We purchased a fence from Menards in *************** on 5/14/23. We had it delivered a few days later wrapped up in a pallet. On 5/20/23 we rented equipment for assembly, we set the cement for the posts and we had our help available for that day. So as we were assembling the fence we were noticing that a lot of the panels had large gaps between them and not to mention there were other panels that had some sort of damage or stains on them. The panels that had large gaps were longer than the 8ft. So we had to cut them down to size to fit the posts. Which took a lot of our time. We called Menards that day and told them this and they said we can bring them back, but we had about half of the fence installed already, and having to return the fence would've been a huge hassle considering the equipment rented for the day and the help that was there and etc. So instead we decided to file a complaint with Menards regarding the fence company. The Manufacturing company hasn't been very responsive to our claim. We've had to call Menards several times to find out what is going on. So just recently I got a letter from them stating that they will return the fence panels to Menards for the damaged ones and that's it. Originally when ******* had asked what we wanted out of this, we said to take money off for the inconvenience and the time it took to assemble. But expecting us to take our fence apart right now after it's already assembled and return the panels is not what we want to do. Once again that is another huge hassle. We sent them an email explaining this to them and they haven't replied so that is why we're contacting you. We will enclose pictures of the fence panels and will include the original complaint form.Business Response

I purchased decking material from ****** **** ******** **** that was manufactured by Midwest Manufacturing. The decking I purchased was rustic grey, but I ended up with 1/2 of the grey and 1/2 of Sandstone color, not noticeable. until it was installed. The purchase date from ****** **** was 3/15/2023. The purchase price was $1431.64. I first complained about the difference with ******, and filed a complaint with them, a letter was forwarded to Midwest Manufacturing, and they were asked from reimbursement of 50%. of the purchase price. we did receive a letter stating we would not be reimbursed monetary compensation.I have again reached out to the company, thru e-mail with pictures, and told to wait for up to 60 days for the boards to fade, I did that, and the last communication I received stated that this fading could take up to one year, I the meantime I still have a two colored deck, with the company holding the warranty not interested in helping me resolve this issue. I asked in a e -mail for materials to replace the wrong color of the boards, but, that was not answered.Customer Answer

Exterior door purchased 2021 with sidelight windows on each side plus window in door. Wind coming in from the 2 side light windows and when zero or below solid ********** on the inside around the two side lights. Manufacturer Midwest sent two new sidelight windows. We replaced them March 2022. Instantly could feel the difference since the wind was so notable. Thought the issue was solved. Dec 2022 Solid ice and snow on the same sidelight windows that we replaced. In addition, the middle window also has solid ice and snow! (The middle window is original since it was not replaced the first time due to no ice or snow on the middle window. )Midwest is sending new complete door but will not pay for the labor to remove this defective door and install new door. Menards states I bought this from Midwest and If Midwest denies to pay the labor nothing they can do. I gave my money to Menards. I purchased from Menards. I bought a door that I expected to be able to handle ********* weather. I am having to pay for a second installation and I should not have to do this. I expect Menards to pay for labor; I expect the profit they made from me to be used to install the new door. Keno30327549 Is the special order number.Business Response

I bought a sliding glass patio door from Menards. It was a Mastercraft door manufactured by Midwest Manufacturing with the internal blinds. The door was delivered to my house around thanksgiving last year and I promptly had it installed. We lowered the internal blinds according to the manufacturers instructions and after that we could not get them to go up. The mechanism for raising the blinds continues to fail. I reached out to Menards, filled out there form sent it in and Mastercraft reached out. All they are willing to do is replace the door. I want in addition to a new door the cost for what I will have to pay my contractor to take out the faulty door and install the replacement. I do not feel I should have to pay twice for installation. Especially since this a brand new door. Can you helpBusiness Response

Regards,
************************; We already have worked with OUR HELP as they asked. The reason we are so upset is because as soon as the doors were installed they were defective and we paid $1060.00 for installing. They are being unreasonable for us having to pay another install fee of about $500.00. *****************************Business Response

This complaint can be dropped now because they are not going to fulfill what we asked. That was we paid over $1000.00 to install the patio doors from Mastercraft. They were defective immediately but they won't help with replacement cost other than replacing the doors. Thanks, *****************************
