I ordered an engine from Remans in August of 2022. They sent the wrong engine. I returned the engine to the sender. ****** refuses to refund my purchase. The incorrect engine was returned on 15 September 2022.Repeated call attempts, all ending with me on hold until the call gets dropped. I want my refund, I returned the product (which was the wrong product for my truck), they have their engine, they will not return my money.Initial Complaint

I purchsed a used engine online from ************************************************* After reading their claim that every engine is compression tested and warrantied for 5yrs I procedded with the purchase. I hired a ASE, certified, licensed shop to do the installation of the engine. This cost me over $2900 to find out the engine that was sold to me was never tested and the proof it was never tested is shown in the included cocuments. At the time of speaking to the warranty **** at used.*******.com I was asked if I wanted to start the warranty process and in my stressful state of anger at the news, from the shop, I agreed to start the warranty process. Unfortunately due to conditions beyond my control, the tech who was doing to work got snowed in for three days so there was no one able to remove the engine. Thereby exceeding the 7 day time limit to return the engine. I tried to seek an extention on the warranty return time limit & was met with complete refusal to consider the situation. after having paid for the engine I asked for the results of the compression test to be emailed to me and was met with qa rude and hostile response refusing to sendme the info. I have been met with complete refusal to work with me on the return of the engine they never tested. my complaint is, since I can prove w/o a doubt they never tested the engine they have violated their own statement that every engine is tested and certified reliable.Business Response

I am writing this complaint as a matter of public record. On 2-8-2021 I called and spoke with ******* sales and made it clear " cancel order ******". Do not ship or charge for it. Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory, however I feel that the public record should reflect the following:At checkout for the refrenced engine, "I selected ************" at checkout. As I was completeing that process my banking information was harvested simotaniously "and a charge for the full amount was attempted without my consent". If my bank had not notified me of the activity, I would not have known". When a customer selects a 3rd party lender, "his/her banking information should be obtained on a secure page" seperated from view. After they attempted to charge my bank account without permission, "I was furious and canceled the order". A day or 2 later I received an email updating me on the engine arrival status? Really? I was shocked at how bold this business is. I conducted a Better Business Bureau review, and reading through droves of horrible expierences, "I decided to involve my attorney and demad absolute written confimation of cancellation". Without the engine, "I did not make a purchase, ************ did not have a legal binding contract, and everyone was forced to provide documentation showing the matter was closed. Buyer Beware!

I purchased an engine for a 2016 kia ******* less than a year ago. It broke down in the middle of the highway. After a few months. The website says clearly it has a 5 year warranty. I contacted them they said I could get a replacement engine and get reimbursed for the second installation. I sent all the paperwork they asked me for. They said it would take 7 days. It has been 2 months. Still no replacement, no reimbursement, no communication. Nothing. They keep saying my concerns will be escalated. I have made over 10 calls and multiple emails and have been hung up on multiple time. I hand to have my car towed back from the repair shop because they couldn't have it on the lot long term waiting for the replacement. I had to pay for a rental car for a month. I have lost thousands because this company sells bad engines and does honor there warranty.Business Response

However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
