The engine I purchased was damaged in shipping and needed to have more money spent swapping parts from my old one to the new one. Also the engine was painted with spray paint to appear to have less use on it than described over the phone and online, I could tell that from the gaskets once I had to removed damaged components and the excessive carbon build up inside the engine too. I tried to reach out multiple times and have some sort of agreement on what could be done with this problem, but all I get is transferred or given a number to call that has me on hold for hours on end only to be told give us ***** hours and we will get back with you, that has not happened yet! I'd like to get $600 back on the purchase since I have paid $1,350. Also I have photos to prove my complaints if needed.

I purchased a Audi A4 2.0t B7 engine from SW Engines online my Order Date is: 2022-12-02 (I have attached the order as a PDF). This was for the the amount of $2,395. This included a $350 dollar fully refundable core charge once the replaced engine was sent back to SW Engines. For my order SW Engines told me not to send the replaced engine back as the shipping would be more than the refunded amount. However, they did not refund me the $350.Secondly, the engine received was installed by ************* who is an ASE Certified automotive maintenance shop here in ***********, **. Upon installation and testing of the engine it started to send check engine light codes pointing to a problem with fuel pressure. ************* inspected the engine camshafts and found excessive wear on the lobe which actuates the high pressure fuel pump. I therefore started a warranty claim immediately on Feb. 16 2023 (proof attached as a PDF). SWEngines replied to the claim stating they would send a replacement engine and pay for labor and return shipping costs. However, they have still yet to send a replacement engine and have not updated me for 2 months regarding any warranty updates, and have failed to reply to continued promptings.I would like SW Engines to honor their warranty agreement as they state on their website (pdf attached), and send me an engine which is of the same mileage and make to replace the faulty engine initially sent. Also, I would like them to pay for labor and return shipping of the faulty engine as they have agreed to with me previously and in their warranty.Further, I would like a refund of $350 for the core charge as they agreed not to receive the previous engine back.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The original engine recieved after purchase was defective, confirmed by an ASE Certified Maintenance Shop. It has significant wear on the camshaft lobe which actuates the high-pressure fuel pump. SWEngines has been provided with the maintenance shops determinations and records regarding potential fixes. SWEngines decided to forgo a cylinder head swap and instead decided to do a complete engine replacement. Shipping and labor costs for removal of old and install of replacement engine were previously agreed to be covered by SWEngines. I am not willing to undergo a reimbursement of these costs. Stated plainly, I will not be paying these shipping and labor (maintenance) costs upfront and then wait for SWEngines to reimburse me afterward. This is because as stated in the SWEngine agreed upon warranty service labor and maintenance for engine warranties is covered by SWEngines. SWEngines has failed to return calls and emails regarding warranty costs regarding labor/maintenance and replacement engine shipping/return.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      Good afternoon,

I have sent an invoice for the repair of the engine which was sent. The engine sent on 7/10/2023 for the original replacement had a bad cylinder head, confirmed by ********* Auto (ASE Certified Maintenance Shop). The invoice includes labor and parts for the defective engine removal and install, plus ***** and parts for the cylinder head swap. I have submitted a claim for this maintenance and the invoice can be paid directly to ********* Auto of ***********, **. Here is their full contact information.  ************************ St ***********************************************************;***********, ** 58201 *********************. I'll attach the already submitted files here for reference.

Here is the information the Maintenance shop sent me for your reference, "The replacement engine sent for this warranty claim was found to be mechanically bad. From Braateen's Auto Maintenance, "We have a few issues with this engine that you should be aware of.  Attached is a photo of a timing gear on the newer engine.  We wanted to take a look at the condition of everything because the timing cover itself was cracked.  You can see that they must've dropped the engine on the timing cover side and cracked not only the cover but also the timing gear.  They also broke/cut several other items on this engine that are going to need to be swapped over.  The turbo that came on this engine is also shot and will have to be swapped.  I would inform them that the original estimate to swap the engine is going to be higher because of these parts that need to be swapped out or replaced. Upon installation of the engine, it was found to have severe cylinder head knocking due to a crack in the timing gear and internal cylinder head damage"

Recommended fix from the shop is to use the Cylinder head from the previous engine for the repair."

Associated picture of damage has been attached.

