I have used Guthrie & Frey for 3 years since I built my home in Town of *******. I have always had city water services, and this is the first time I needed a well, water softener, an iron curtain, and a filter. Craig's services were outstanding, and he explained everything to me completely. Also, if I have any questions at any time, he is always available to answer them. The maintenance service staff are also great, and they are very professional and helpful. They explain what needs to be done so I understand what's happening with my system. I highly recommend Guthrie & Frey.

Our city water was meeting legal requirements, but it frequently smelled/tasted either a bit dirt-like or sulphur-y. I shopped around and Guthrie & Frey is definitely not the cheapest it most cases. However, I had several reasons for going with them. First, my parents had an iron filter/curtain and new softener system put in a couple years ago after also shopping around and going with them based on reviews. My mom continues to rave about them to this day and got another very close family friend to update their softener system with Guthrie & Frey.
The other reason is that I called them out for a water test and had a very please experience with Craig. He was honest with me that we did not need a softener installed (Note: we were considering both a softener and a reverse osmosis system at the same time). He also added that any sales that were made would be on commission. So, his suggestion basically was what he thought we needed for our home, but not what would benefit him as much. We spent several weeks considering it and Craig called exactly once, about 3-4 days after his visit, if I recall. There was no pressure and I called Craig back to discuss several details about a potential install about a week after his call. I am guessing they probably assumed we opted not to go with them because of the delay. (It was actually a combination of discussing with my wife and being out of town that drew out our decision so long.)
Between the direct experience (the visit, helpful calls, and no pressure) and the one my parents had, we ultimately ended up go with both systems. The day of the install went really well. He was willing to discuss all possible install locations and was very transparent with all details an questions.
The last thing is that the warranties for the different systems included both parts and 100% labor. The duration varied between the two systems, but was much better than about half of the others that we considered.Guthrie & Frey Water Conditioning, L.L.C.

We have used Guthrie and Frey for the last five years. They are remarkable, professional, prompt. They welcome your questions, check and double check everything and clean up everything before they leave. They took a lot stress out of our lives with their products and systems. Guthrie and Frey provided us with prompt and friendly service at a fair price. They answered our questions and gave us an honest opinion on whether to fix our existing water softener unit or to have a new one installed. In the end, we decided to have a new one installed due to our water conditions. That process was fast, easy and seamless. I have used Guthrie and Frey for many many years both as a consumer and a real estate agent. They have excellent service and if I ever have a problem with my own personal iron curtain system, (which I rent from them) they are able to service it fast.
