We recently had Guthrie & Frey out because our plumber was out replacing a 4 year old water heater. He suggested that I have our just turned 4 year old water softener company come out because a 4 year old water heater should have not have had to be replaced. When i scheduled the appointment NOTHING was said that there would be a charge for them to come out. I get it that things are more expensive now with labor and fuel so if there was going to be a service call fee it should not have been to bad $50 - $60 BUT..... Guthrie & Frey was out in my home for 10 minutes maybe and the bill was $173.00. The person that came out said that I should call the company to if the visit could be reduced because he was only there for 10 minutes and the warranty had run out only 3 months ago. NOPE I was given some song and dance about a license plumber coming out and 1 to 1 hour was $173.00. I would like to find a job that pays me $17.30 PER MINUTE!!! All he did was check the water and said nope nothing we can do your water is not great here is the bill have a nice day. I will NEVER recommend Guthrie & Frey to anyone if this is how they do business and will call another softener company if something ever happens again.

We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that standard was not met in your interaction with us.Our service technicians are experts with water conditioning equipment and diligent in making sure that when equipment is serviced, they are thorough in their work.
Your water softener was installed 11/8/2019 and included a 3-year parts and labor warranty which expired on 11/8/2022. While on site, ************** verified the performance of the water softener and tested water quality. The technician then gave recommendation that the water heater be flushed every 6 to 12 months due to the amount of total dissolvable solids (TDS) in the water supply. My saleserson was straight forward, laid out my options and answered all of my questions. The installer called ahead to let me know he was on his way and was on time. The installation took less time than scheduled. The installer was knowledgeable and explained the operating process of my unit. My only drawback is the software that G&F uses is a little dated. The Accounts payable team can't easily update what the balance is on my account.Guthrie & Frey Water Conditioning, L.L.C.

Quick response to our call for a new iron filter system, excellent service. Personable installer, very neat and answered our questions. I replaced my water softener and filtration system for drinking water with Guthrie and Frey. Their prices were much better than a competitor's prices (who I had been using previously). The water filtration filters needed to be changed. When the serviced person came to bring salt and do the filter change, I asked him to show me how it is done so I could do it myself in the future. Our first experience with Guthrie and Frey was back in June of 2021. They installled a new water softener and they are great. Their staff is great. After having to put in a new well-pump in in November of 2022 our water pressure was extremely slow. The pump people came back out but is was still bad. I called Guthrie and Frey and told them that the well people said it could be our iron curtain. Out came the salesman and he checked everything out. Our unit could be replaced. They arrived a few days later. The two guys were so professional, courteous and very clean with going in and out of the house. They even cleaned up old plumbing pipes and the mess that others before left behind. After two days of running water through the grummy pipes MY WATER IS SPARKLING CLEAN and MY PRESSURE IS BETTER THAN IT HAS BEEN IN THE 30 YEARS. I recommend Guthrie and Frey to everyone I know.
