A representative from Clear Choice came to my business to have me switch to their card processor. They assured me I would save money without charging my clients extra. I was told I could continue to use my system for inventory and would not be charged for equipment. After multiple conversations about the equipment I already had, different equipment showed up, that I did not agree to. They also said I would have to completely leave the company I use for inventory and switch to their system. Again, spoke to multiple people who could not tell me what was happening to my account and the whole process took almost a month. I attempted to use the new equipment as they suggested and they have not funded my account from those sales, and have not refunded the charges they stated they would refund. From day one they have lied to me and changed their story. Now I am unable to cancel without paying an absurd amount of money. The service I signed up for is not the service I have received and now I am locked into a contract because nobody is able to cancel the "plan". This is a definition of bait and switch and find it impossible that businesses still operate this way.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: what I was told when I signed up was not what I was delivered. Since signing the contract, they have changed several aspects of the agreement. Including sending, and charging, me for equipment that I did not authorize. Had I known these changes were going to be made I would not have signed up in the first place. They told me what they had to do I would sign up, then changed what they could deliver. The only options I have been presented are: use a third option they came up with and equipment I didn't want and a method that will harm my business, or pay huge fines to terminate a contract. They changed the terms of the original agreement and are now stealing from me. Had I known they couldn't deliver what I agreed to on day one, I would have never signed up. I have been fighting for weeks now because they have lied to me from the start. I do not trust them with my business and refuse to use their equipment.

Clear Choice Payments, credit card processing company. On or about May 8th 2024 a *** from Clear Choice Payments, *********************, came to our business and asked about changing to them for credit card processing. According to him, Clear Choice would save us money. I asked specifically if they provided the terminal or if there was a lease, he said several times that the terminal would be provided at no charge, I confirmed this with his supervisor ***********************. They have both denied saying this now. I also stated I did not want the processing fees to be pasted onto our customers. I agreed to use them for our credit card processing. A contract was sent and yes I signed it, without reading all the fine print because I believed what ********************* and *********************** said. The first payment I ran through the machine charged a fee to my customer. I called and complained, was told that was what I wanted. Of course it was not. They agreed to change it to another program. Withing a few days I see charges from *********, which turns out to be the company providing the terminal. I called and was told I had a 4 year lease at around $100 a month. I again called and was connected to ************************* at first, she apologized for the misunderstanding and refunded the charge. But I have been billed every month since. They have refunded a couple but others not. I was charged another $189 on August 2nd & 7th for something. I called again, the person I spoke to wasn't sure what it was for but would refund the charges. This has not happened as of today. We were also charged another $94.33 for the lease and was told it would not be refunded this time. I have asked, begged to cancel my contract but was told it was not cancelable. I would have to pay out the machine, total will be around $4600 for a machine I could have bought from Amazon for less than $500. We have been in business for 16 years and have never had a company, any company mis***resent themselves and just bold face lie.Business Response

I was visited by a friend that had just got a new job with Clear Choice and wanted me to see that his new company could save me money. After some research he said i could save some money if switched to Clear Choice.From that moment on, he was not able to communicate with me about how much or anything else. We had to get on a pushy conference call with a Inside sales **** I let them know that i did not want any new equipment for processing as well as not locked into a contract. They promised me this would not happen and there would be some simple paperwork to sign and they would take care of everything. Little did i know that everything they said was a lie. She bullied me into ******* through a contract which did clearly state i could cancel at anytime which i had to beg her to add in. She also promised nothing would be paid to them until I was all set up and things were working properly. Then on the 20th of June they deducted, without my permission almost 450 out of my account before anything was done or installed. I immediately reached out to as many people as possible in the company about refunding my money and canceling the Agreement. This is where things got even worse. They started treating me and the contract that i signed. They said there was no way i could cancel until the equipment was installed , which i never wanted in the first place. I spoke with Management who had no respect for me at all as well as a lady who said I was an Adult and should have acted like one. This company is a Dishonest, high pressure, disrespectful type of company. There is no way i will do any business with them and if they do not cancel my order and refund me my money i will hire my attorney to sue them.Do not hire them for anything. Clear choice payments agent *** (email ************************************************* offered us a credit card machine with a promise of good customer service, less monthly **********************, no contract and no problems with them at all. Since I have been trying to get in contact with them, they dont answer my calls, emails or texts due to me trying to return the device as I was getting charged double what they said I would but they told me I apparently was in a contract of 48 months, which I was NEVER told until I tried to return the device. No paper work was sent through mail not email nor did they have my signature. As I tell them to send me the suppose contract, they never do. And now I was sent to a debt collector and have to pay about $1,800 roughly. I have no use of the device and I am trying to send it back but I still have to pay $1,000 for the termination of the contract, a contract I never agreed too because I was never told about it. Besides their worst customer service they are a nasty company trying to sell garbage to people and tricking them to make money. I have not received any email with a agreement nor signed for anything electronically nor physically, I have attached the only paper the sales person, ***, gave us, and he has not answered any of his emails nor did he tell us of any contract as my husband and I would have rejected this offer because we were just starting and did not know how it was going to turn out and on top of that we told him we already had a credit card machine we didn't need another one but because of the offers and savings he told us we were going to have we were intrested and it was not true.I also have texts with people names **** and ******, promising they would return my calls and nothing, I have left thousands of messages and nothing.

