Very predatory. My apartment complex caught on fire recently and is completely uninhabitable. I'm really struggling financially and these guys waited until halfway through an exam to tell me that I don't qualify for a free exam and it's going to be $104. They didn't actually tell me anything about my dog. they essentially brought her in, took her to the back for 2 or 3 minutes to give her a rabies shot then came out and said sorry we really can't do anything without a biopsy $300 and we don't care that you are currently homeless trying to find a new home the dogs are homeless one is sick and we're still going to squeeze you for 300 more dollars on top of the $104 that we lied about to get you here. So $104 for a rabies shot and essentially that's it. They really should communicate that better on the phone that if it's some sort of skin lesion or pus filled sack you're going to need a biopsy... I mean I would have saved me $104 that I don't have. They take advantage of you caring for your pet not in a healthy way but in a very predatory way. And they're constantly pushing this amigos company saying that it's low cost and they all parrot it. Wonder what the connection is there. I mean when I was on the phone and I told you my fire situation and do you struggle I was going through you guys could have suggested amigos then but you didn't... Didn't have the nerve to call me at 9:00 a.m. to ask me if everything was okay with my dog... I mean is that an insult? Or are you making fun of me? Clearly you didn't give me any medicine or any information so how are you now calling me at 9:00 a.m. waking everyone up to ask such a asinine question.

Their Optimum Wellness Plan is a SCAM. Even if your pet is no longer with you, you still have to pay the full amount in monthly installments or the lump sum for a year. They pitch it as a "money saving" plan -- AS IF! To make matters worse, they send you to collections if you miss a payment, putting it onto your credit report and tanking your credit score. I never heard a word from them about missing payments (lost credit card) until they sent my balance to collections, were it accrued interest and became more than what the original plan was. Finally, you can pay the balance off at any time, but if you want to cancel the plan, you have to wait to speak to a customer representative who works Pacific hours. Tried to create an online account to manage my plan but no luck there at all. Instead, the system locked me out...

As a practice full of pet lovers and owners, the health and well-being of pets is our top priority.  Optimum Wellness Plans (OWPs) are customized packages of pet care services. Designed to provide annual preventive care to help keep pets healthy, wellness plans include nose-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, parasite control and prevention, professional dental care, 24/7 access to PetChaton-demand support on the Banfield app and more. Better Business Bureau (BBB) Complaint:Ive been a loyal Banfield client for years, always bringing my cat to the ****** **. ***********, ** location and trusting them with his care. On December 1st at 3:30pm, I brought him in when I noticed something was wrong. The vet examined him and said his kidneys were enlarged and she felt a possible cancerous mass. She recommended a blood test, and I said, Please do whatever you have to ***** I gently held him, they drew the blood. About 510 minutes later, the vet returned and said the bill had already reached $315 before the blood test was even processed. She asked how I would pay, and I said, **** me. She replied, Oh, youre not paying today? Then I need to tell them to stop treatment.I was shocked and asked, So youre not going to help my baby? She kept walking.Ive brought my cat to Banfield *********** for years. I trusted them. But when it mattered most, they treated him like a dollar sign, not a living being. No empathy. No compassion. Im still heartbroken. Others deserve to be warned.

I am not sure how this business is still operating with the false promises they give during registration. Before you sign up, you are told the "major benefits" of going with Banfield. One of those is record sharing, and if you cannot get into the clinic you normally go to, you can go to any other Banfield. If that's the case, those records would need to be shared so other vets not familiar can see what's going on and continue the same expectation of care. We have had small run ins over the last almost 5 years of being with their services, but this last one was the final one. The vets and assistants at the **** Rapids location lied to us several times while our dog is being diagnosed with cancer--T-cell lymphoma to be exact. We were told we'd hear back in 1-2 days. Call back 2 days later, results were not in. Called back day 3, was now told that the vet he had seen was only a fill in and no one would be looking out for his records. Was called back 1 hour later with the worst news, but thankfully Dr. ******** listened to my concerns and sent in the referrals that night for oncology. His oncologist then sends them a prescription for his lymphoma and requests them to call me back when it's filled--should be about 30 minutes. Called Banfield that night, no one had checked their fax machine or email all day long. This was sent over before noon, my call was after 4pm. They tried refusing to fill his prescription. Why? No one on site that day specifically saw our dog themselves. These are orders from an oncologist who has had lightyears more training than any bozo at this clinic, and they are not comfortable. My dog is dying, and THEY ARE NOT COMFORTABLE. I can recommend them for getting vaccinations started, but beyond that do NOT trust them with your animal's life--they don't know what they are doing and instead will drop the ball to avoid any blame.

I took my cat yesterday 05/19 to the facility located at *********, my appt was 2PM, after a week waiting for an spot. I know my cat has some sort of sinus infection as she is having trouble to breath, has mucus and sneezing. Also, she has the third eye-lid out so all adds up. The vet asked all the questions I described to my best indicating that all pointed for a sinus infection. She dismissed my comments, instead she came saying it was a tumor and need a CT Scan to confirm, which would be over $2000, or a Xray but that may not be that effective. Xray quote was $900+. I asked if we can start with antibiotics she said we could. She took her back and she administer an antibiotics. I paid $80 for the shot. When came home, I check the antibiotic and what was provided was a skin antibiotic, nothing to do with respiratory infection. She saw how my cat was, she had trouble to breath and she administer something useless and I ended paying $80 for nothing. I came out worse, with bad information, bad treatment and paying for all that. Never again.

Please remember that your pet received a Convenia injection which does typically take 48 hours or so to start working and show results. The *** ointment was provided for wound treatment and to prevent future infections while the wound heals. Wound infections can take time to heal. Banfield Pet Hospital contract has misleading terms, conditions, and unfair charges.
Banfield Pet Hospital forces you into a contract based on the issues of your pet and not telling you and making you understand about their real charges and contract language.
The personal injury comes is when I called Banfield Pet Hospital to Cease and Desist taking money out my account and that I no longer want the services. I am seeing a private doctor. To cancel the services and they told me I have to pay off the $796 dollars for services that I did not get. I asked them to invoice me the final remaining balance then, they told me I have to pay $796 up front. This is illegal. I never got $796 of service and if I did they did not tell me this and I only paid what was told to pay at that time of services. They showed me what it would be, but I didn't have a plan at that time, they helped my dog and then asked me to sign up for the plan.
Private companies do not have the federal right to impose contracts that consumers cannot get out of. The refuse to cease and desist from taking money out my bank account and charge me for late fees or NSF fees on top of the banking fees. This is illegal and stealing from the consumer.
I have asked them to stop taking money out my account and remove my banking information, but they refuse and I had to close my banking account. I need an attorney beasue Banfield Pet Hospital violated my consumer rights to cancel services at any time for any reason.
Today's, businesses like Banfield Pet Hospital get way with murder and the BBB will not stand up for consumers.
Stick with County pet services. Banfield is not the only pet hospital or just don't have no pets. Pet's are expensive.
I am a victim of Banfield Pet Hospital.

Well I see why this place isn't bbb accredited...I canceled my membership (that was verified by phone) due to how I felt my pet was being treated. The attitudes of the staff was something I've never experienced before going to a veterinary. Months later I get a call from a creditor saying I owe Banfield... but I canceled, and was on auto pay. So if I didn't cancel, which banfield later said I didn't, why would payments stop? I've heard of experiences at this location and didn't believe it until I experienced it. They are a sales company disguised as a veterinary. I recommend this place to be avoided by anyone looking for a veterinary. You will find better care else where, maybe a little more money initially, but save you trouble, your money, time, and most importantly, your pet, in the long run
