    I was approached about changing to a different credit card possessing company in Oct 2024. I was told, less fees and no contract . The sales person completed my account set up over the phone with company called Clear Choice. Nov 8, 2024 I received my equipment and had a phone call with the install ****** at that time I asked again if I was lock into a contract....I was told NO. I installed the new system that is linked to my business checking account. I received an email from **** *******, Merchant Experience Specialist for ClearChoice. I started having fees taken directly out of my checking account. I found out later I am lock into a 48 month contract, I contacted **** ******* and told him that I was very unhappy that I and locked into a contract and said I want to cancel, and I had not used the system yet, he would not cancel and started to take fees directly out of my account. I contacted **** again and said If i can't cancel I will go ahead and start using the system, but I was still very unhappy with the company. The salesperson came back and apologized for signing me up and that she no longer works for the company because of how they do business. I am still using their system, but I have had a lot of fees taken out of my account and I don't know what they are for, so I tried to contact **** ******* again to ask what I am paying for and cannot get a response. I have Emailed and called and left messages 3 time, 3 weeks, no response. I have called other numbers only to be transferred multiple time until I get to a person that tells me I have the wrong number. I have fees from ********************************, *****************, Clover, and Bankcard.     I was misled and lied to when I signed up to do business with Clear choice payments. The agent told me that the Pos system is free and she did not disclose that it was a contract until the day of signing. When asked about the terms and agreement, I was told by agent that if I wasnt satisfied she would cover the $600 cost to cancel. Now Im being told that I cannot cancel and Ive been waiting for a call back since March 7. Im unable to get a hold of the agent who signed me up and Im being told that all refunds that have been processing since last year are no longer available because Im canceling. I am being charged from different business names that are under clear choice and they refuse to give any information on what the charges are for. I was only informed that my charges would be $120 per month. It has been more than that for months. They are also refusing to take their machine back.

    Im filing a complaint regarding deceptive, unethical sales practices conducted,in relation to a merchant services agreement I was misled into signing.On a Sunday morning,Mr.***** visited my business to offer merchant services through your company Clear Choice Payments.During our conversation,Mr.***** assured me that he could cut my current merchant service fees by more than half and that the point-of-sale equipment would be provided to me at no cost.He explicitly stated that there would be no upfront expenses, and that I could cancel the service at any time without penalty.We spoke for hours during which I asked several times for clarification on the terms.I clearly and repeatedly asked,"So the machine is completely free,and I wont have to pay anything out of pocket?And I can cancel anytime I want?"To which Mr. ***** responded affirmatively each time,continuing to omit any mention of a non-cancelable 48month lease or any early termination ******* no point did he disclose that I would be entering into a long-term,non-cancelable lease for the equipment.Based on the verbal representations made by Mr.*****,I agreed to proceed under the belief that I would be receiving a fixed monthly service with no lease obligations and that cancellation would be available at my discretion.However, during the signup process,Mr.***** stated he was contacting his company to send me the contract,which I believed would reflect the terms he had verbally *********** wasnt until later that weekafter further review and researchthat I realized I had been misled. The contract I signed includes a ******* non-cancelable equipment lease,directly contradicting what was promised.I am requesting immediate termination of this agreement on the grounds of misrepresentation,omission of critical information,and unethical sales practices.I am willing to pay a reasonable termination fee to exit the service,but I absolutely do not agree to the 48month lease for equipment that was promised to me as free.

    I signed up for Clear Choice / Riverside back in December of 2024. What they quoted me is not at all in line with what they billed me consistently. Working with them for merchant service / payment processing ended up costing me almost 3x what I was previously paying. I switched to a different provider in January of this year and called to cancel, they acknowledged the request and said I wouldn't be billed anymore, however they have continued to bill me multiple times a month even though I haven't done any payments through their old system. I've called multiple times and emailed, they keep saying they'll look into it and that the cancellation department doesn't take inbound calls and it's a ticket system. I requested a cancellation at the beginning of January and this is costing my small business a lot of money on an ongoing basis. I want they to honor my request for a cancellation and full refund of all the money they STOLE from me after I discontinued use of their services.

    Company lied to my employees and myself as the owner, they told us to sign paper work for a new credit card machine with lower rates then previous provider. They stole thousands of dollars from my bank account, and now are threatening to sue me for something I was lied to about. A DEFINITION OF A CONTRACT is as follows: a written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law.WHEN in fact this scam of a company LIED to my face. There is not a single agreement in place. Unless you call the art of deception a valid contract. I was told I would be given free equipment ( a lie ) I was told my rates would be lower ( a lie.. they TRIPLED) I was told there was no contracts ( a lie) I was told my first month of processing was FREE ( a lie) A complete joke of company.

    This company is a fraud in my opinion They came to me and they promised me they will save me money .then they will start charging you way more what they promise you they charge me three times more .When I tried to fix the problem and I tried to find out why my account getting that much of charges ,the representative do not answer my calls or response to my messages.And The customer support can confirm where those charges comes from, and when you're trying to cancel the service they will threat you. ******** will charge you thousands of dollars.