On November 16, 2023 a sales representative from Clear Choice payments came into my place of business wanting to switch my processing service to Clear Choice payments. ******************* was the representative. He made all kinds of promises how my processing fees would be less I would save $1,300 dollars a month, no equipment fee, lie, none of this is true. I also explained to him and **** (whom I talked to on the via phone) that my business is for sale and asked if I sold if I would be able to cancel all my services, they both told me absolutely. I have now sold my business contacted Clear Choice they informed me that I am not able to get out of the 48 month lease I have with the equipment. The lease is for 48 at $595 a month which would total $24,395. When I googled the type of equipment I have you can purchase them on line for $595. This business is no longer going to be in business and there is no way I can continue to pay this fees, They asked if the new owners could take over my lease, I informed them I have only had contact with the buyers through our realtor, i Asked if I could buy the equipment the said no.I signed the lease and I am stuck with it. I was total misled ***** came in they pressure you into signing the leases. which I know is their game. My name is ********************* and this company scammed me into a contract for two of my businesses, GOLD USA and Elegant Fine Jewelry. When the lady came into our store to give us a free quote I asked her then multiple times if there is any contract and she assured me theres no binding contract and we have her word that we can cancel at any time and try it and even next week we can cancel is what she said in her own words. There were ********************************************************** through to sign and even then I asked multiple times if there is any contract because I cannot enter anything with a contract and each time she assured me there is no contract and pressurized to sign everything fast to get us started. After that my nephew read over the agreement few days later and found out we are locked in 48 months contract with a $150 monthly fee payable to this company! We tried to call the people we were in touch with before and phone was off for weeks and we finally got a ahold of corporate after so much difficulty and they said sorry theres nothing we can do we cannot speak on behalf of what the lady told you and we dont speak for her but you already signed now youre stuck with us for 48 months and the only way to cancel is to pay the entire 48 month service fees and PLUS a $695 cancellation fee on top of that. This company is a clear scam and we need to exit this contract and need them to take back their equipment.After filing this complaint with riverside payments, they told us our contract is with clear choice payments even though both companies names are mentioned in our contract it is the same company. I am rejecting this response because:As mentioned, I DO NOT WANT TO BE IN ANY CONTRACT. I asked your representative more than 5 times and the lady assured me there is no contract and it can be cancelled at anytime, which was a complete lie and FRAUD. We are not saving money at all and not interested in your scheme. You need to collect your devices back and cancel our program ASAP as we were decepted into this contract for 48 months. Our lease is only 1.5 years long why would we enter a 48 month contract with you? We are not interested at all in your savings it is not doing us any benefit by passing on the fees onto the customer, that is completely BS. I am not interested in any other revised offer or revised options either as I mentioned when I asked multiple times your agent should not have frauded us into signing by promising the cancelling at any time if you really have us stuck for a period or 3 times longer than our lease. I need your management to cancel my contracts and return your equipment right now, no other exception or revised offer, NOT INTERESTED in your fraud schemes!

Hello, this company wrote in their response that we have signed with clear choice payments not riverside payments but infact they are the same company and both of their names are mentioned in our contract. They further went on to say the clear choice team has already made contact with us to escalate our concerns and they did make contact after I posted this complaint on BBB and ****** reviews but the lady said she would speak to upper management tomorrow and get back to me as soon as possible to help resolve but we have still had no further contact after that day even though it has been two weeksBusiness Response

I signed up for Credit card processing With my local wrap they did not told me about any contracts they do me it not go a be hidden Charges now they charge me on my account $1023.46 they telling me it Tex and Insurance I never Where about this charge is and all so they never told me I am go a be under contract for 48 months this told me I am go charge only monthly $199. This has been taken care of with the merchant, negative review was taken down by the ex 1099 contractor and the agreement he had with us was terminated by our company.
