twice and are planning to come out again because each time its a different reason why they can't fix the window. I really dont think they will honor their warranty. Been getting the run around for 4 months now. Terrible customer service. I tried calling a manager and left a message and they never got back with me. Each time we call its an hour plus to wait for help.

      We purchased our home in March 2023. The seller's realtor provided us with correspondence from Milgard regarding warranty service on 8 windows. The service had been arranged by the previous (original) owner during the warranty period. Work was to be performed July 6. Two days before the scheduled workday Milgard called to say their worker was ill. The service (preposterously) was rescheduled for September 28! On September 26, Milgard called to say the worker had called in and would be unable to do any work for a week! Milgard said they would reschedule and call me. I have not received a call. I attempted to call Milgard using the number they had used to call me. This number was for the company in ********, ******, and they were unable to address the issue. The lady said she would contact the ***************** and I would recieve a call that day. I have receieved no call. It has now been more than six months since the case was opened. The windows are disgustingly opaque as seen from both inside and outside. Case number is ********

      First, the writer alleges that I have received an email confirmation of the new date from Milgard.  I have received nothing from Milgard by phone, email, or other means (except the reponse to BBB).

      Second, and most important, my complaint has to do with not only two casual cancellations but also the inordinate time to settle this warranty issue.  The complaint was registered by Milgard sometime before March 2.  The new (and third) date of November 30 would be more than six months since Milgard registered this simple warranty issue.  The delay is unacceptable as are the two cancellation.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Their notification was not sent to me but to the previous owner who originally filed the request for warrany coverage.  Milgard has my contact information since they have contacted me about the two previous cancellations. But they used the previous owner's contact to "notify" me. 

      I cannot see how anyone would be satisfied with this response.  The warranty claim was filed and accepted by the company sometime before March 2, 2023.  Two dates for rectification were given.  The first was canceled with no call or notification from Milgard.  The second was canceled and we were notified by phone two days prior to the scheduled work.  The third date is now allegedly set for November 30, 2023, more than seven months from the time that Milgard accepted their warranty responsiblility.  Both cancellations were allegedly because a worker was indisposed.  We cannot accept that a company as large as Milgard does not have more backup capacity.  

      No custumer on earth would be satisfied by this company's ***** cancellations and reschedules extending far into future.  No customer on earth would want to do business with a company that shows casual indifference to its clients.  I can see no reason to be satisfied with Milgard's reponse and would advise others, if asked, to avoid this company.

      Purchased 3 trinsic patio door each $5500+ for new home, the attached metal peices to bottom threshold coming off due to glue failure.       I bought over 20+ windows and doors (******* (27 windows & 2 doors)) from Milgard and got those installed, but some of the sliding doors are not opening smoothly. I asked for their warranty services to come and take a look but the representative told me it's not covered (from **********), while their service person said they could when last time they were here. I'm not happy with their warranty, and basically, it covers nothing. I need them to come and fix the issue.
