      Im extremely disappointed with Banfield Pet Hospital located inside ******** in *********I brought my Yorkie **** in on June 25 for two scheduled vaccinations. Right after the visit, she developed two large lumps at the injection sites. By June 27, one of the lumps had turned into a painful open wound. I contacted the clinic immediately, but they refused to see her the same day, despite the fact that my dog was lethargic and clearly in pain. The earliest they could offer was an appointment the next morning Saturday, June ***** the visit, they offered to clean the wound and give her medication but charged me $380 for treating a condition they themselves had caused. I refused their services and decided never to come back.I contacted their support right away, on June 28, requesting to cancel my membership immediately due to this horrible experience. I got no response. I even left a review on their website still no response. Only today, when I reached out again, I was told I would need to pay almost $400 more to cancel my Wellness Plan early.This is absolutely unacceptable. No responsibility, no support, no compassion. I do not recommend Banfield to anyone. They failed my dog and then tried to charge me hundreds of dollars to fix their own mistake.Sincerely, a heartbroken and angry pet parent.

      The vet doesn't even recommend tests, the computer program does before the vet even examines the pet. Their poor attention also cost my prior dog their life.

      Hi! Can you post some or all of the below review. Its for how s***** that vet was, where I took ******. Post this please on their reviews. is was by far the worst vet experience Ive ever had. I brought my dog to Banfield Hospital at ************* to get tested for diabetes. Dropped off my dog at 930am and was told he should be ready around 1/2pm. My dog was there for about eight hours and I strongly suspect my dog was in a crate for most of that time, alone, with minimal care or attention.The receptionist was completely unprofessional, constantly repeating Im only the receptionist anytime I asked for an update or basic information. After an entire day, when I finally picked my dog up, no one even spoke to me about the results. I asked to speak to the vet, and was told they were too busy and the clinic was understaffed. I would have to wait longer than I had already waitedBeing understaffed is not an excuse to ignore communication with pet owners, especially when youre dealing with a newly diagnosed condition like diabetes. You go to a vet to get answers not to be handed a packet printed from ****** with no explanation or plan of care. I couldve done that myself at ******* make matters worse, I was told the vet, Dr. ******** was going on vacation for two weeks immediately after. No follow-up, no contact, nothing.I walked away feeling helpless and angry, with no resources or guidance, and my dog who had been crated alone all day was stressed and still untreated. He is now in great hands and going to a legit vet who cares.Never again. Total waste of time, money, and trust. Go anywhere else.

      I was fraudulently renewed for the wellness plan. I explicitly told the front desk rep that I DID NOT want to renew my plan and that I had already cancelled auto renew in the app. She insisted that she simply needed to make an administrative change to the plan so that my dog could have her teeth cleaned. I again insisted that I was not interested in continuing services with Banfield, and that I was only there to complete any services already paid for my pets under the plan. She again confirmed that she was not renewing my plan.
      When I came to pick up my pets, I found that I was signed up for another year and they told me that I could not cancel with them at the location— that I had to call a different number. I called and was refused cancellation. The manager at the location (******** *** ******* **** ******* insisted that I knew I signed up for the plan and is also refusing cancellation. She was obviously not present to witness what her employee told me multiple times.
      I tried to resolve this with corporate and they refused to help.

      I recently moved back to NC. I used 3 different Banfield in Charlotte NC. I've been with Banfield 15 years. I noticed that money packages began to add up with every wellness plan. I cancelled this Vet hospital finally. Times are to expensive to starve.

      Was told by 3 different people several times their promo for the kitten wellness was ONLY *****; I asked each time if everything on their promo flyer they handed me was included for total cost of ***** and wad told yes each time. Set up appointment for our new stray kitten; i asked before the appointment to pay ahead of time & was told that it would be at the end. During the appointment, was told we wouldn't meet the vet and had to leave her for an hour...OK. Get to the end where we're trying to pick her up and pay, they don't bring her out; I'm trying to pay the ***** and all of a sudden it's ***** a month for 11 months. Now I HAVE NO CHOICE but to agree this even they all lied by with-holding information and have the feeling that they'll outright refuse to give her back unless I do so. I know this is call a vet lien; I call it extortion. We decide to just deal with it as best as we can.Had another appointment that was basically forced on us as we were originally told we could bring in a stool sample to see what parasite our kitten had; told these people more than once we were on a very tight budget and can't afford their treatment options & would go the low cost place for treatment instead. Argument ensued for at least 30 minutes with us being told WE SHOULD CONSIDER REHOMING which is totally inappropriate. My ASD son is already attached to the *********** don't toss pets away like kleenex. The vet tech did backtrack afterwards but the bad taste of that is already set in. All bc we won't buy their very expensive treatments on top of their "wellness plan". We will deal with paying and using the their wellness plan as we obviously now have no choice; I read they make it impossible to actually cancel w/out s******* you over. We afterwards will never come back and will let others know this whole system is nothing more than a mob type scam. & no, we don't want to s/w a "customer advocate" as we feel it will do absolutely nothing to actually resolve what happened.

      BILLING COMPLAINT: My pet's bill for his Optimum Wellness Plan is due today. I went on Banfield's website to pay it, but was already charged an overdue fee of $20, because the card on file failed to process at midnight. I called customer service to discuss, and I was told that their bank is charged $20 for failed payment, which is then passed on to customers. 20 bucks? Really? Which bank is this? This is much worse than credit cards.Sure, Banfield should charge something because payment failed the first time (at midnight! Right on the dot at 12:00 AM!). But not 20 bucks! And it seemed to me like I'm paying that extra 20 bucks every month for being a few HOURS late, but still within the due date. Oh, and they cannot reverse the fee because they already did that one time with me. They said it is only allowed one time within a ******* I ended up paying the monthly bill, plus the $20 OVERDUE FEE, when the bill is not overdue yet and I'm still within the due date. I'd say that's greedy! Please read the fine print before getting the Optimum Wellness Plan, because they sure are good at convincing customers to sign up for it.Such a terrible experience!

Per the terms of the Optimum Wellness Plan agreement, Banfield is entitled to a $20.00 fee for each monthly payment that is not processed due to a refusal from the clients financial institution regardless of the reason. If you would like to contact us directly, we may be able to move your billing date to a more workable date if that would help in avoiding these refusals from your financial institution in the future.

      I feel completely robbed by this place. They pushed unnecessary emergency services and procedures on my dog that were clearly not neededjust to pad the bill. It was manipulative and disgusting. This wasnt about care, it was about money. They prey on pet owners in stressful situations, and its absolutely shameful. Do yourselfand your peta favor and stay far away. Get a second opinion before letting them touch your animal. Ill never go back.

      They gave me a health plan for my pet that was supposedly like a ******* subscription I could cancel at any time, and now they want to charge me $400 and sent it to collections because they claim it was a one-year contract. I find this a total disrespect to customer trust, and I cant imagine how many elderly people trust them and get taken advantage of. I was never informed of these terms, and its ridiculous to have a collections account for this. Now they hang up on my calls because they say its not their problem and the collection agency they work with is rude and hangs up too, refusing to help. Im giving one star because I cant give zero.
