On 2/26/2023 for referring physician charge of ******** which was not submitted to my insurance correctly. I received a bill from Madison Emergency Physicians SC and thought I had to pay this. I paid this bill on 5-15-2023 with my credit card. I then contacted my insurance provider and they never received the claim from Madison Emergency Physicians SC. The insurance company contacted Madison Emergency Physicians SC to submit the claim which they did. The insurance company sent payment to Madison Emergency Physicians SC. My account now has a credit of ******** which I have not received back. I call Madison Emergency Physicians SC and was told that it takes them ***** days to process a credit back towards my credit card. I called again today 8/11/2023 and was now told they do not credit back credit cards. I will have to wait ***** days for them to issue a check to send out to me. At this point they are just giving me the run around. My insurance paid what I was responsible for and my account has a credit of ******** on it but can not get this refunded.

Madison Emergency Physicians billing department fails to properly submit claims to insurance. The first occurance of this was resolved when they actually submitted to my insurance. The current issue rests in that they have billed my insurance for a balance and my insurance paid out the bill due (verifiable through EOB and insurance help line) but the billing department refuses to clear my balance. At this point, I have provided everything to them regarding the check that was sent to them from my insurer and yet my ************** to remain unpaid. I am concerned that their failure to properly manage billing will result in being sent to collections fraudulently.

On September 17 and 18th I went to the emergency room and then billed after insurance by Madison Emergency Physicians two bills each costing $25. Which I then payed and they cashed both checks check # **** and # **** both in the amount of $25 equaling $50. Now Madison Emergency Physicians has sent the $50 to a collection agency. Even though I have on multiple occasions shown proof of payment then being told by representative ******************************* of Madison Emergency physicians that pictured cleared checks are not proof enough of payment! We should not pay twice from poor record keeping and bad business by Madison Emergency Physicians.

Each time that I have a bill from Madison Emergency Physicians it is not submitted to my insurance company. I have to call each time and give my insurance information for them to submit the bill. THEN....once they submit it...it is ALWAYS denied by my insurance company because Madison Emergency Physicians does not code the services correctly. It has been an epic waste of my time and money. I am afraid that they are ripping people off because people get so frustrated that they just pay the bill. This is not okay. This company needs to make some MAJOR changes. In addition, to this recurring problem, I filed a HIPPA complaint against them because they sent about 10 other patient's bills to my address. This is a terrible company. I am truly sorry if you have to deal with them. I have wasted about 7 days of my life on the phone with them.