      Regards,

I purchased a transmission from engineandtransmissionworld.com *************) on January 13, 2023 for the amount of ********. My invoice number is #******. I didn't receive my transmission until the middle or end of february. They sent the wrong transmission for my vehicle. The vehicle is a 2012 ***** Traverse with Front Wheel Drive. They sent an All Wheel Drive Transmission. I filed a warranty claim on March 6, 2023. I was sent shipping information to ship back the transmission they sent me and it was picked up on March 10,2023. I have the tracking number(6925149899) from the shipping company that verified that they received their transmission on March 17, 2023. I waited and waited on a replacement transmission and never received one. I called several times and didn't get any information. Finally on April 17, 2023 I received an email from *********************** stated that I need to pay $640 for shipping to get the correct part. When I ordered the transmission, I was asked for the *********************** which tells you the exact part that goes with the vehicle but they tried to say I ordered the wrong part. I refused to pay more money and I asked for a refund. They said okay but the refund never came. I have called every week or every other week and I get the same response from a customer call center. No one from the ********************** has called or emailed me. They have my money and they have their transmission. I have been extremely inconvenienced for the last FIVE(5) months because I don't have a working vehicle and I can't get my it fixed another way because they have my money tied up.

The complainant purchased a used transmission on 01/12/2023 and the transmission shipped out on 02/08/2023. The complainant alleges we sent them the wrong engine and wants us to send the transmission that they ordered.

The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
      6. All mis-ordered or mis-diagnosed parts will be assessed a 25% processing charge and freight both ways, regardless of the reason.

All the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty are prominently listed here: ***********************************************************************************.

After review, the complainant did order the wrong transmission. We did communicate to the complainant that if they wanted to correct transmission, they would need to spend an additional $640.00. If the complainant wants a refund they would need to schedule a pickup but also they would be charged a 25% handling fee plus shipping costs to return the original transmission.

I did not order the wrong part. I was sent the wrong part. I even sent my VIN #. So why am I being penalized for the mistake. It stated that I must arrange for a pick up for my refund. Im in *********** and the Business is in *********. Why has there not been any communication in months? Ive been calling every week and can never get an answer. No emails or return calls. Ive only gotten one email months ago about paying $640. Nothing telling me how to get a refund or any of the details. The business has my money and they have their transmission that I shipped months ago. Good afternoon. I am contacting you in regards to my complaint and am looking for further actions. The situation has not been resolved and I haven't had any contact from the company. They are still in possession of their transmission and my money. It has been a very long time that I have been inconvenienced. They never gave me a specific dollar amount for a refund that would be given. They want to take 25% for "re-stocking" and all shipping costs. I did not accept their offer because I do not know what dollar amount they plan on refunding me. They never stated how much shipping costs were. They also stated that I would have to arrange a time to pick up a check which makes no sense to me. I simply asked for some communication which seems to be a problem. I've left my number and contact information.

From USED.******* on or about 07-April-2023, I purchased a used transmission for my **** Acura CL Type S under invoice #: ******. This transmission arrived at my ASE Certified repair facility on 01-May-2023. The mechanics noticed immediately that the filter, one of the dual solenoid assemblies and dipstick assembly were all badly damaged and Could NOT possibly be reused. I supplied a new filter and the mechanic installed it prior to installing the USED.******* transmission. Seeing as the filter wasn't purchased by The Pit Shop it's not listed on their invoice. Because of this USED.******* has voided my warranty claim stating the transmission filter wasn't changed. However my mechanic's invoice does state that ALL DAMAGED PARTS WERE REPLACED with parts supplied by the car's owner. The vehicle repair began the afternoon of 03-May-2023 and the installation of the USED.******* transmission was completed the morning of 05-May-2023. The car immediately had problems going into gear and after operating temperature was reached, would NOT apply power to the drive wheels. The owner of The Pit Shop notified me immediately and I verified the problem the afternoon of 05-May-2023.I notified the USED.******* Warranty Department Monday morning, 08-May-2023 that the transmission is defective and I was filing a warranty claim for the advertised replacement transmission and compensation for the upcoming replacement labor fees. USED.******* refused to honor their advertised warranty. I would like to be reimbursed the purchase price of the USED.******* transmission and labor fees - As Advertised - for a total of $3266.23.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

I will start my reply by addressing each one of the False statements made by Engine Shopper LLC.

