On 4-8-25 I received email communications from PESI (this after requesting that an account with ******************** be forever closed and that any/all marketing/promotion/communications cease). I have no intentions of EVER again doing business with PESI. Interesting, PESI does not offer ANY unsubscribe options for their UNSOLICITED emails promoting continuing education programs, partnership offers, etc. I responded to PESI's email of 4-8-25 with an explicit directive to STOP contacting me. PESI responded on 4-15-25 stating "your request for email removal has been submitted. Please allow 3-5 business days for these emails to completely stop". On 4-16-25, "we did submit your request for email removal". In my email of 4-16-25 I explicitly state STOP with any and all contact. BUT PESI DID NOT/DOES NOT RESPECT MY REQUESTS. On 5-2-25, PESI sent an email from subsidiaries ************* and Evergreen Certifications. On a phone call to PESI's customer service line this afternoon, ***** informed me that "by law PESI was required to send emails communications to all customers and former customers". When her logic was challenged, I was told I needed to put my request in writing. PLEASE CONTACT THE BUSINESS AND ASK THAT THEY STOP WITH EMAIL and any all **** HARASSMENT/SOLICITATIONS forever. ******************** available upon request.Initial Complaint

After being specifically directed to seesaw communication, I have received over 10 emails within the past several pages. This company is not to have any contact with me at this email address.Business Response

We have removed the referenced email from our email lists. It appears that the original email request was to merge with another of your accounts so you would not receive transactional emails to the referenced email, however the representative did not go further and remove you from the marketing emails. This has been completed.Customer Answer

I find the most businesses are absolutely willing to follow through with these kind of actions. I reserve the right to of course file an additional complaint if they do not. Thank you.

PESI refuses to remove my address from their mailing catalogs. Repeated requests have been made over the past year.Business Response
Date: 01/17/2025
It looks like the address removal request was made on September 12, 2024, however the address that was entered does not exactly match the address listed above. (The city is misspelled) We have added this to our suppression list and once those brochures that have already printed have run their course (we print ****** days ahead of time), no additional mail will be printed with the name and address listed.Initial Complaint

I emailed PESI on 6/2/2024asking to have my physical address removed from their database due to up to 10 mailers I receive from them monthly. I received a response with instructions on how to remove my address on my web portal. I proceeded.I continued receiving mailers at the same rate and followed up with an email to them requesting the immediate removal of my physical address from their database on 8/1/2024. I received an email confirming that my address should be removed from our system within ***** hours. A additional line puzzled me: Please note that we print our brochures ****** days ahead of time, so you may receive some additional brochures after being removed from our mailing list.I do not want mail from this company and have asked twice now. At this point, they are harassing, disturbing, and printed mailers simply do not need to be sent.Business Response

Good Morning,
I do see that this address was removed from our mail list on 8/1/2024. We do print ****** days in advance, so it's likely you will receive additional flyers, they will slow down and then stop completely. Unfortunately there is not a way to prevent these mailers that have already been printed from being mailed as they are in a large mail/sort warehouse.Thank you.

I requested to be removed from Pesi.Com's mailing list last year after receiving numerous promotional mailers. I began receiving them again--4 in the past 2 weeks alone. I want to be permanently deleted from Pesi's mailing list which seems impossible to achieve.Business Response

Good Afternoon,
It appears that the address that was removed from the mailing list previously was a PO Box. We will remove your street address from our mailing list moving forward. Please note, we pre-print our brochures ****** days ahead of time, so it will take some time for the mailings to completely stop.
Thank you,

Pesi will not stop spamming me with multiple fliers each week! I have requested them to stop multiple times with my name exactly as written on these fliers (not even my current name). The requests have been made in the past and more recently since December 2023. It says the fliers will stop within ****** days. They have NOT stopped and receiving several fliers per week is ridiculous. I have also requested them to stop in April 2024 and they refuse to respect my wishes. I WANT THIS TO STOP NOW.Business Response

Good Morning,
It appears that the address and name entered for mail removal did not match what was on file exactly and unfortunately was not successfully removed. All iterations of the address and name have now been removed from any new mailers that are being printed. Please note that we print ****** days in advance so it's likely you will receive additional mailers, however this will slow and then stop completely.
Thank you.

