I purchased a game for my son on the Steam website for $99.99, Less than 24 hours later, they listed the game on sale for $19.99. I requested a price adjustment since that is a huge difference not even a day later, and was told no refund- but I wanted a price adjustment. The purchase happened on 4/2 by a minor. I simply want a billing adjustment either as a refund for the difference- not the full amount, or as a credit to the account.Initial Complaint

13 years ago i created account of **********************. My account link: (*******************************************************). With this account I have bought game called Counter Strike Global Offensive (Today it is called Counter Strike 2). 7.9 years (2908 days) ago Steam gave me VAC ban in this game. Reason till today is unclear. I have been always fair player and i have never been cheating and never been suspected in anything. I have asked to Steam several times to explain reason of the ban, to check again if their decision was right. They have never given me proof of violation and any info about doubtful facts. After their irresponsible attitude I gave up. Support communication messages are deleted in several days after contacting them. So i can not show you my old communications, But you can see last conversation screenshots. I think this situation is unfair. I have limitation that does not belong to me and company does nothing about it. It do not care if there decision was right or not and can not proof anything. I do not have any valuable games or inventories on account. I do not want ban cancellation because account has any monetary value, but i want it to be cancelled because my rights were violated and i can not use my account normally. I was discriminated by organization and they do not care. In 21.06.2022 i created new account (****************************************************). My username is ****, and ID is *****************. Since 2021, I've been actively and legitimately using the platform. 1. Wrongful Ban On 26/02/2025, my account was suddenly banned without warning or clear reason, just told it violated Counter - Strike game terms. But I've always followed all platform rules, never cheated or acted maliciously. 2. Economic Loss This wrongful ban caused huge losses. I've spent much on Steam over the years, buying many games. In Counter - Strike 2 alone, I spent over $10,000 on in - game items, and also subscribed to premium services. Now, I can't access any paid content, with losses of at least $10,000. 3. Failed Resolution After the ban, I contacted Steam support, explained my innocence with gameplay evidence like playtime and chat logs. But I only got automated or unhelpful replies, and no satisfactory solution after multiple attempts. Steam's actions are unethical and break user - platform trust. Dear BBB and VALVE My steam account ************* was hacked and used to cheat when I was in college, which resulted in my CS GO game being banned. I swear to God that I never cheated in my game. Because it was a long time ago, I didn't know any way to appeal and couldn't contact the developers, so I begged BBB to help me contact Valve. I like this game CS GO very much. I am having an issue with the policy they have in place for accounts that have been compromised. And an issue with hoe they deal with support help. I have found many issues with the policy that do not sit right with me and how they deal with the issue. My problem is that when my account was compromised I lost items of monetary value and there policy states they do not help get these items back from hijackers. But the policy also states the reasons why they do not give items back. When reading the policy it says items cannot be given back if they have been bought from the thieves but I ask what happens if the thieves have the items when the account is locked and they do not give me an answer. The second issue I put in support tickets asking questions and they keep declining my support tickets with no real answers and I have been documenting every thing that has happend since the incident of my account being hi jacked. I bought the videogame Civilation 7 on the platform Steam that the Valve Corporation operates. I also bought a new laptop that was powerful enough to play the game so there would be no issues. I paid $79 for the deluxe version of the game on March 22nd. I played it for 2.5 hours and it went well. I went to play the game this morning and now the game lags and takes forever to load. It isn't playable when it lags like this. This is a common complaint. My laptop is now operating very slowly. I looked online to contact customer service. There is no customer service. There is a link to submit a request for a refund, which I did. I received an automated message that told me because I played over 2 hours, I do not qualify for a refund. This is absurd. Selling a crappy product is bad. Having no way to speak to actually talk to a human for customer service is ridiculous, and telling customers that 2 hours of play time disqualifies them from a refund if something goes wrong is terrible. The issue didn't occur until after I first played, saved a game, and then loaded it today. Where is the accountability for this type of racket? What a faulty game.Initial Complaint

I accidentally purchased the game ***** ring to my steam account but it was intended to be a steam gift for a friend. Due to this I tried to get it refunded but was denied due to "hours played". Valve has taken action on my account without any reason as to why. I never received any notices, emails, or calls about this violation on the community of Steam. This time frame is within 2 days of this week. I even purchased a game during their spring sale in which they without my consent refunded and I have no even received the refund amount. I feel as if this is wrong in ways of no reason or explanation or even a chance to fight this violation. They have personal information and I am not okay with them going and doing what they will without a reason why. If I wasn't calm about the situation I would sue them for wrongful actions and keeping me in the dark with my personal bank account on file. This took place on 03/17/2025 and have reached out to them only to get a load of information I was not aware of or notified about. Writing a compliant for others do not have to deal with Valve (Steam) with permanent bans for no reason, or with no information as to why.
