      I interviewed with a sales rep who tried really hard to sell me an ad. During the interview, I specifically asked about a cancellation policy, and she led me to believe that it was possible. With the belief I could cancel, I signed a three-year contract. I had a print and online ad. I paid over $400 per month for 6 months, and not one customer came from it. I asked to cancel and was denied. I was ignored for weeks. I asked for verification of my ******* views' and I was ignored. The contract states that I had to have a minimum of ***** ****** views to cancel my ad. They told me that I had over ****** views online in April 2022 and ignored my request for verification, which was requested in May 2022. For all I know, they type out a PDF with any large number and I have no evidence that its honest and accurate. I certainly had no income from the online ad. I am a homeowner in the town this magazine is delivered within, and I have never received one copy. They canceled my ****** ad yet I am forced to pay for the print ad. Over 2 months with a print ad costing $218, and I continue to see no bump in business. I have approximately 27 months left with no way out. This contract is unreasonable, and the magazine did nothing but hurt my business and hog my entire advertising budget. I am a small business with a total of three colleagues.

      I entered into a contract with Best Version Media Nov. 2021, with the understanding that it was a 12 month contract. Upon signing, I was not provided with a copy of the receipt and was told that should I need to cancel, there were options. Since the sales rep was also a family acquaintance, I was not too concerned. In March, I requested a copy of the contract again, but never received it. In April, I had asked about pausing my contract, as I didnt feel it was the best use of my advertising spend. At which point they said they could pause it for up to 3 months. During that time, my credit card they had on file expired, and they were not able to collect payment after the pause. I had also switched brokerages during this time.With no copy of the contract to this date (after several requests) Im not able to review their cancellation clause or verify what I signed. I have attempted to work with their team but they decided to issue a Notice of Default instead. Their team also claims its a 36 month correct, which I would have never agreed to. I remember being hesitant about 12 months. Im happy to pay for the 3 months up until Aug. 2022, but would like to be given an option to cancel, as my new brokerage does not allow advertisements in all magazines (we have a specific list of publications we can advertise in). As a Realtor, we need to include our brokerage information when advertising as per RECO advertising rules and guidelines. So my question to Best Version Media was, exactly what would I be advertising if not my business? Surely there must be another reasonable solution here.

      Company is completely unresponsive to any questions or concerns. I have called more times than I can count and left several voicemails explaining the issue but never get a call back. Requests to discontinue advertising with them is not being addressed at all or in a timely manner, even after explaining that I no long have a business to advertise. I have asked multiple times to cancel my subscription, but continue being charged for this service every month.