    This joke of a company sends sales **** in to completely lie to your face and have you sign paperwork for **************** "free equipment", and much more. My business was suppose to be saving money not getting charged 300% more!!! I was paying about $1200 per month is processing fees and owned my own credit card terminal outright with NO issues. When this company that goes by multiple names such as "Riverside payments **** or "Clear choice payments LLC" sends in a sales *** promising 20-30% savings on my current processing.. a brand new credit card machine FOR FREE, along with a welcome package of gifts. Sales *** explained there was no contracts or obligations if I did not see any savings... I DID NOT SEE ANY SAVINGS When you try to reach out to someone within this phony company they don't even answer the phone. Half the time The phone calls get sent to VOICEMAIL. Wow, I am just beyond words for the financial hardships this company has put me through in only ONE single month of processing with them. Thousands of dollars taken from my bank account with little to no explanation WHY. I was not aware of the BBB until recently, but I wish i have. There is countless reviews and complaints against this vulture of a company literally lying to business owners face's and stealing money from people left and right. Why may this company finally return my emails and phone calls ?? because, I have sent all companies involved in this scheme certified letters if my cancellation of their services. I have also sent back their equipment with tracking and signature requirements. NOW, they are harassing me daily with phone calls, emails, and calls from BLOCKED/ NO CALLER ID PHONE *********** I was left with no choice but to come here for help.TERMINATE & CLOSE OUT MY MERCHANT ACCOUNT AND LEAVE ME ALONE CLEARCHOICE.

    October 4, 2024, ****** from Clear Choice Payments came to our store to discuss changing our credit card processing. After looking at our previous merchant services company statement, he assured us that he would save us money. My specific concerns (1) merchant fees automatically charged to the consumer so I did not have to have my account debited for the fees. He assured me it would be no cost to me. (2) Equipment: We were using MX Merchant online and did not have/use any equipment. He told me he would provide a terminal and that it would be linked directly to our QuickBooks. and the terminal and link would be provided at no charge. (3)I asked about the cancellation policy and was also assured I could cancel at any time without any additional fees. At that point I agreed to switch. He called (******) and had an electronic contract for me to sign. When I got it I noticed the cancellation fees and said that I wanted that removed from the contract. ****** assured me that she would remove it. When I printed out the contract it was not removed and there were several other fees that I did not agree to. I immediately called to cancel. I was connected to a manager, **** *********, who assured me that no matter what the contract stated, I would save money. She offered me a written letter of GUARANTEE. The letter states if I did not save money CCP will pay-off your non-cancellable lease and early termination fees. Given that the lease is separate from the processing agreement, any termination of the lease must be handles by *** After many fees I have emailed **** *********, ****** ******, and **** Johnsonasking to cancel my contract NO REPONSE! I have called several numbers and everyone I talk to transfers me to someone else. I finally spoke with Princess; she would let the ***************** know I would like to cancel. I asked for a phone number to follow up but she told me that the *********************** does not take calls.

    A *** from Clear Choice Payments came to our office selling us a great plan that could save us a lot of money. She, along with her manager/contact who was on speaker phone through out, promised many things to get me to sign up for this program, including that I would not have to change the current processing system that I use (Converge) and that everything would just get changed over behind the scenes and that I would not need to do anything, that it would be seamless and they would take care of "breaking up" with my current processor. This was the only reason that I agreed to this. This was on November 4, 2024. I just assumed that everything had been converted over in the background as promised. On Dec. 2, I noticed that my regular fees had come out of my account, and then on Dec. 5, the **** charge also came out. My elavon account was still active, and now this other account is charging me. So at that point I called and left multiple messages, emailed him to please call me. My sales *** tried to be helpful, contacted her manager who informed her that I had to do the "breakup" with my current company. He contacted ****, who finally got back to me. He said he would have to look into whether they could integrate with Converge, he assigned a tech to it. This tech supposedly spent 2 days trying to figure it out. I found out on a ten minute phone call with converge that they could not integrate (as promised) as converge is owned by elavon. After another week of multiple emails and phone messages left with no response, my only choice was to cancel the contract (which I was promised I could do at any time). I have called and emailed multiple times and when I can get someone I am told that it has been sent to the "cancellation department" and that "they will call me when they are available," and they could not give me a time frame on when that might be. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said that is not possible. This company has worst customer service I have seen.

    Clear choice payments sent a sales person to my business and promised to save me money on credit card processing. Did not disclose the fees involved with this. I have never used the service and yet they took over ******* from my account in 7 months. The promise of savings is not true the fees alone were more than the current process fees I paid. I contacted them within 1 month of signing up. I was told it was escalated and then nothing further. But they continue taking money for nothing. And now am being told its not able to be cancelled this is a crooked company I wish I read these reviews before signing anything. Just another crooked company taking advantage of small businesses.