I made several attempts to be removed with my former name (name they have on file) exactly as printed as the mailers, including with the mailing code printed on the fliers. The instructions to be removed indicate to type the name exactly as it appears, and I did that multiple times. I do not believe PESI when they claim this was done incorrectly, and this is just prolonging the process to be removed.

In the past 12 months I've officially filed complaints through PESI customer service over 4x, though email and through phone. I've asked them to stop sending me mail because they send excessive mailers that I receive every few days. They've said they would stop sending me mail and it would take up to 90 days. They've told me this each time I've filed a complaint and asked them to stop. It's been literally more than 8-12 months later. I shouldn't have to ask a company more than once to stop mailing me. It's considered harassment and spam. I've attached a recent email I've sent to the company and proof they're still spamming me. Notice I've made phone calls to them since around October 2023 or even earlier than that.Business Response

I do see that the brochure suppression was requested on October 5, 2023, however the name listed on the brochure does not match (first name listed as *********). Unfortunately due to the mismatch, our system does not recognize it as being the same with the different name. We will remove this name as well from the mailing list, however it's likely there are brochures already printed and in the postal stream, so it will take a while before they completely stop. Thank you.

April 11, 2023 date of purchase. Ive reached out to this company requesting a refund twice. Policy states one year after purchase you can request a refund. They are not honoring their own policy. I was never able to log in or find the site. Consistent problems with the information coming through. I needed to complete CEUs so I took another course with a different company. I will not take another course with Pesi or psychotherapy networker or whichever one it is.Business Response

Good Morning,
That is correct, PESI accepts returns within one year per our return policy (found here: *****************************************************************************). The purchase was made in 2020 which is outside of that one year time frame. While we are unable to offer a refund to your credit card as it is several years outside of that return window, we would be happy to issue a credit towards a future purchase via gift card. I can see that you have been able to log into your account (last date was 2/3/2024) and have also been signing up for our free programs and have purchased the ** for one of them, which is accessible the same way that the purchased item is accessed.
Our customer support is happy to assist if you would like that gift option. We can be reached Mon-Fri, 6:30am-6pm central time at: ************.
Thank you,
PESI

I have called and emailed and used the online forms for this business multiple times over the past 2 years to tell them that we DO NOT want to recieve their mailing anymore, and that the people listed DO NOT live at this address. Each time I am assured that they are removing the names from the lists. I make sure to send the mailings back too with the address crossed out and a big Return To Sender listed on there just to make it absolutely clear. They will not stop. They have not stopped. This is not the first BBB complaint I have had to file. I know most people just add it to the trash but it's not right that they don't stop when you ask them to. PESI is a scummy company.Business Response

We apologize for the additional mailings. As our mail files look at both the name and the address to match, it appears that your name and address were suppressed from future mailings, but not other names that *** have been sent to that address. Our mail team has removed any and all names and mailings from future prints. Again, we apologize that you were still receiving mail from PESI. Another worthless promise from the people at PESI. I've made BBB complaints before. I've used their online portal 20 times now maybe more. I've sat on hold FOREVER waiting to talk to someone who assured me, with wonderful customer service skills, that it was going to stop. I know all the nonsense about "Well we already printed and mailed a bunch of our garbage so we can't just stop mailing it to you immediately, our business model isn't built to do that." (this is not an adequate response either imo). I've had too many empty promises from them. I don't accept this. I don't accept their mailing. I don't accept their apologies, I don't accept their lack of follow through. They stay alive as a business by mass mailing this c*** Fine. But when someone says stop you should respect that. Their systems are not built to respect that. It is fundamentally nonconsensual that way. This is a small thing, but I'm sick of pretending it shouldn't matter. I will keep escalating this every time they send something and I will make sure to negatively review them elsewhere as well. This is small, but as a matter of principle they should be responsive. This wouldn't be acceptable in other industries, in other media, with other kinds of content. I would honestly seek a restraining order if an individual was calling or mailing me this much without respecting my wishes.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.The success or failure of this intervention cannot be measured within the time boundaries of the BBB's complaint resolution process. Their business model then effectively cheapens the BBB by association. I'll remind you this isn't the first BBB complaint I've had to file.
