1 starAaa is not a legit company for services they provide. Reason why I said that is you are really not going to always be a member if you were to use the services they provide. Even though they are a terrible company who left me stranded in my car when is was below 0 for over 4 hours. After that they closed my membership as non renewal . Because I had use to many roadside services! They are a rip off in my eyes! Don't sign up if you plan to use any of their terrible services.Review fromjacqueline c

1 star2 terrible experiences with AAA has me reconsidering my membership. I have AAA RV plus which includes 100 miles of free towing. Last year, I was stranded 90 miles from home late at night in a major city. My car was drivable (albeit in 'limp mode') so I did not want to leave my keys in the car. I was promised a tow within the hour. 5 hours and multiple promises later, I was finally told to arrange for a ride home (!) and AAA committed to a tow first thing in the morning. I finally arrived home at 1am, woke the next day and took time off of work so that i could meet the driver at the promised time. Guess what? another no show. after waiting another 4 hours, i was told by AAA to arrange for my own tow and they'd reimburse me. They ultimately reimbursed me, but seriously?? Next occurance was this past weekend at night. My car was undrivable and was promised a tow within the hour. Guess what? No tow, no updates, radio silence. after 2 more calls I was told that a tow would come in the morning. Do you see where this is going? Ya - 11 am the next day, no tow. Again - had to take care of moving the car ourselves. AAA has been consistently disappointing. I expect unreliability from them. I am actively looking for another roadside assistance program. As for maps - i can get what i need from the internet. Stay away from this half baked unreliable company.Review fromCristiana J

1 starThis service is terrible. Having sent for a tow truck for it to be cancelled multiple times over the course of twelve hrs. Also getting charged for multiple events for the same one event. The issue is with the road side assistance call center. The level of incompetence is astounding. For a company that claims that its service gives peace of mind, it sure doesnt feel that way. I hope that the multiple charges are figured out and needed changes are made in the roadside assistance program.Review fromCynthia K

I was stuck in a snowbank and was waiting for assistance through AAA. At the one hour **** when no one showed up or called I made my second call to AAA and was given the name of the next business that was going to be contacted. I then contacted that business directly and was told that when they received the call from AAA...... they told the rep they would not come to me because I was out of their service area. At that point I made my third call to AAA and told the representative that I spoke to company number two and that they were not going to come to assist me because I was out of the area so then I suggested that they call a local company that I know except AAA because they sent them to assist me in the past. The representative said she would contact this company. I waited for a few minutes and I contacted the company that was local to me and I was told the AAA never contacted them on my behalf. I then called customer service representative number four and this gentleman told me that no one was available to come and assist me. When I asked him why the local company had not been contacted he told me that they are not allowed to call anyone that the customer recommends! At this point I gave up and I sat and waited until some Good Samaritans came and dug me out!American Automobile Association of WI

The absolute WORST customer service I ever experienced!!!! I waited over 10 hours for a tow truck that was placed 3 times only to be told the last time that it was cancelled for additional fees that was due. Their only explanation was that the other customer service reps must hadnt done their job! Dont waste your time or money with this worthless company.American Automobile Association of WI

The main reason I purchased AAA was for my daughter to use in case of emergency while going to college in ***********. Last night was her first experience with AAA and it was not a good one. She called AAA for a tow and was assured a truck would be there in 90 minutes. After two hours she called back and they said they would check and call her back in 20 minutes. NOPE NO CALLBACK. Finally a police officer stopped and called a tow truck which was there in 20 minutes. $250 later she was on her way. The officer mentioned in his experiences this is pretty normal for AAA in his area. We'll see how getting my $250 back goes. My advice would be save your money and don't get AAA. I'm done with it after my year is up.American Automobile Association of WI

1 starFirst time using AAA. Requested a tow. It's been over 24 hours since I first called and they keep telling me, "The tow truck will be there in 90 minutes, stay put." I've been stranded overnight and all AAA can tell me is, "Sorry for the wait, it'll just be another 90 minutes."Review fromCatherine R.

AAA is terrible at customer service unless they are selling you something. I've been a member for well over 20 years. My bank mailed them a payment on September 23rd through Bill Pay for a payment due on September 30. AAA still hasn't applied my payment. They claim the post office can take 7-10 days. The post office can take that long for packages, but regular mail doesn't take that long in the contiguous United States. I think their problem is laziness internally. Other companies who get checks through Bill Pay mailed to them always get their mail on time. I will be looking for alternatives after this year. My bank has opened a case for an official inquiry as to why the payment didn't reach them. AAA is horrible so now I have to worry about needing a tow because they are extremely slow dealing with their mail. It has nothing to do with USPS. I send cards to relatives across the country and it gets there in 3 days...5 days when they are backed up and AAA is the only place I do business with that has this issue.

We will see if it is to my satisfaction if they don't charge me fees. I spoke with ***** and he was polite. I called AAA on 10/4/22 and they still hadn't received my payment from Bill *** that they sent out on September 23rd. So I called Bill *** at US Bank and told them to put a stop payment since it was past the due date. I then called and had to pay with a credit card because I was without roadside protection. ***** told me AAA received the Bill *** payment and that the bank called AAA to inquire about the payment and AAA informed them that they received my payment, but at the time I used my credit card because I called AAA the same day and they told me that hadn't received the check by ************. Supposedly that same day...AAA got the check from Bill *** and I was told they would refund me the double payment which should take ***** days. ***** also informed me I would get a $30 credit for my troubles. I looked at my bank account and Bill *** didn't clear that check so I called Bill ***. The woman at Bill *** stated that they caught the check and was able to do the stop payment. It doesn't make sense to me that they would stop payment, if in fact they were told the check was received, but who knows what happened in that mess. I trust the competency of Bill *** and they have a contract with **** to get their checks out for customers in time. I know AAA tried to tell me **** can take **** days, but that is typically packages and Bill *** has a contract with **** and I'm pretty sure **** wouldn't want to lose their contract with a major account like that. So perhaps AAA just so happened to receive the check 10 days after the bank sent it and they just so happened not to have it when I called on the very same day to ask if they have it and was told no. I informed AAA I will not pay any stop payment fees due to this entire fiasco mess. Bill *** won't be charging me because it is a part of their guarantee from ****. I still think this entire thing is a lack of efficiency at AAA. I will be satisfied once AAA has it figured out and only if they don't place any fees on my account.Review fromTroy Q

2nd time in two months that I've waited over 6 hours for a tow. This time the app said it would be here 1.5 hours after registering on the app... 3 hours later, found out that the tow company wasn't coming and the ticket would be reassigned. 3 hours after that, found out that the 2nd company wasn't coming and the ticket needed to be reassigned. AAA is total garbage... Don't waste you time or you money.American Automobile Association of WI
