      1. Excessive and Rising Fees Transaction volume: Approximately $45 per month in credit-card sales over the last two years.Annual cost: Despite this modest volume, my total yearly charges exceeded $3,000 once all pass-through and miscellaneous fees were added.Unexplained debits: A single line-item debit of $400+ appeared on my statement (screenshot attached). After nearly a year of inquiries I still have no clear explanation beyond vague references to a potential chargeback that never materialized on my side. Only to find out after another over $500.00 debit that is was a software fee above and beyond the monthly fee. 2. Misleading Statement Presentation My monthly statements routinely list credits that in fact post as debits, giving a false impression of refunds when the balance is actually increasing. This practice obscures the true cost of your service and makes reconciliation unreasonably difficult.

      I have worked in the *** world for about five years; I have never encountered a company as greedy as this one. The company will frivolously pull fees from a sales agent residuals whenever they please. This company makes it impossible for an ********** to function normally. For example, did you know if they receive an ACH reject from a merchant, a sales agent will just be charged the fee instead? Normally, this would go into a collections department or create a funding hold on the merchant's processing. Unfortunately, this company salivates over the thought of their money as soon as humanly possible, so they will usurp the money from whomever. This company also has a habit of charging whatever fees to merchants and roll-out pricing increases nearly every quarter. Another fun example, this company has an "Annual Security Bundle Fee" that jumped to $299.99 last year. Obviously, I did not want our merchants to be charged this fee, so I opted out approximately half of our book entirely. There is a nominal buy rate associated with it - a price we would gladly eat to make sure our merchants are happy. Instead of adhering to my "Opt Out" list, they went ahead and charged half of our book these fees anyway citing "too many people tried to opt out, so we charged them". I am sorry, but what? That is absolute insanity. Read these reviews and other reviews you see online. Do not waste your time with this company.Not to be cliche, but I genuinely wish I could give this company 0 stars.

      We are a small business in *********, ** call ************* ************* we use to utilizes CardConnect for managing our customers, monthly payments, and enrollment processes. we have encountered a concerning issue with CardConnect as we noticed unauthorized withdrawals from our account on three separate occasions. The total amount withdrawn adds up to over $3000.00 Upon investigating this matter with CardConnect, we were informed that our merchant ID had been stolen, and unauthorized transactions were processed using force credits, leading to the withdrawals from our account. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue with CardConnect over the past few months, we have not been able to find a satisfactory solution. We have been assured by CardConnect that their site is secure and safe, and the incident was not due to any fault from their end. As a small business, the unauthorized withdrawals have had a significant impact We have reached out to then to seek assistance in resolving this matter promptly and recovering the funds that were taken from our business without authorization. Unfortunately. They have not help us to resolving this issue and would not recommend any other business use there programs.

      They are fine for what they are, until you have to actually work with them through anything, then good luck. In my situation, our CardConnect account was set up by our office manager who left the company 2 years back. I had no idea that they allowed this person to sign as an authorized agent of the company, so to my chagrin, when I needed to change which bank account deposits and payments were to be pulled from, I was unable to accomplish this task. So here is how it goes down. CardConnect asks me to complete all a bank account change form. OK, no problem. Done. Oh, we can't accept that because you are not the authorized representative on the company file. (Please note, that I am the only person listed as an Agent/User on the website, so this in not obvious) Back and forth we go and I upload multiple documents, including bank statements, Operating Agreement, Identification, Voided Check etc. Response from CardConnect. We are sorry, but the Company name on the check does not match the company name on file. Again, back and forth we go. No one offers to tell me what bank name is on file, so I have no idea WHY I can't get anything done. It was only through luck that I was completing 1099's and saw they had a link for 1099 information on the website. Low and behold the company had a single letter misspelling. SO MUCH confusion and aggravation could have been avoided with just this tiny bit of information. So reluctantly I complete the Legal Business name change form (Only because at this point I am irate). Oh, and then they had the audacity tell me to stop swearing at their employees through the ticketing system. Funny thing is, I went back and checked, and nope, no swearing. It is important to note this issue is still ongoing and we started this process back in July. Since the beginning, there have been 2 different tickets and today I am told I have to resubmit everything again to change the authorized user, because the prior one was closed. Done.

      They start off a little expensive and just keep getting more expensive. Over the last year I processed about $1,200 in credit card transactions and my total charges for the year was higher than $1,200 when you add fees. I finally decided to cancel, and they make the process very labor intensive. Waiting on the phone for someone then have to transfer you to someone else and wait longer, then they want to change their rates and at last you have to send an email.

      Less than 1 is more appropiate. Our business was set up with Cardconnect by an agent over 15 years ago. When he decided to go with another company, he told the agent about cancelling and expected him to take care of that. The agent told him he would cancel it. We never received any statements for this company after that. Which come to find out 15 years later and know statements, that they were still charging us a processing fee of over $200 a month. With not receiving any statement or there name not listed on our bank statement, the previous bookkeeper had no idea what the charge was other than thinking it was for the new processing company. It was not. If she would have got a statement from them she would have known that it wasn't cancelled by the agent, and then would have contacted them 15 years ago. This is theft and when asked about not receiving statements they had no answers except in 2020 during Covid they went to online. Well where were they before. Now we are cancelled but still had a charge of $223.84 taken out . We would like at least that to be refunded as we were told that we couldn't recoup the over $30000 that was stolen from us inconspicously. Never use this company. They told us to speak with the agent with whom we had the account set up with. We are now looking into suing them to get the money they were more than happy to steal from us.

      I signed up for this company to process my card payments. After processing $120,000 without a hiccup I got 2 chargebacks totaling roughly $900 and they put a 'Risk Review' on my account, while holding $19,000 in settled deposits from my business. They then cancelled my account saying my business was too risky even though my business has almost perfect reviews wherever you look and thousands of satisfied customers. This put me in a position of finding a new payment processor on the spot and I had to shut down my entire online business for 2 days until I could get a new processor in place, causing me a loss in revenue of about $5,000. I still have not received my withheld funds after 5 months of calling customer support. This withheld cashflow from my business has caused serious damage and emotional distress. There's still no resolution in sight. I've wasted 20+ hours over the 5 months talking to customer support and they always have another step I need to take in order to release my own funds. I'm literally running in circles just trying to get my own deposits back. This company has no understanding of the damage they're causing small businesses like mine and they don't care at all. These types of companies should be shut down. I need a resolution from this immediately.

      Horrible customer service, including rude staff and weeks to resolve support requests. I am currently involved in an issue with them that has taken 2 weeks and gone in circles and still unresolved. They have interfered in my ability to operate my business and taken tremendous amounts of my time trying to resolve this issue. When I requested to speak with a manager to resolve this, I was denied. Therefore, I am issuing this review to make others aware. Please choose a different company!

      They will call you right away if you claim to want to open an account. As soon as you state you are an existing customer with an account you want to close, they start shuffling you around, The first transfer gets your account number(s) and finds your active accounts, but tell you that they are not the department for cancellations. The next tells you that they can't find your account and redirects you to a department for "your account type". Eventually, you either end up at company that says they are not associated with Cardconnect, or your call gets mysteriously dropped and you have to start over. The only part about this company that makes it semi-legitimate is that they, in fact, process actual credit card transactions. It's all the additional, unwanted, "services" (or lack thereof) that make this company a scam.