      1. - The complainant purchased a used transmission on 04/05/2023 and the
transmission shipped out on 04/28/2023. The complainant alleges that the
transmission was badly damaged and couldnt be used. The complainant
opened a warranty claim and submitted documentation for the warranty
      claim.

      * FALSE - I NEVER CLAIMED THE TRANSMISSION "COULDN'T BE USED". I STATED THAT THE FILTER ELEMENT - WHICH IS SO IMPORTANT TO THEIR CLAIMS OF NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF MY MECHANIC -  WAS UNUSABLE AND I PROVIDED PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF OF THAT AND WILL AGAIN (FOR THE FIFTH TIME - SEE ATTACHED). THE ORIGINAL INVOICE FROM THE *** SHOP (MY ASE CERTIFIED REPAIR FACILITY - SEE ATTACHED) STATED THAT ALL DAMAGED PARTS WERE REPLACED WITH CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. I CAN ALSO PROVE THROUGH TESTIMONY OF SME's (SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS) UNDER OATH IN A COURT OF LAW THAT THE TRANSMISSION COOLING RESERVOIR FILTER ELEMENT COULD NOT AND WOULD NOT CAUSE THE MALFUNCTION WE EXPERIENCED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRANSMISSION INSTALLATION. ALSO ACCORDING TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY, THE TRANSMISSION WAS PURCHASED ON 07-APRIL-2023.

      2. - The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
      16. We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non replaced seals, gaskets or filters.

** FALSE - AGAIN THE FILTER WAS REPLACED. THE FILTER THAT CAME ON THE TRANSMISSION WAS BADLY DAMAGED (SEE ATTACHED) AND WE BELIEVE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHIPPED THAT WAY BECAUSE THERE WAS FRESH PAINT INSIDE THE **** IN THE FILTER HOUSING THAT MATCHES THE REST OF **************** PAINT APPLIED TO THE TRANSMISSION PRIOR TO SHIPPING.

24.Once you have initiated a warranty claim, you are required to submit
ALL the details requested through the Customer ****************** Portal within 5
Business Days or the warranty will be void.

*** I SUBMITTED ALL REQUESTED DOCUMENTATION ON 09-MAY-2023. SEE ATTACHED.

ADDITIONALLY, USED ******* CLAIMS THEY TEST EVERY TRANSMISSION PRIOR TO SHIPPING. CONSIDERING THIS USED TRANSMISSION FAILED IMMEDIATELY AFTER INSTALLATION, WE DO NOT BELIEVE THIS WAS DONE AND USED ******* DID NOT INCLUDE IN THE SHIPMENT OR PROVIDE ANY PROOF THE TRANSMISSION WAS TESTED. USED ******* EITHER DID NOT TEST THIS TRANSMISSION - AS ADVERTISED - AND HAD NO IDEA WHETHER THIS TRANSMISSION WAS SERVICEABLE OR THEY INTENTIONALLY SHIPPED MY A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. EITHER WAY I DEMAND A FULL REFUND OF MY PURCHASE PRICE ($1645) AND DEMAND THEY REIMBURSE ME FOR THE LABOR COSTS ($1621.23) - AS ADVERTISED ON THEIR WEB SIGHT.

I purchased an engine on April 12th for $2170. This was for my personal vehicle. After a few weeks of waiting because it was apparently in their quality control location, the engine arrived. It was dirty and poorly packaged. The mechanic installed the engine and it did not work. I submitted a refund request and was told that I would get a response on Friday, June 2nd at the latest. I was told that I could call them then if I received nothing. I called them and was on hold for 30 minutes. I called them again after and was told that the extension for refunds was unavailable. I had to pay my mechanic double the original price because he had to reinstall the original car engine. I understand this part, but this would not have happened if I hadnt been sent an engine that didnt work from the beginning. The photos included are of the original invoice and the email I received when I first submitted a refund request.

The complainant purchased a used transmission on 01/12/2023 and the complainant is looking for a refund for the transmission.

The complainant purchased a used transmission on 01/12/2023 and the transmission shipped out on 02/08/2023. The complainant alleges we sent them the wrong engine and wants us to send the transmission that they ordered.

The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
6.All mis-ordered or mis-diagnosed parts will be assessed a 25% processing charge and freight both ways, regardless of the reason.

5.All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and processing fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs.
